The Toneri's eyes flickered for a moment. He didn't answer, but simply raised his hand.
He aimed his palm at Shinsei, and emerald green Chakra rapidly condensed.
Nine black Truth-Seeking Orb were lined up in a straight line behind him.
Shinsei's Mangekyō Sharingan spun wildly. Blue patterns spread across his pupils, Chakra surged from every cell in his body, and white light condensed around him, forming bones, muscles, and armor.
Susanoo.
A white giant rose from the ground and pierced through the temple.
The towering Susanoo stood inside the moon, like a giant that blotted out the sky.
Shinsei stood in the center of Susanoo's forehead, gripping a long sword formed from Chakra in both hands.
Little Nine grabbed Hinata and jumped onto Susanoo's shoulder, the golden Tailed Beast Cloak and white Chakra complementing each other.
" Susanoo?" Toneri looked up at the white giant, his lips twitching. "Madara's technique. You think you can block me with that?"
He flicked his right hand, and a band of emerald green Chakra burst forth from his palm.
The Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion swept towards Shinsei's Susanoo with a swirling band of light, the sound of the air being torn apart was sharp and piercing.
Shinsei activated Susanoo to parry. The moment the beam of light struck the blade, the white Chakra sword snapped in two.
The beam of light continued its relentless advance, slicing diagonally across Susanoo. A clean cut appeared from the white giant's chest to his waist, and his entire upper body slowly slid down, crashing to the ground and sending up a shower of rubble.
Shinsei fell out of Susanoo, and Little Nine and Hinata followed suit.
The remains of Susanoo disintegrated into countless white specks of light behind them, scattering across the ruins of the temple.
The band of light from the Toneri slowly retracted after unleashing this attack.
The temple grounds were completely unrecognizable; the palace complex, corridors, and stone chambers had all been cut in half.
Lake water surged from the broken lakebed, flowing across the ruins. White flowering trees leaned to the side, their petals scattered by the wind like a silent snowfall.
Shinsei stood up from the ground. Little Nine lay at his feet, sticking out her tongue; her Chakra Cloak had faded to almost invisible.
Xiaobai poked half of its body out from Shinsei's body. Its white dragon body looked somewhat weak, clearly indicating that it had reached its limit.
Hinata stood not far away, supporting herself on her knees. The Tailed Beast Cloak of her Golden Body Mode was still on, but her breathing was already heavy.
"I told you, you can't win."
Toneri floated in mid-air, the Tenseigan behind him shining brightly. His white robes fluttered in the air currents, and his pale blue eyes looked down at Shinsei as if they were looking at an ant that refused to give up.
Shinsei did not respond. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Then his eyes reopened. In the blue Mangekyō, the patterns began to spin again.
The Senjutsu Chakra within his body began to surge, followed closely by the Storm Release Chakra.
Xiaobai tilted her head back and poured her last bit of strength into Shinsei's body without reservation.
Shinsei's Susanoo condensed once more, but this time it was no longer pure white.
The Chakra skeleton is infused with the pale gold of Senjutsu and the purplish-blue of Storm Release.
The newly formed Susanoo entirely white and purple, much larger than before, almost filling the entire temple. Shinsei leaped from the ground and landed on Susanoo's brow, placing his hands on the Chakra core.
"Again." His voice came from Susanoo, deep and firm.
Toneri's expression finally changed slightly. He raised his hands, and the emerald green Chakra bands shot out again.
Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
Two beams of light swept towards Shinsei's Susanoo simultaneously.
Shinsei's Susanoo simultaneously unleashed two swords.
The white-purple blade collided with the emerald green light band, and the shockwave completely blew the temple's dome away.
Huge boulders, glowing with a fiery green light, crashed to the ground, creating deep craters.
The entire interior of the moon was shaking violently, as if it couldn't withstand the collision of these two forces. The blade did not break.
The white-purple light and the emerald green band of light were locked in a stalemate in the air, producing a teeth-grinding friction sound.
"Not enough." Shinsei gritted his teeth.
His hands left the Chakra core, Susanoo roared as it took a step forward, its twin swords crossing and shredding the two light bands simultaneously.
Emerald green fragments scattered and flew everywhere, like shattered jade. Toneri was thrown back several meters, tumbling halfway through the air before regaining his balance.
He looked down at his hand; the web between his thumb and forefinger was split open, and pale blue blood was seeping out.
Shinsei didn't pursue. He needed time. His seal was already complete.
Three Shadow Clone Susanoo, sat down cross-legged, Hand Seals, and began to absorb Natural Energy.
Shinsei himself focused all his efforts on maintaining Susanoo, while Little Nine lay on Susanoo's shoulder, using the remaining Tailed Beast Chakra to help stabilize his Chakra circuits.
Xiaobai's dragon body fully unfolded, coiling around Susanoo's spine, becoming the giant's new energy core.
The white-purple Susanoo its head and let out a silent roar, its legs sinking into the earth, its feet crushing the foundation of the temple beneath its feet.
The battle between the two turned the moon's interior upside down. Each swing of Susanoo's sword carved out a trench hundreds of meters long.
Each of Toneri's reincarnation explosions turns large swathes of ground into scorched earth.
The palace complex has vanished completely. Columns, stone walls, murals, sarcophagi—everything has turned to rubble and dust. The white flowering trees have been uprooted, their petals and branches flying wildly through the air.
Most of the lake water evaporated, and what remained boiled in the cracks in the ground. The space inside the moon began to collapse, and the sky cracked open one after another, letting in starlight that shone on the battlefield that was being destroyed.
Inside Susanoo, Hinata suddenly raised her head. She felt something calling to her.
It was a familiar yet strange resonance, coming from the direction of the Tenseigan and directly affecting her Byakugan.
She looked at the Tenseigan; the enormous sphere was emitting a deep blue light, unlike the violent emerald green on Toneri's body—it was an extremely quiet, flowing light, like water.
That light gently touched her eyes, as if inviting her to come closer.
" Shinsei," Hinata's voice trembled slightly, " The Tenseigan... is calling me."
Shinsei did not turn back.
He was manipulating Susanoo block Toneri's relentless attacks. A massive blade of light swept past him, slicing through the armor on Susanoo's right shoulder, sending white and purple fragments flying.
He took a step forward, his twin blades once again blocking the band of light from the Toneri, the impact making his arms numb.
"What is it calling you?" Shinsei asked.
"I don't know, I feel like I can resonate with it." Hinata looked at the Tenseigan, something flickering in her eyes. "If I could touch it, maybe I could control it."
"I see."
Shinsei nodded, pondering how to get Hinata closer to that enormous Tenseigan.
As things stand, once she's out of his protective range, given Otsutsuki Toneri's current speed, he could easily kill her instantly.
Shinsei paused for a moment, then made his decision.
He created a final Shadow Clone to maintain the stability of Susanoo, while his main body emerged from between Susanoo's eyebrows.
White Chakra condensed in his palm, and he slowly adjusted his breathing.
"Are you sure?" he asked Hinata.
"I'm sure." Hinata nodded, and the light from her Golden Body Mode suddenly brightened a bit, as if she had made up her mind.
Shinsei didn't ask any more questions.
He leaped off Susanoo and landed on a pile of ruins. Xiaobai's dragon body emerged from his shoulder, already almost transparent.
Shinsei reached out and patted its head, then Hand Seals.
Water Release: Great Waterfall Technique!
He poured almost all of his Chakra into this technique, including the little Dragon Vein Chakra that Xiaobai had left.
Water gushed forth from his palms, like a river bursting its banks. The water grew stronger and stronger, first covering his ankles, then his knees, and finally engulfing the entire ruins.
The murky water rose extremely quickly, submerging the still-smoking craters, the crumbling palace ruins, and filling the entire interior of the moon.
The water reflected the starlight filtering through the sky, its deep blue hue carrying an eerie tranquility.
Toneri floated in mid-air, looking down at the rising water beneath his feet, and frowned.
" Water Release? You think you can use that trick against me? It won't change anything."
Shinsei did not answer. He simply stood on the water's surface, feeling the ripples.
This water is no ordinary water. It contains Shinsei's Chakra.
This water is Shinsei's Flying Thunder God.
The moon's interior was filled with water, and the entire space became Shinsei's domain.
His figure suddenly disappeared and reappeared on the water behind the Toneri.
Toneri turned and unleashed a blade of light, Shinsei vanished once more. He continued to appear and disappear in every corner of the water's surface, each appearance bringing him one step closer to the Tenseigan.
Toneri ignored Shinsei's harassment and raised his hands, the light of his Tenseigan surging towards him.
Two blazing golden flames shone in his eyes, and a destructive power gathered in his palms.
All the emerald green Chakra turned golden, a light more dazzling than the sun. Golden rays shot from his palms, soaring into the sky, piercing the heavens, passing through the moon's rocky layers, and reaching the depths of the starry sky.
Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!
"All of you, disappear!" The voice of the Toneri echoed from the golden light. "The moon, the earth, everything. I will rebuild everything from destruction."
Shinsei had been waiting for this moment. The charging motion of the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion would occupy all of Toneri's mind, preventing him from perceiving his surroundings while activating it.
Shinsei disappeared from the water's surface and reappeared beside Hinata. He picked Hinata up and used Flying Thunder God. The two appeared directly in front of the Tenseigan.
Shinsei placed Hinata's hand on the surface of the Tenseigan. Hinata's pupils suddenly dilated, and the power of the Byakugan resonated with the Tenseigan.
Her Chakra acted like a key, inserting itself into the core of the Tenseigan. The flowing patterns on the surface of the Tenseigan abruptly stopped.
Toneri's body trembled, and the light of the Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion was interrupted for an extremely brief moment.
Shinsei used up all his remaining Chakra and punched the Tenseigan.
A white-purple light burst forth from his fist, like a heavy hammer striking a transparent gemstone.
A tremendous cracking sound emanated from within the Tenseigan, and countless white cracks appeared on its surface.
Then it shattered. Not into pieces, but it exploded completely from the inside out.
Hundreds and thousands of Byakugan burst forth from the sphere, like a flock of white birds finally breaking free from their cage, circling above the blue water, dispersing, and gradually fading away.
The Toneri stood frozen on the water's surface. His hand was still raised, but the golden light had vanished.
He looked down at his empty palms, then at the collapsing Tenseigan.
An expression that Shinsei had never seen before appeared on his face—not anger, not despair, but a blankness that was almost a sense of relief.
Then he was submerged by the collapsed Tenseigan remnants. Huge waves surged up, carrying hundreds of Byakugan outwards.
The celestial canopy shattered completely, air leaked out of the moon's interior, water began to flow backward, and everything collapsed at a visible speed.
Shinsei embraced the exhausted Hinata, and several white Chakra ribbons emerged from behind him, gathering all the scattered Byakugan around them.
Hinata instinctively reached out and grabbed, drawing in several Byakugan with her Chakra, which then merged into the Sealing Jutsu in her palm.
"Let's go." Shinsei's voice was hoarse as he formed a hand Hand Seals and activated the Flying Thunder God Technique.
The two figures disappeared from the collapsed interior of the moon.
Behind them, the moon was split in two, with broken rocks and ice crystals slowly swirling and drifting in the starry sky, like a sleeping whale slowly disintegrating in the deep sea.
