Background / History

Thousand Threads was a senior figure in Old Lindun's Cross Society, initially known as a gang cadre before being identified as its boss. She met Suren at a casino on Green Street, where she trusted his match predictions and turned an initial 10,000 yuan stake into more than 2 million yuan through eight consecutive wins. Despite her gambling habit and casual demeanor, her subordinates defer to her authority and rely on her during conflicts. 33 35

She possesses influence in both Old Lindun's Inner and Outer Cities. When Suren was injured by the backlash of the Black Scythe's curse, she located a doctor within an hour and later arranged a legitimate identity to facilitate his departure from the city. 130

Behind her carefree exterior, Thousand Threads is committed to opposing the Black Tower's control of Old Lindun. She explains to Suren that the city is effectively a prison and that learning this truth once left her in despair; meeting Mr. Mirror gave her a reason to resist. The symbol on the cloaks used by her organization represents the Talent [S-003-Fate Controller], once associated with a special organization in Dawn City. 185 186

After leaving Old Lindun, she became captain of the Dawn Pirates. Many of her crew, including several Giant Race fighters, were gladiatorial slaves she freed from a slave ship; unable to safely return to normal life within the Lu Ying Empire, they chose to follow her. 292

Her family's kimono and kendo traditions appear to have originated in the Mountain Concealed Country. Upon reaching Pirate City, she felt an unexplained sense of belonging and began investigating that heritage. 299

In the Mountain Concealed Country, Thousand Threads assassinated the Rune Old Man, though his sealing Runes left her hands temporarily unable to circulate Dark Spiritual Energy. She later gave Suren the Rune Mage inheritance and the soul of Ghost Sword Yashi, both obtained through her efforts. 311 312

Seeking the highest realm of swordsmanship, she accepted and eventually tamed the Demonic Blade Onimaru Hyakume Sōsei. Her subsequent breakthroughs made her a Sword Saint and enabled her to develop the Thunder Roaring Hell sword intent. 311 322 343

Thousand Threads later chose to enter the Land of the Dead in pursuit of further swordsmanship breakthroughs. She returned two years later as a Sword God, bearing death energy and claiming to have slain a Demigod during her journey. 597 641

Thousand Threads is a swordswoman whose attire combines the style of a street gang boss with inherited Mountain Concealed clothing. She is frequently described in floral kimonos or kendo attire, though she can dress formally when necessary. 52 191 299

  • Her hair is described as green or blue in different appearances; she often ties it into a high ponytail with a red string. 185 294 335
  • She has a large floral tattoo on her arm, recognizable to Cross Society members. 35
  • A Rakshasa tattoo covers her back. 294

Personality

Thousand Threads is fearless, direct, and conspicuously fond of gambling. She is willing to take extravagant risks at the table, but reacts harshly when opponents attempt to cheat her. 33 292

She is casual and teasing with people she trusts, especially Suren, but remains protective of her subordinates and attentive to practical concerns such as medical treatment and safe identities. 33 130 186

Her defining trait is an uncompromising devotion to the sword. She considers death an acceptable price for a blade or path she has chosen, trains continuously, and seeks powerful opponents as opportunities for growth. 311 337 500

Thousand Threads can also become unexpectedly serious when discussing the Black Tower, rebellion, or the suffering of Old Lindun's inhabitants. 185

Thunder Roaring Hell

Thunder Roaring Hell is Thousand Threads' Sword Saint-level sword intent, born from her enlightenment at the shrine of Takemikazuchi-no-Kami and the sword intent within her Demonic Blade. 343

  • Channels purple-black lightning into her body and blade, dramatically increasing her speed and cutting power. 342 343
  • Its condensed sword energy allows Onimaru Hyakume Sōsei to display the full strength of a Hell Path demonic weapon. 343
  • The move Profound Meaning: Dawn of the New World combines the Rakshasa golden body, thunder, and sword intent to shatter the Gate of Yellow Springs. 347

Haki and Domain

Thousand Threads possesses Haki and later comprehends a Domain after advancing to the Sixth Order. 484 532

  • Her Haki can terrify casino patrons and knights without a prolonged fight. 532

  • Her Domain's name and full properties are not specified. 484

Flow Control Sky-Treading

Thousand Threads masters the advanced movement technique Flow Control Sky-Treading, allowing controlled aerial movement through mastery of Qi rather than repeated explosive jumps. 563
