Otsutsuki Toneri slightly opened his arms, making a welcoming gesture.
"Welcome to the Tenseigan Temple, Shinsei Senju, Hinata Hyuga, and the Nine-Tails ' clone."
Xiaobai poked its head Shinsei's body, shook its head slightly, seemingly dissatisfied—it wasn't being welcomed.
Shinsei raised an eyebrow. "You knew we were coming?"
"Of course. In fact, I have been observing you for a long time, Shinsei Senju. As a fellow descendant of the Ōtsutsuki Clan, you seem to be a special exception."
Even Madara Uchiha and Hashirama Senju, at your age, were far from reaching your current level, and that includes me as well.
The Toneri spoke slowly and deliberately, as if stating a fact.
"I didn't want to get to Hinata Hyuga so early, and I didn't want to gain her eyes so soon."
But your existence seems to pose a huge danger. I can't let you continue to grow."
Shinsei laughed, seemingly pleased with the affirmation from the enemy.
Toneri did not laugh. He took a step forward, raised his head, and his pale blue eyes reflected the light of the Tenseigan, like two deep, dark lamps.
" Shinsei Senju, I have a proposal." His voice deepened, carrying a strange solemnity.
"Join me in recreating this world. You can choose the family members you consider important and bring them to the moon."
The space here is large enough that the environment can be maintained artificially.
Then, they became the starting point for the new human race, and the first generation of offspring were born.
There was no war, no betrayal, no exploitation by daimyo, and no hatred between ninja villages.
He turned his head and looked directly at Shinsei.
"You are different. I've seen what's happening on the ground. You have the ability and the ideas. But you've taken the wrong path."
You want to change the old world, but the old world is rotten to the core. Even if you rebuild the system, the inherent flaws of humanity will remain.
Where there is greed, there will be strife. Where there is strife, there will be war. Why not take this opportunity to tear everything down and start over?
Hinata clenched her fists tightly. The fur on Little Nine-Tails stood on end.
Xiaobai peeked halfway out from Shinsei's shoulder, its dragon eyes watching Toneri.
Shinsei didn't answer immediately. He stopped smiling, looked at Toneri quietly, and remained silent for a while.
"You said you want to eliminate humanity's worst traits," Shinsei began. "But what are these worst traits? Greed, selfishness, fear, jealousy. Yes, these are all bad. But have you ever thought about it? Humanity has never been able to get to where it is today because of perfection."
The Toneri frowned.
"Because of fear, I learned to use fire."
Because of greed, we explore farther lands. Because of selfishness, we know how to protect those who are important to us.
Because of jealousy, they desperately try to catch up with those who are stronger.
Shinsei raised his hand and tapped his chest.
"These things you call inherent flaws are the fuel that propels humanity forward."
If you remove all of those traits and leave only what you call kindness, gentleness, and purity, that new kind of humanity, like the flowers by this lake, will never bear fruit, no matter how beautifully they bloom.
A race without flaws will only stagnate and slowly die, just like your moon.
The Toneri's face paled slightly.
"So I'm sorry," Shinsei slightly raised his chin, "I decline your invitation."
The temple fell silent for a moment. The blue light from the Tenseigan fell between the two, and two opposing figures were reflected on the crystals on the ground.
Toneri slowly closed his eyes, then slowly opened them again.
"I knew you'd say that. Someone like you won't turn back until you're faced with certain death. But we still have to go through the process."
He raised his hand, his palm pressing against the enormous Tenseigan behind him.
"Then, Shinsei Senju, let you and the world you protected end here."
A vibrant green light shone from his palm. The patterns on his Tenseigan suddenly accelerated, and the entire sphere, like a heart suddenly awakening, emitted a deep hum.
A surge of powerful Chakra erupted from the surface of the sphere, sweeping across the entire temple like a tidal wave.
Shinsei pulled Hinata behind him, Little Nine growled as one of its tails grabbed Hinata's arm.
Hinata was immediately enveloped in golden light.
Nine-Tails Chakra Golden Body Mode!
She clenched her fists and stepped out from Shinsei, her pretty face showing a resolute determination to give her all.
Seeing her like this, Shinsei wanted to say something to dissuade her, but the words stuck in his throat.
Be careful.
Xiaobai raised his dragon head high, and white light surged from Shinsei's body, intertwining with the Nine-Tails Chakra to form a shield.
Otsutsuki Toneri's body was completely enveloped in emerald green Chakra, and he floated into the air.
The light of the Tenseigan into his body from all directions, his muscles swelled rapidly in the light, and fine lines appeared on the surface of his skin, like the trajectory of Chakra surging through his meridians.
An aura far surpassing any he had ever unleashed erupted from him, causing the temple's stone pillars to tremble and rubble to fall from the dome.
Shinsei's pupils contracted slightly. Toneri moved.
His speed was so fast that even Shinsei's Mangekyō Sharingan could only catch a fleeting afterimage.
A fist appeared in front of Shinsei. Almost instinctively, Shinsei turned his head, the force of the punch grazing his ear and slamming into the stone wall behind him.
The entire stone wall didn't make a cracking sound; instead, it vaporized directly, swallowed by the emerald green light, forming a bottomless hole. The rocks at the edges still gleamed with a dark red light, as if they had just been melted.
Toneri didn't hold back, turning around and sweeping a whip kick towards Shinsei's side.
Shinsei raised his arms to block, but was kicked sideways, crashing into three stone pillars and sending rock fragments flying everywhere.
He gritted his teeth and landed, causing the crystal floor beneath his feet to explode with a spiderweb-like crack.
The blue Mangekyō spun endlessly in Shinsei's eyes, as he tried to capture every movement of Otsutsuki Toneri.
Even though his Mangekyō was Mangekyō Sharingan, it was still difficult for him to clearly see the figure of Otsutsuki Toneri.
That's incredibly fast!
The previous Otsutsuki Toneri was a completely different person compared to the current one.
Could the power granted by this enormous Tenseigan really be so immense?
This level of power undoubtedly places him firmly at the Six Paths Level.
Whether it's Chakra strength, Chakra quantity, or even body speed, there are no weaknesses.
This was the first time Shinsei had been suppressed to such an extent by his opponent.
Xiaobai's Chakra surged around him, repairing the muscles injured by the impact.
Little Nine's golden Chakra simultaneously poured into Hinata's body, boosting her speed to the limit. Hinata attacked from the side, delivering a punch to Toneri's back.
Toneri didn't turn around, but it was as if he had eyes in the back of his head. His body suddenly rose half a foot, and his punch missed. Hinata's punch landed on the temple floor.
The force of that blow penetrated the ground, and the cracks spread along the floor for more than ten meters before stopping.
"Too slow."
Toneri looked down at them from mid-air. He waved his right hand, and a blade of emerald green Chakra light shot out from his palm, slicing diagonally across the ground.
Where the blade of light passed, the temple floor cracked as if grease had been sliced by a scorching knife, with eerie green Kakkō burning at the edges.
Shinsei hugged Hinata tightly, and the two leaped up at the same time.
The light blade swept past his feet, slicing the area in two. When it landed, the ground had already collapsed, shattering into countless sharp crystals.
Little Nine leaped off Hinata's shoulder, and a massive amount of Chakra erupted from its body.
Its body swelled rapidly, transforming from a small fox into a gigantic golden Giant Beast with nine tails spreading out behind it like nine golden pillars of fire.
It opened its mouth, and a dark purple Tailed Beast Bomb condensed inside, the light of Chakra illuminating the entire temple in a purple hue.
"Don't use the Tailed Beast Bomb!" Shinsei shouted, "This place will collapse!"
Little Nine's Tailed Beast Bomb has already been launched.
The purple light bullet ripped through the air like a miniature sun, hurtling straight toward Toneri.
Toneri raised his hand, and a huge Tenseigan suddenly lit up behind him. A verdant barrier rose from the ground and blocked his way.
The Tailed Beast Bomb slammed into the barrier with a deafening roar, and the shockwave ripped a large chunk of the temple's dome off, sending shattered ore falling like meteors.
The entire temple trembled, and the patterns on the walls flickered wildly, as if they were about to be unable to withstand the power.
As the smoke dissipated, the Toneri remained suspended in mid-air. Several pieces of the barrier in front of him shattered, but quickly reformed.
His expression remained calm; he merely glanced down at the ground.
The temple floor had been blasted into a crater tens of meters in diameter by Little Nine's cannon shot, the bottom of which was unfathomably deep, as if a hole had been punched through the moon.
I told you not to use it.
Shinsei landed next to Little Nine and looked up at Toneri. Little Nine flicked its tail, shrank its size somewhat guiltily, and transformed back into a little fox, jumping onto Shinsei's shoulder.
The Toneri slowly descended. His feet touched the ground again, right at the edge of the large pit.
His gaze swept over Shinsei, Hinata, and Little Nine, finally settling on the Tenseigan in the center of the temple.
"You cannot win," he said, his voice echoing throughout the temple. "This Tenseigan is the power accumulated by the entire Ōtsutsuki Clan over a thousand years."
What you are facing is not a person, but the energy left behind by Hamura, enough to keep a world running.
Your Chakra will run out, but it won't. That's the difference.
Shinsei wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and smiled.
"After saying all this, are you trying to convince yourself that we can't win?"
