Naoki Senju captured the Eight-Tails and became the Akatsuki’s target, while Konoha prepared Naruto and Sasuke’s team and sent Naoki to Sunagakure with Temari and Kankuro. The arc ended with Naoki fighting a mass of merged White Zetsu after Deidara’s attack and the deaths of Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura.

• Jiraiya and the toads battled Killer B’s Eight-Tails, but Naoki Senju saved Jiraiya from its Tailed Beast Bomb and fought the Fourth Raikage and Killer B.
• Naoki Senju captured the Fourth Raikage and later sealed the Eight-Tails, prompting Pain to mobilize the Akatsuki against him.
• Kakashi accepted Tsunade’s order to lead Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura’s Genin team, while Naoki ordered Temari, Kankuro, Utatane Koharu, and Mitokado Homura to travel to Sunagakure.
• Naoki entered the Land of Wind with Temari and Kankuro as the Akatsuki sent Deidara and Hidan to intercept them.
• Deidara bombarded Naoki’s party, and Naoki killed Hidan’s shapeshifting sacrifice while Temari and Kankuro escaped toward Sunagakure.
• Naoki blocked Deidara’s final attack, exposed Deidara’s real body hidden in a cave, and killed the unconscious Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura.
• Naoki fought the White Zetsu army, which merged into grotesque forms after Black Zetsu ordered them to delay him until Akatsuki reinforcements arrived.

Naoki Senju fought the Akatsuki, survived Deidara’s explosion, and tried to secure Nagato’s Rinnegan, but Nagato vanished after the destruction of Amegakure. He then took Konan to Sunagakure and used her attack on its elders to bring the village under Konoha’s control.

• Naoki Senju battled Sasori of the Red Sands and the Six Paths of Pain, using his tailed-beast powers and Wood Release as Sasori, Deidara, and Hidan joined the fight.
• Deidara sacrificed himself with his ultimate explosion, destroying five Paths of Pain, while Naoki and the Deva Path survived and continued fighting.
• Naoki pursued Nagato and Konan, but Konan threatened him with three million explosive tags, and Nagato returned to rescue her before the blast sent him tumbling.
• Obito Uchiha tried to take Nagato’s Rinnegan, but Nagato resisted, and a sphere of darkness rose above Amegakure.
• Naoki shielded himself and Konan from the explosions with Isobu’s chakra, then brought her to Sunagakure, where they learned Amegakure had been destroyed by Chibaku Tensei.
• After deciding to replace Sunagakure with Konoha’s Land of Wind branch, Naoki gave Konan thirty thousand Explosive Tags and ordered her to eliminate the village elders.
• Konan attacked the elders, Ebizo fought back with his puppets, and Chiyo joined the battle with the Chikamatsu Ten Puppets.
• Naoki’s giant Wood Release figure captured Konan and stopped Chiyo’s counterattack, while his Wood Clones eliminated the remaining opponents and left Sunagakure’s survivors as a pro-Konoha faction.

Naoki Senju set the great villages on a path to war while gathering power and maneuvering against Obito Uchiha. As the fighting began, the Akatsuki sealed the tailed beasts and Orochimaru offered Obito an army of reincarnated ninja, leaving Naoki poised to confront him over Rin Nohara.

• Naoki Senju installed Temari as Fifth Kazekage, directed Sunagakure to prepare for war, and joined Mei Terumi and Chōjūrō in drawing Kirigakure into the coming conflict.
• Obito Uchiha rebuked Kisame Hoshigaki after the failed Two-Tails capture, then ordered the Akatsuki to focus on Naoki Senju as Kisame set out for the Four-Tails Jinchūriki.
• Naoki Senju seized Pain’s Deva Path and fled with Konan, then persuaded her that the Akatsuki’s Tailed Beast weapon would not bring peace.
• Naoki Senju and Konan subdued Takigakure’s resistance, and Naoki sealed the Seven-Tails and gained the ability to fly while planning to use Obito’s hunt for the remaining beasts as a trap.
• Orochimaru revealed that he knew Obito Uchiha’s identity and offered him reincarnated warriors in exchange for the other Rinnegan, including Rin Nohara, before trapping Black Zetsu when he objected.
• Naoki Senju returned to Konoha as the Fourth Shinobi World War was declared, and Tsunade approved a plan that sent Sunagakure against Iwagakure while Naoki and Jiraiya led forces against other fronts.
• Temari’s forces met Iwagakure in the desert, and Naoki Senju arrived as Ōnoki attacked, and Naoki overwhelmed Ōnoki’s forces while the Akatsuki captured the Five-Tails.
• The Demonic Statue of the Outer Path transformed into the Ten-Tails after sealing the final beast, and Naoki Senju appeared behind Obito Uchiha and mentioned using Rinne Rebirth on Rin Nohara.
