Faced with so many enemies surrounding him, Kakashi had no choice but to play another trump card.
He had never used the Flying Thunder God Technique in a real operation since learning it.
"Rin, bear with it a little longer. I'll get you out of here right now."
Kakashi grabbed Rin's arm and was about to form hand seals, but to his surprise, she suddenly broke free.
"I can't go back to Konoha. There's a terrifying creature inside me that could destroy the village."
Hearing this, Kakashi realized what was happening.
A tailed beast. That was a major problem.
As a weapon of war, its destructive power was beyond question.
While the two hesitated, the Mist Ninja had already attacked. They would show no mercy.
Just then, a familiar whisper suddenly sounded beside Kakashi's ear.
Hearing that voice, the corners of Kakashi's mouth lifted slightly beneath his mask.
"Lightning Release: Purple Lightning Blade!"
Drawing the chakra metal sword at his waist, Kakashi chose to face them head-on rather than flee.
At the same time, Obito arrived and witnessed the scene.
Just then, the Three-Tails inside Rin began to rampage. Almost instantly, vast amounts of chakra surged from her body. With a scream, Rin lost consciousness completely, and a gigantic tailed beast took her place.
"What is that?"
Obito stared at the beast before him in shock, unable to imagine that the woman he loved had become such a monster.
"That's a tailed beast, the Three-Tails."
"From the looks of it, it's already taken that girl's life completely. When a tailed beast goes berserk, its jinchūriki is certain to die."
The White Zetsu on Obito's body explained.
"No, how could this happen!"
Just then, Obito noticed that Kakashi had vanished, leaving only the rampaging Three-Tails where he had been.
Seeing the Kirigakure Ninja attack the Three-Tails that Rin had become, Obito immediately sprang into action. But no matter how he called out to her, he could not wake Rin. In his grief, Obito's Sharingan still awakened into the Mangekyō.
"Was this your goal?"
Kakashi stood beside Yuzuru on an ice dragon high in the sky.
"His Sharingan is very valuable."
Yuzuru nodded.
"But isn't this too cruel to him?"
Kakashi could not help asking.
"Cruel? I don't think so. Compared to his selfishness and cruelty, what I've done doesn't amount to even one ten-thousandth of his deeds."
Yuzuru looked at Obito and sneered.
Someone selfish enough to murder Minato and his wife, the people who treated him best-there were plenty of beasts in the Shinobi World, but Obito was undoubtedly the worst of them.
He had been a disgrace to the Uchiha Clan since childhood, despised by practically everyone. Only Minato and his wife had taken special care of him, giving him the affection of a family. Yet even so, he could still kill them without hesitation, and on such a joyous occasion as the birth of their child, no less.
Had Minato not stopped him at the cost of his own life, he and Kushina would probably have been left without any descendants.
All one could say was that however beastly the people of the Shinobi World were, none could outdo Obito.
Not even Itachi could compare. Itachi could still be corrected; his problem was one of ideals, after all. But Obito was the very embodiment of extreme selfishness and utter stupidity. How could someone like that be saved?
Only by dying!
"Kakashi, you have one of Obito's eyes, don't you?"
"Yes."
"Give it to me. I have a use for it."
Without wasting words, Kakashi handed Yuzuru the scroll containing Obito's sealed eye.
Yuzuru took it and put it away, then looked down at Obito on the ground.
"Since I'm already here, I might as well make it a pair."
With that, Yuzuru threw a Flying Thunder God Kunai, and his figure vanished the next instant.
Obito had just finished slaughtering the Mist Ninja, then used his Mangekyō Sharingan to suppress the Three-Tails and return Rin to human form.
But just then, a kunai suddenly plunged between the two, and Yuzuru appeared before Obito the next instant.
"You're... Minazuki Yuzuru?"
Obito's voice was hoarse as he looked at the familiar face before him.
"I really didn't expect you to remember me, dead last."
"Heh, you clearly had the strength to protect Rin, so why did you leave Konoha? Why did you give up being a ninja? If you'd joined the fighting, Rin wouldn't have died!"
"What a rabid dog, biting everyone you see. Obito, to me, you're a rotten fool through and through. You were trash before, and you still are now. Even with that old bastard Madara Uchiha helping you, it doesn't change the fact that you're trash."
Hearing this, Obito Uchiha's and White Zetsu's pupils contracted at the same time.
Madara Uchiha, watching the scene through White Zetsu, was stunned.
"You... how do you know?"
Obito's face was filled with astonishment.
"Not only do I know he's still alive, I also know that he's a pitiful pawn just like you. Except you're a pawn's pawn."
"But it doesn't matter anymore. He won't live much longer anyway. Even with the God Tree sustaining his life, he's already decrepit."
"I'm going to overturn the entire Shinobi World and completely rewrite the rules. Obito Uchiha, I need your power, but I don't need you as a person. Do you understand?"
"What?"
Obito froze for a moment. The next instant, a terrifying chill encased him in ice.
"White Zetsu is an interesting thing, too. I think a certain someone would really like material like you."
Just then, powerful ocular power appeared, and an enormous blue blade slashed toward Yuzuru.
"Can't hold back anymore?"
Just as the enormous blue blade was about to strike Yuzuru, a solid ice wall blocked it. No matter how powerful the blade was, it could not advance an inch.
"If you want to die early, I don't mind granting your wish."
Slender blue eyeshadow appeared at the corners of Yuzuru's eyes as he looked at the black-robed figure in the air.
"Cough, cough. I never expected someone like you to appear in the Shinobi World."
"And I never expected the great Madara Uchiha to be this stupid."
Yuzuru chuckled softly.
"It seems you lack respect for your elders."
"Sorry, but you're no elder of mine. Besides, you can't stop me from taking what I want, unless you want to hasten your death."
Yuzuru sneered.
Then a green glow appeared in his hand. He plunged it straight into Obito's eye socket and gouged out his last Sharingan.
Madara Uchiha immediately activated Susanoo, trying to stop Yuzuru.
The next instant, an ice spike larger than a mountain suddenly appeared in the sky and crashed down on his Susanoo.
Against such solid ice, Susanoo nearly ruined its blade hacking away, yet only managed to chip off a few shards. In the end, it sank to one knee, barely holding on.
"Damn brat, if only I could use my full strength..."
"If you can't, then get lost. Are you trying to get yourself killed here?"
Yuzuru gripped the unconscious Obito by the neck and hurled him straight at Madara Uchiha.
"Take this beast and get lost. I'll spare your life this time, Madara Uchiha. I hope you can have him bring some amusement to the Shinobi World. The next time we meet, I hope your Rinnegan can give me a little surprise. Don't end up like him, with me gouging out your eyes."
With that, Yuzuru snapped his fingers, and the ice spike pinning down Susanoo instantly vanished.
"Junior, you'll pay for this."
"Oh? Then I look forward to it."
With that, Yuzuru shaped his right hand into a gun, and a purple laser instantly shot from his fingertip.
Only a trace of blood remained in the air, while Madara Uchiha's figure vanished completely.
"Trying to come back to life? Heh."
Yuzuru looked at the two Sharingan in the test tube and gently shook it.
"Then it's time for the plan to begin."
