Ch. 226Another Red Road Poneglyph

Kazu and his companions arrived at the Mokomo Dukedom, where Kazu told the Musketeer Squad that they were adventurers seeking a rubbing of the Red Road Poneglyph. Sicilian recognized Kazu and, after hearing his claim of ties to the dukes, decided to bring them inside to meet Duke Inuarashi.

  • Kuhn hurried to Duke Inuarashi’s office to report that ten adventurers had arrived, and Sicilian led a group of Musketeers to the city gate.
  • The Musketeers found Kazu and his companions sharing food with the dog-headed warrior assigned to watch them.
  • Kazu introduced the group as sea adventurers and openly said they had come to make a rubbing of the Red Road Poneglyph.
  • Kazu told Robin that he had learned about the Poneglyph from Whitebeard and claimed the country’s kings had ties to the Whitebeard Pirates.
  • Sicilian recognized Kazu and decided to invite the group inside so Duke Inuarashi could question them.

Ch. 227Entering the Mokomo Dukedom

Kazu and the Blond Hair Pirates earned Sicilian’s trust by sharing a lavish meal with him and the other minks, then followed him through the Mokomo Dukedom to Duke Inuarashi’s residence. Sicilian went inside to report their arrival while the group waited outside.

  • Sicilian agreed to take Kazu and his companions to meet Duke Inuarashi, with the minks staying alongside them until the meeting.
  • Kazu invited Sicilian and the other minks to eat, then produced more food and liquor for the gathering.
  • The minks enjoyed the feast, apologized for their manners, and thanked Kazu for his hospitality.
  • Sicilian led the group through the city and wooded paths to Duke Inuarashi’s residence.
  • Sicilian entered the house to report their arrival while the others waited outside.

  • Sicilian reported that the Blond Hair Pirates were outside the city and had treated the Musketeer Squad kindly.
  • Duke Inuarashi recognized Kazu and welcomed him, then relaxed after hearing the crew had come to explore.
  • Kazu claimed Whitebeard had told him about Inuarashi, moving the duke with the reminder that Whitebeard remembered him.
  • Duke Inuarashi invited Kazu and his crew to a grand banquet and offered to show them the country the next day.
  • Carlmand, Behrens, and the others helped prepare the banquet, while Kazu supplied a hundred crates of fine wine.

Ch. 229The King of Day and the King of Night

Kazu supplied fine wine for a grand banquet where the Blond Hair Pirates and the Mink Tribe of Zou celebrated together. As evening approached, Carlmand and Drew learned that Duke Inuarashi and Cat Viper divided rule of the Mokomo Dukedom by day and night to avoid meeting.

  • Kazu dismissed concerns about the cost of the wine and the banquet began beneath the great tree.
  • Carlmand entertained female minks with stories while Drew hurried off to win attention by telling stories of his own.
  • Behrens tempted Sicilian and the other Musketeers with wine and food until Duke Inuarashi invited them to join the celebration.
  • A female mink reminded Duke Inuarashi that it was nearly six o’clock, prompting the visitors to ask why the time mattered.
  • The minks explained that Duke Inuarashi ruled from six in the morning to six in the evening, while Cat Viper ruled from six in the evening to six in the morning.

  • Pedro said Cat Viper had just woken up and was bathing before greeting the guests.

Kazu took offense when Cat Viper praised Oden’s bond with Whitebeard and erupted with Conqueror’s Haki across Whale Forest. Cat Viper demanded an explanation after seeing how powerfully Kazu dismissed Oden.

  • Cat Viper welcomed Kazu and reminisced about Oden’s time aboard Whitebeard’s ship.
  • Kazu silently bristled at Cat Viper’s praise of Oden, while Law warned the Blond Hair Pirates that Kazu was about to lose his temper.
  • Kazu called Oden a traitor for leaving Whitebeard to join the Roger Pirates and unleashed his Conqueror’s Haki, damaging Whale Forest and knocking out many Mink Tribe members.
  • Cat Viper challenged Kazu over his contempt for Oden, and Kazu argued that Oden had let Whitebeard down.

Ch. 232A one-move wager

Kazu offered to retract his remarks if Cat Viper could withstand one move, but demanded two favors if he could not. Cat Viper accepted the wager and prepared to face Kazu alone in the forest.

  • After Kazu's Conqueror's Haki struck the minks, Cat Viper apologized for his words about Oden and asked Kazu to stop.
  • Kazu refused to let the insult pass and wagered that Cat Viper must withstand one move or agree to two demands.
  • Cat Viper accepted the challenge, and the group moved to the forest to avoid damaging the house.
  • Pedro and other Mink Tribe warriors moved the unconscious minks to safety, while Cat Viper ordered Pedro to stand aside.
  • Kazu asked whether Cat Viper was ready and said the result would be the same even if they all attacked him.

Ch. 233An Incomparably Powerful Strike

Kazu unleashed a powerful slash at Cat Viper, who transformed into his Sulong form under the full moon and tried to withstand it. The strike broke through Cat Viper’s defenses and hurled him through the woods and into a wall, where Sicilian woke to find him crashed on the floor.

  • Cat Viper challenged Kazu to attack and insisted he could block one strike.
  • Kazu drew Muramasa and prepared a slash infused with Conqueror’s Haki and spatial power.
  • Cat Viper transformed into his Sulong form beneath the full moon, and Pedro explained the Mink Tribe’s transformation.
  • Kazu launched a Conqueror’s Coating Wave Slash, and Cat Viper met it with Haki and gathered electricity.
  • Cat Viper held out for three seconds before the slash wounded his chest and sent him crashing through trees and into the wall near Sicilian.

Ch. 234Cat Viper Awakens

Cat Viper was brought back to the Mokomo Dukedom severely wounded after fighting the Blond Hair Pirates, and Duke Inuarashi rushed to investigate. Cat Viper woke before the messenger returned, but Inuarashi had yet to learn what had happened.

  • Sicilian summoned a doctor, who stabilized Cat Viper’s grievous sword wound, and sent word to Duke Inuarashi.
  • A Musketeer Squad member woke Duke Inuarashi and reported that Cat Viper had been found unconscious and badly injured.
  • Duke Inuarashi hurried to Cat Viper’s bedside and asked Sicilian whether he knew why Cat Viper had fought the Blond Hair Pirates.
  • Cat Viper woke up, traded insults with Duke Inuarashi, and tried to rise despite the goat doctor and nurses warning that his wounds might reopen.

Ch. 235Kazu Acted as Though Nothing Had Happened

After Cat Viper was badly injured in his wager with Kazu, Duke Inuarashi learned what had happened and set out for the Whale Forest to resolve the dispute. Kazu waited there calmly after sending Cat Viper flying, while Pedro stayed behind to keep control of the situation.

  • Cat Viper told Duke Inuarashi how he had angered Kazu by mentioning Lord Oden and lost their one-move wager.
  • Inuarashi blamed Cat Viper but agreed they needed to learn Kazu’s two demands and ordered Sicilian and Musketeer Squad warriors to accompany him to the Whale Forest.
  • Cat Viper tried to walk instead of being carried, but his wounds hurt too much, so the warriors put him back on the stretcher.
  • Kazu reassured Pedro that Cat Viper would survive, then returned to the reception room to eat and drink.
  • Pedro sent Geermu and Sicily to find Cat Viper and stayed behind as Kazu casually resumed his meal.

Ch. 236Kazu's two requests

Kazu told Pedro his two requests: to recruit him into the Blond Hair Pirates and to obtain a rubbing of the Mokomo Dukedom's Poneglyph. Pedro agreed to join, but said the Poneglyph request would need to wait for Cat Viper to return and be discussed with the dukes.

  • Pedro offered to shoulder Kazu's requests himself if they endangered the Mokomo Dukedom.
  • Kazu asked to recruit a Mink Tribe member and chose Pedro after Pedro volunteered.
  • Pedro accepted Kazu's first request and said he would discuss leaving with Boss Nekomamushi.
  • Kazu revealed his second request was a rubbing of the Mokomo Dukedom's Poneglyph.
  • Pedro said he could not approve the request, so Kazu agreed to wait for Cat Viper's return.

Ch. 237Heading to Where the Poneglyph Was Kept

After Cat Viper conceded defeat, Duke Inuarashi agreed to Kazu’s demands, including allowing the Blond Hair Pirates to make a rubbing of Zou’s Poneglyph. The next morning, the group headed to the hidden chamber beneath the whale-shaped tree to find it.

  • Two Guardians members met the Musketeer Squad, then joined Duke Inuarashi’s group as they carried Cat Viper toward the Whale Forest.
  • Cat Viper admitted he had lost his bet with Kazu and offered to fulfill two demands, while Duke Inuarashi apologized and pledged the Mink Tribe’s help.
  • Pedro explained Kazu’s demands and announced that he had accepted Kazu’s invitation to join the Blond Hair Pirates.
  • Cat Viper accepted Pedro’s decision, and Duke Inuarashi agreed to take Kazu’s crew to make a rubbing of Zou’s Poneglyph.
  • After a night of drinking, Duke Inuarashi and Cat Viper led the Blond Hair Pirates to the whale-shaped tree and opened a hidden door beneath its tail.

Ch. 238The second Road Poneglyph

Kazu and Robin found the second Road Poneglyph on Zou and made a rubbing before leaving with Pedro aboard the Divine Dragon. Kazu then teleported to Sabaody and headed underwater toward Fish-Man Island to seek another Poneglyph.

  • Robin deciphered the Road Poneglyph and confirmed that the center point of the four islands marked the location of Laugh Tale.
  • Robin made a complete rubbing of the tablet, and Kazu stored it safely in his Independent Space.
  • Pedro joined Kazu's crew, and Kazu led the group out of Zou toward Wano Country aboard the Divine Dragon.
  • Kazu teleported from the ship to Sabaody, knocked out a group of pirates with Conqueror's Haki, and sent them into the sea.
  • Kazu took the coated pirate ship underwater and sped toward Fish-Man Island.

Ch. 239The Third Red Road Poneglyph

Kazu traveled to Fish-Man Island and found the Red Road Poneglyph in the Sea Forest. He took it for himself, then returned to the Divine Dragon, leaving the race to reach Laugh Tale further in his hands.

  • Kazu used spatial power to protect his ship, entered Ryugu Palace, and asked mermaids for directions to the Sea Forest.
  • Kazu used Space Perception to locate two Poneglyphs and confirmed that the Red Road Poneglyph was still there.
  • Kazu reasoned that Shanks had likely taken the missing Poneglyph in the future to keep others from reaching Laugh Tale before Luffy.
  • Kazu put the Red Road Poneglyph in his Independent Space, left a Space Mark on Fish-Man Island, and returned to the Divine Dragon.

Ch. 240Heading to Wano Country

Kazu showed Robin another Road Poneglyph before the Divine Dragon reached Wano Country. The crew faced Wano’s turbulent seas and upstream waterfall, which Kazu chose to climb with the help of giant carp.

  • Kazu brought the Road Poneglyph he had obtained on Fish-Man Island to Robin, who immediately began studying it.
  • Kazu assigned Pedro to Oulait for training in Haki and swordsmanship.
  • After half a month, the Divine Dragon approached Wano Country through violent winds, rough currents, and waters dotted with stone pillars.
  • The crew saw giant carp swimming upstream and then discovered that a waterfall flowed upward into Wano.
  • Kazu refused to teleport the ship and used spatial ropes to have five carp pull the Divine Dragon up the waterfall.

Ch. 241Arrival in Kuri

Kazu and the Blond Hair Pirates arrived in Wano Country after avoiding a dangerous whirlpool, then learned they were in Kuri under Orochi’s rule. Kazu found the graves at Oden Castle, recognized them as Momonosuke and the others’ burial site, and decided he wanted Momonosuke dead.

  • Pedro spotted a huge whirlpool ahead, so Kazu used Space Swap to bring the Divine Dragon and its crew safely to Wano Country.
  • The crew explored Kuri and discussed samurai and ninjas while seeing how hunger had impoverished the local civilians.
  • Kazu asked locals about Wano Country and learned that Orochi was shogun and lived in the Flower Capital.
  • Remembering that Kin'emon, Momonosuke, and the others would return from the future near Oden Castle, Kazu left the crew and searched the area.
  • Kazu found the grave markers on a hill and identified them as the burial site of Momonosuke and the others, then resolved that he wanted Momonosuke to die.

Ch. 242The Prices Here Were Definitely Outrageous

Kazu set a deadly trap on the hilltop for Momonosuke and his companions, then took his group to the prosperous Flower Capital, where they encountered the courtesan Komurasaki. The group began exploring the city and realized its luxury contrasted sharply with the poverty in Kuri.

  • Kazu sealed the hilltop with a Space Barrier and planted a spatial sphere trap powerful enough to seriously injure Charlotte Linlin.
  • Kazu left the hilltop, brushed off his companions’ questions, and decided to head straight to the Flower Capital.
  • Kazu transformed into an azure-and-white Shenron and flew there with everyone inside a spatial shield, prompting witnesses to mistake him for Kaido or Kaido’s relative.
  • Kazu and his companions landed in the Flower Capital, where Kaido’s and Orochi’s men recognized that the dragon was not Kaido and sent word toward Udon.
  • Carlmand remarked that the Flower Capital and Kuri seemed like different worlds as the group admired the city’s clean streets and prosperous shops.
  • Kazu and his companions saw Komurasaki pass by in a palanquin, and the group began thinking about asking for more spending money.

Ch. 243I'm Going to Bring Glory to My Country

Kazu abandoned his plan to seek Kaido’s Red Road Poneglyph and leave Wano with Yamato after deciding to rescue Komurasaki from Orochi. He seized Kozuki Hiyori from her palanquin and left Carlmand freezing the men who tried to stop him.

  • Kazu and his crew admired Komurasaki and joked about competing for her, but Carlmand and Behrens backed down when Kazu challenged them to fight him together.
  • When Komurasaki’s fans protested, Kazu knocked several unconscious with Conqueror’s Haki, frightening the crowd.
  • Kazu blocked Kozuki Hiyori’s palanquin and used spatial force to pull her into his arms.
  • After the palanquin attendants ordered their men to attack Kazu, Carlmand froze them with the Chilly-Chilly Fruit.

Ch. 244Two Withered Bones in the Grave

Kazu took Kozuki Hiyori away after killing the men who had seized her, then promised to kill Orochi and confront Kaido. He led Hiyori and the others toward the shogun’s residence to show her his strength.

  • The crowd fled after Kazu killed dozens of men and took Kozuki Hiyori.
  • Kazu told Hiyori that she would serve him, and she accepted while warning him that Orochi and Kaido would retaliate.
  • Hiyori tried to test Kazu and appeal to his protectiveness, but he saw through her ploy and slapped her bottom.
  • Kazu promised to kill Orochi and take on Kaido, then set Hiyori down and led the group toward the shogun’s residence.

Ch. 245Orochi's Plans

Kazu and his group took Kozuki Hiyori to the shogun's residence, where Orochi saw the arrival of the Blond Hair Pirates as a chance to turn against Kaido. When the group forced its way inside, Orochi ordered Fukurokuju and the Orochi Oniwabanshu to kill them.

  • Kazu and his group stopped at a soba stall, ate a hundred bowls, and then continued toward the shogun's residence with Kozuki Hiyori.
  • Orochi learned that the Blond Hair Pirates had taken the courtesan he requested and decided to offer them hospitality while considering using them against the Beasts Pirates.
  • A subordinate reported that intruders had forced their way into the shogun's residence and overwhelmed the guards.
  • Orochi summoned Fukurokuju and ordered him to lead the Orochi Oniwabanshu in killing every intruder.
  • Fukurokuju gathered the Orochi Oniwabanshu and personally set out to suppress the rebels.

Ch. 246The Orochi Oniwabanshu

Behrens, Law, and Kazu’s crew attacked the shogun’s residence and overwhelmed the Orochi Oniwabanshu. Fukurokuju and the surviving ninjas tried to flee, but Kazu pulled them back into the courtyard.

  • Behrens killed four Orochi Oniwabanshu members with a bolt of azure lightning before they could see their attackers.
  • Law used ROOM and Shambles to bring seven hidden ninjas into the courtyard.
  • Galette blocked Fukurokuju’s silver needles with a butter shield, and Oulait cut down two ninjas with a Flying Slash.
  • Fukurokuju abandoned his remaining subordinates and fled to warn the shogun, while the other ninjas also escaped.
  • Kazu used his power to pull Fukurokuju and the four fleeing ninjas back into the courtyard.

Ch. 247Kurozumi Orochi's sorry state

Kazu and his allies defeated the Orochi Oniwabanshu and confronted Kurozumi Orochi in his residence. Kazu crippled Orochi’s arm, and Orochi transformed and offered cooperation to save himself.

  • Law killed Fukurokuju with Gamma Knife and High-Frequency Scalpel while Drew, Carlmand, and Pedro defeated the other guards.
  • Kazu led the group to Orochi’s quarters after Carlmand froze the guards on the second-floor stairway.
  • Orochi greeted Kazu and the Blond Hair Pirates warmly, pretending they were welcome guests.
  • Kazu twisted Orochi’s right arm into a mangled shape when Orochi reached toward him.
  • Orochi transformed into his Yamata no Orochi form and offered to cooperate against Kaido in exchange for Kazu stopping the attack.

Ch. 248Please demonstrate it again

Kazu killed Kurozumi Orochi’s first life, then revealed Orochi had seven more and repeatedly tortured him while preventing him from speaking. Kazu restored Orochi with Time Rewind, leaving him alive with the memory of his pain, and prepared to demonstrate the torture again.

  • Kazu mocked Orochi’s offer to work together and cut off one of his heads when Orochi threatened the women behind him.
  • Kazu explained that Orochi’s Yamata no Orochi Fruit gave him eight lives, and Orochi revealed he had survived the first attack by pretending to be dead.
  • Kazu silenced Orochi with the Space-Space Fruit and crushed his remaining heads, then pierced him with thousands of spatial needles.
  • After Orochi fell silent, Kazu used Time Rewind to restore him while leaving his memories of the torture intact.
  • Orochi realized Kazu intended to torture him again.

Ch. 249Kurozumi Orochi, dead!

Kazu killed Kurozumi Orochi after repeatedly bringing him back with Time Rewind, then left the shogun's residence with Kozuki Hiyori and his companions. Outside, Queen confronted them and transformed into a brachiosaurus after Kazu mocked the Beasts Pirates' claim to Wano.

  • Kazu used Time Rewind to revive Kurozumi Orochi six times and continue torturing him, but stopped when Orochi no longer reacted.
  • Kazu crushed Kurozumi Orochi into minced meat and teleported the remains into a toilet in Wano Country.
  • Kazu told Kozuki Hiyori that her revenge was settled and that she should serve him, then set off to have fun with Kaido.
  • Queen arrived with more than a hundred Beasts Pirates and challenged Kazu about entering their territory.
  • Kazu mocked Queen and rejected the Beasts Pirates' claim to the territory, so Queen transformed into his brachiosaurus form.

Ch. 250Deciding with rock-paper-scissors

Kazu defeated Queen with spatial and time powers, then offered his crew the chance to fight the battered pirate. Carlmand won the right to face Queen by beating Behrens at rock-paper-scissors.

  • Kazu struck Queen twice with spatial light, hitting him in the chin and groin.
  • Queen attacked with Brachio Headbutt, but Kazu froze him briefly and grabbed his neck.
  • Kazu spun Queen around and hurled him more than a thousand meters through buildings.
  • Carlmand and Behrens both volunteered to fight Queen, while Law, Drew, and Oulait declined.
  • Kazu made Carlmand and Behrens settle the dispute with rock-paper-scissors, and Carlmand won again.
