After walking around the Ninja Academy, Uya and Kushina left the school and returned to the streets once again.
As dusk settled, Uya took Kushina's small hand and escorted her to her doorstep.
Kushina's small hands were so soft and boneless that Uya couldn't help but play with them for a couple of moments, which made Kushina pout at Uya.
Just as Uya was about to leave, she saw another girl who looked somewhat like Kushina approaching from a distance.
Kushina's cheeks flushed slightly as she pulled her hand away from Uya's. She then looked at the approaching figure, snorted, and said, "Back so late again! Where have you been Tenten?!"
"None of your business."
Mirei Uzumaki's gaze darted away slightly. After muttering something, she looked at Uya beside her, a hint of admiration in her eyes, and said, "You are... Uya?"
"Hello!"
Kushina nearly exploded at the sight. She immediately stepped in front of Uya, glaring Mirei Uzumaki, and said, "Don't try to get close to her!"
Mirei Uzumaki immediately gave a helpless look and said, "I'm just a little curious about the famous Konoha Shura."
Curiosity is not allowed!
Kushina's tone was extremely resolute.
Seeing the two girls' expressions, Uya couldn't help but chuckle. He reached out and patted Kushina's shoulder, saying, "Alright, you two go in. I'll head back now."
"Okay, remember to come see me tomorrow... no, I'll come find you."
Kushina nodded gently to Uya, then watched Uya leave.
Then, her expression instantly turned somewhat angry. She grabbed Mirei Uzumaki and said, "What have you been hiding all day? I have a feeling you're hiding something from me!"
"No, it's nothing."
Mirei Uzumaki's gaze darted away slightly, then she gave a soft hum and chuckled, "Speaking of which, you'd better protect your man well, or he might be snatched away from you."
"Who dares!"
Kushina snorted and brandished her fist, giving the impression that she would chase anyone who dared to try and take her away from her for thousands of miles.
Back home, Uya tidied up her house, which she hadn't been to in a long time.
The house was covered in dust, but now that Uya was a ninja, he didn't need to bother cleaning it bit by bit.
Although Uya spent most of his time training his lightning-style Chakra, improving his Chakra control also helped with his Uya- style chakra.
" Wind Release: Wind Chant!"
With a simple Wind Release Ninjutsu under Uya's precise control, all the dust in the room was instantly swept away. Of course, some corners still needed to Teuchi, but it was much simpler than before.
After tidying up, Uya didn't rest. Instead, he sat there deep in thought, as if waiting for something.
Sure enough, in no time at all, a masked Anbu Ninja, somehow managed to get in, and suddenly appeared in front of Uya.
However, a hint of respect also appeared in his eyes.
" The Lord Hokage requests your presence."
Even the way they speak has changed. If it were before, they would simply say, "The Lord Hokage requests your presence," or "The Lord Hokage summons you to wait."
But now, honorifics are being used.
"Has it finally arrived?"
Uya murmured to himself, then nodded, stood up, and followed the Anbu Ninja to the Hokage Building.
Arriving at the Hokage Building once again, Uya felt completely different.
This time, Uya even activated his Shockwave Sensing to investigate the entire Hokage Building, and the results surprised Uya.
The entire Hokage Building was enveloped in a Sensory Barrier!
This Sensory Barrier is similar in type to the one that covers the entire Konoha, but because it is much smaller, its detection capabilities are also much stronger.
Infiltrating the Hokage Building is simply impossible!
Moreover, even if they could bypass the Sensory Barrier, under Uya's investigation, there were still many elite ninjas and Anbu Ninja openly monitoring all directions within the Hokage Building.
Furthermore, there were also some hidden ninjas watching every move inside the Hokage Building; these were basically the ninjas who could be summoned by the Third Hokage any time.
In addition, Uya also sensed the location of the Scroll of Seals. The defense there was even tighter, with two teams of sentries, both visible and hidden, specifically responsible for guarding the Scroll of Seals. Moreover, the Scroll of Seals was right next to the room where the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi, was located.
Under these circumstances, it would be impossible to steal the Scroll of Seals silently.
In the original story, Naruto was able to obtain the Scroll of Seals so easily, which undoubtedly suggests there was something fishy going on.
Previously, Uya's strength was not as great as it is now, and he only had a vague understanding of the situation in the Hokage Building. But now, he has investigated everything clearly, and nothing can escape Uya's eyes!
Soon, Uya finally arrived at the Hokage's office.
Hiruzen Sarutobi was the only person in the office; he wasn't sitting in the Hokage's chair, but rather on the sofa in the room.
Upon seeing Uya enter, Uya Hiruzen Sarutobi smiled kindly and waved to him, saying, "Have a seat."
As he spoke, Hiruzen Sarutobi picked up the teapot again and poured a cup of tea for Uya.
Uya watched Hiruzen Sarutobi's actions quietly, and after sitting down, she didn't say a word.
Seeing this, Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke up, "I really have to thank you properly for what happened on the battlefield."
This sentence made Uya's eyes flicker slightly, because this tone was not like that of Konoha Hokage treating Konoha ninja, but rather like that of two Kage from different villages talking.
Uya killed the Third Kazekage. Although this didn't immediately elevate Uya to the rank of Kage, it certainly meant that even the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi, had to show Uya the respect he deserved.
"It's all what I should do. At least, without Konoha, I would have died long ago, wouldn't I?"
Uya spoke softly, then picked up the teacup on the table and took a sip.
Hearing Uya's words and seeing Uya actions, Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyes flickered slightly, and his smile became more natural.
That's true. Without Konoha, Uya might have died in that village long ago, just like the other members of the Kusanagi Clan.
However, the treatment Konoha received afterward, coupled with the advantages and victories that Uya secured for Konoha on the battlefield, were enough to offset these losses.
To put it bluntly, even without Uya, Konoha could still win, but the losses would likely be ten times greater! (To be continued.)
