Konohamaru and his companions emerged from the lord's mansion, somewhat bewildered. The Ninja Academy hadn't taught them how to handle such situations.
Hanabi clenched her little fist and said fiercely, "Let's just beat him up and force him to sign the contract again!"
Konohamaru rolled his eyes and said irritably, "You're beating up a nobleman for no reason? Do you want the Lord Hokage to be reprimanded by the Daimyo?"
Hanabi shrank back, knowing her suggestion was unreliable. In their minds, the Daimyo was someone who could lead the Hokage, at least nominally.
If the Hokage were to be questioned by the Daimyo because of his actions, even if the Hokage didn't say anything and his teacher had no objection, the clan would definitely punish them severely.
Moegi whispered, "How about we use Genjutsu to control the lord and make him sign the contract?"
Konohamaru rejected the idea again. "Using Ninjutsu against a lord without cause is a serious violation of Konoha's rules. Do you want to be sent to the Konoha Torture and Interrogation Force? Besides, who among you knows how to use this kind of Genjutsu?"
Moegi turned his gaze to Udon; his teacher had explained the principles of Genjutsu to him.
Udon lowered his head. He couldn't yet cast such a complex Genjutsu. Facing his companions' gazes, he whispered, "Let's ask the teacher for his opinion."
Before Konohamaru could object, Hanabi Hyuga frowned, her long, thin eyebrows furrowing. "This is a test our teacher gave us, and I absolutely cannot fail! What right do I have to be our teacher's disciple if I fail!"
These words struck a chord with all four of them. They had already failed in protecting their client before, and their teacher had been forced to intervene. If their teacher needed to intervene again now, they felt they would have no face to face him again.
As they continued to discuss what to do, they saw the lord's steward rushing towards them.
"Oh! You're here! I've brought you some good news." The steward stroked his mustache and said to the four young ninjas, "Our lord has carefully considered your opinions and has decided to give the villagers a chance to renegotiate their contracts."
Konohamaru and the others were overjoyed to hear this. They hadn't been able to think of a solution, but unexpectedly, things took a turn for the better.
"Great! Let's go find the lord now and renegotiate the contract!"
The butler held up one finger and shook it. "No, no, no! There are conditions!"
Konohamaru hurriedly said, "What conditions? We agree."
Seeing that they readily agreed, the steward nodded and said, "About 20 miles from here, there is an Tangerine Mountain, where many bandits live."
They frequently raid the lord's caravans. If you can eliminate these bandits from the mountains, the lord will suffer far fewer losses in the future and will naturally be more willing to renegotiate the treaty with these villagers.
Konohamaru breathed a sigh of relief; the condition was really not difficult. Konoha ninjas often received missions to eliminate bandits, which was one of their duties.
"Okay, we agree!" Konohamaru agreed without hesitation.
The steward nodded. "Then it's settled. We'll renegotiate the contract with these villagers whenever you've dealt with the bandits."
After the two sides reached an agreement, Konohamaru hurriedly ran back to the village and told Shinsei and the others the news.
Shinsei remained noncommittal, offering no opinion, only telling them to make their own decision and to be careful on the road.
As dusk fell, the group of kids discussed how to wipe out the bandits first thing tomorrow morning.
Shinsei walked around the surrounding mountains and forests and brought back a huge wild boar.
It's not that the villagers can't catch this prey, but rather that these forests belong to the lord's private property, and they dare not hunt these animals.
After preparing a large quantity of meat, the villagers only dared to watch from afar, not daring to approach and taste the delicacies. Shinsei called out to them several times, but seeing that they dared not come closer, he stopped paying attention.
Only a few children couldn't resist the aroma and ran over to sit with Shinsei and the others, eating heartily.
Shinsei looked at the villagers around him, who were swallowing their saliva but cowering in fear, and felt a little angry at their lack of ambition.
If it were the China from my previous life, they wouldn't care about lords or anything like that. When they were starving, there was nothing they wouldn't do.
Only a nation like this has the potential to stand at the top of the world. It seems that Shinsei has a long and arduous road ahead if he wants to change the world.
After dinner, Shinsei called his disciples aside.
"Tomorrow we'll be facing those bandits, and as your teacher, I need to teach you some Ninjutsu."
When Shinsei taught them Ninjutsu before, he only gave them a general overview of the methods without going into more detail. His main goal was to let them think for themselves and gain something more important than ordinary Ninjutsu.
In hindsight, they were overthinking it. These students weren't geniuses; they couldn't apply what they learned to other situations or figure out the basic principles of Ninjutsu from ordinary Ninjutsu.
I wouldn't say I was particularly disappointed; from the beginning, it was just a small wish in Shinsei's heart.
However, it turns out that not everyone has the same idea of researching Ninjutsu as Orochimaru, nor does Shinsei have the same interest in researching Ninjutsu as Shinmaru.
This is also why, despite all four being Shinsei's students, they couldn't defeat a Chunin- level ninja; ultimately, Shinsei's teaching methods were far too profound.
Shinsei took out two scrolls from his ninja tool bag: one was Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet, and the other was Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Fire.
Water Release is for Moegi and Udon, as they both possess Water Release Chakra, Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet can enhance their attack methods; while Fire Style: Phoenix Flower Fire is for Konohamaru.
Hanabi looked pitifully at Shinsei, seeing that the other three had Ninjutsu to learn while she had none.
Shinsei said irritably, "You don't even use any of the five elemental Ninjutsu, so why are you staring at me? Now listen to the lesson properly."
Hanabi was somewhat disappointed, but her eyes lit up again when she heard Shinsei explain what he was going to say next.
Shinsei is giving a detailed explanation of Tsunade's Chakra Enhanced Strength Technique this time. Unlike his previous teaching methods, Shinsei is going into great detail this time, explaining everything from how to circulate Chakra, including the key points to pay attention to and under what circumstances to use it.
If the Chakra Enhanced Strength Technique we heard about before were equivalent to high school math, then in Shinsei's explanation, this high school math is now broken down into segments of elementary school math.
As long as there are no problems with understanding, everyone can comprehend what Shinsei is saying and then learn the Chakra Enhanced Strength Technique step by step.
Since Shinsei became their teacher, he has required them to train their Chakra control.
Now that Hanabi Hyuga was almost at the threshold of being able to use the Chakra Enhanced Strength Technique, she unconsciously stomped her foot down gently, following the way the Chakra Enhanced Strength Technique was performed.
An immense force spread from beneath her feet to the earth, and several clear cracks appeared beneath her feet.
The other three students couldn't help but look at Hanabi, their faces showing surprise.
Hanabi proudly flashed a peace sign at them.
