The middle-aged Auror's body fell to the ground.

Countless cries of alarm rang out!

"No!"

Argus reached toward where the middle-aged Auror had fallen, his fingers loosely curled.

As though trying to catch something, he hurried toward the corpse.

He reached out and gently closed the man's eyes.

His voice was filled with sorrow.

"Why... why would you even..."

"Avada Kedavra!"

The head Auror was afraid!

He dared not let Argus speak again, terrified that he, too, would fall under the spell of his words!

His spell was like a signal!

Several sickly green lights flashed from around the square!

Their target was Argus in the square!

The Killing Curses that struck fear into countless people did not make Argus show any panic.

Instead, an imperceptible smile curled his lips.

With two top-tier wizards, Vinda Rosier and Abernathy, at his side.

How could such an obvious attack possibly hit him!

Sure enough, the instant the green light flared, two spells formed two stone walls before him.

The sickly green Avada Kedavra spells collapsed on contact!

Before the Acolytes could act, several young Aurors turned on their own, taking down the leaders outright!

"Expelliarmus!"

"Petrificus Totalus!"

"..."

In just a few seconds, the Aurors who had attacked were knocked to the ground.

Just as green light flashed on Vinda Rosier's wand and she prepared to kill them, Argus spoke.

"Wait, Aunt Vinda!"

He pushed Vinda's wand aside and walked toward the captured Aurors.

The Acolytes parted like a tide, clearing a path for him.

Looking at the indignant Aurors, Argus let out a long sigh.

"Haven't you killed enough of our companions over the years? Why must you wipe us out to the last?"

"My father is already imprisoned by you, and now you won't even spare an eleven-year-old child!"

"Pah! You're just like your father, a devil who bewitches people! A scourge upon the wizarding world!"

The head Auror gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with hatred.

"You call us a scourge, but what have we done? Pursued truth? Pursued freedom?"

"Is wanting wizards to live in the sunlight a crime, too?"

Argus did not grow angry. Instead, he showed a trace of sadness, a glint of blue flashing through his eyes.

"I told you, we have never been enemies. We share the same identity and the same goals."

"What we should be doing is..."

"Avada Kedavra!"

The head Auror had concealed a wand somewhere and launched another sneak attack the instant Argus drew close!

"Argus!" Unprecedented terror flashed across Vinda Rosier's face as she rushed toward him without a thought for anything else.

But a contemptuous smile curved Argus's lips, as though he had expected this all along.

He dodged the attack with a slight turn of his body.

"Sir, you seem to have forgotten. My gift of prophecy may indeed be inferior to my father's, but it isn't entirely useless."

Argus raised his wand and spun across the square with elegant dance steps.

"Protego Diabolica!"

As the incantation rang out, pale blue flames burned all around him!

Though not as dazzling as Grindelwald's had been all those years ago, they were enough to drive the Acolytes wild.

Even Vinda Rosier, who had personally cared for him for years, could not conceal the fervor in her eyes!

"Protego Diabolica! It's Protego Diabolica!"

Abernathy's shocked voice rang out behind Argus. Argus chuckled and looked at the Acolytes.

"Everyone, the final moment has arrived. Step through these flames and shatter the illusions of those who slumber!"

"Go forth and fight for the greater good!"

"Go and proclaim to the entire wizarding world that the Acolytes have returned!"

Watching the boy in the center of the square, Vinda Rosier suddenly smiled and strode into the flames.

Abernathy followed, his face filled with fanaticism.

"For the greater good!"

Led by the two of them, the Acolytes stepped into the flames one after another, then departed by Apparition.

At that moment, system notifications flashed through Argus's mind.

[Congratulations to the host for taking control of the Acolytes. Achievement obtained: Heir of the Dark Lord] [Achievement point reward: 500]

Five hundred points. Enough for five draws in one go!

Once this is settled, I'll find somewhere quiet and consider how to use them.

Argus thought to himself.

After everyone left, only Argus, Vinda Rosier, and Abernathy remained. Vinda looked at the bound Aurors at her feet and asked Argus.

"Argus, what should we do with these Aurors?"

Without even glancing at them, Argus waved his wand.

Blue flames instantly swallowed them.

"Aurors? What Aurors?"

Inside a pitch-black tower.

A white-haired old man with mismatched eyes regarded Argus with interest.

"Well done, little fellow."

"What do you plan to do next? Take over the Austrian Ministry of Magic?"

With his adopted son Argus to pass the time, Grindelwald was in far better condition than his wretched state in the original story.

Though imprisoned in Nurmengard, his quality of life was hardly poor. Apart from not going out, it was no different from living outside.

At Grindelwald's question, Argus curled his lip disdainfully.

"I'd like to live a few more years! How would taking over the Ministry now be any different from formally declaring war?"

"If not for that agreement you made back then, I certainly wouldn't have made such a big spectacle. Quietly lying low until the day I truly come into my own would be the best choice."

Grindelwald spread his hands, looking somewhat helpless.

"I never expected you to actually pass those old fellows' tests."

"How about I send you to Durmstrang to hide out for a few years?"

"Forget it. I'd be better off staying in Nurmengard than going there. At least the Ministry wouldn't dare act in front of you." Argus shook his head in refusal.

"As for what I'll choose next, you've already figured it out, haven't you?"

"You want to go to Britain?" Grindelwald arrived at the answer after a moment's thought.

"The German and Austrian Ministries of Magic are already monitoring us to an extreme degree. After today, they'll rack their brains even harder to target the Acolytes."

"Rather than keep fighting a losing battle here, we might as well head to Britain and seek a new path."

"Besides..." A smile curled Argus's lips.

"I can go to Hogwarts and help you get a little payback!"

"Just imagine. The students Dumbledore worked so hard to teach joining the Acolytes one after another, all the fruits of his years of effort ending up in our hands..."

Argus's voice was full of enticement, and a hint of temptation inevitably appeared in Grindelwald's eyes.

Studying at Hogwarts was something Argus had decided on when he obtained the system.

It was not only for the Acolytes' development, but also for the system's achievement rewards.

Compared with Durmstrang or Beauxbatons, Hogwarts was where the protagonist, Harry Potter, lived and where the whole story began. Even thinking with his lower head, he knew there would definitely be far more opportunities to earn achievement points there than at the other two.

His own talent was one thing, but Argus was equally unwilling to miss out on the system's boosts.

"But you don't have an acceptance letter from Hogwarts."

A glint of cunning flashed through Grindelwald's eyes as he looked at him with a thoroughly teasing expression.

Argus was not falling for that. He had known the orphanage he lived in was in Britain from the moment he transmigrated. Today was his birthday, so Hogwarts would definitely send a fat, round-faced Scottish bird to deliver his letter.

If he had not received it yet, there was only one possible explanation...

The old geezer in front of him had hidden it!

Noticing Argus's suspicious gaze, Grindelwald waved his hand in displeasure, releasing an owl from behind him to fly over to Argus.

"Suspecting even your own father, little Argus. You're becoming less adorable by the day!"
