This was one of the joys of deciphering puzzles.
Often, a fleeting spark of inspiration was the key to breaking the deadlock.
Then everything suddenly became clear.
When Ji Xun spoke, Sister Chu Jiu and Nan Jing both froze.
Then delight and intense anticipation appeared on their faces.
Nan Jing asked in confusion, "A key?"
Ji Xun's gaze gradually deepened, and he nodded. "Yes! More precisely, a 'cipher key' for deciphering it."
Looking at the spirit medium, he added, "What you said just now gave me an idea!"
Nan Jing looked utterly bewildered and pointed at herself. "Huh? What did I say just now?"
Ji Xun's attitude had made her doubt herself.
It sounded as though she had found some crucial clue.
Sister Chu Jiu thought back over what Nan Jing had said as well, but after considering it, she clearly still could not make sense of it.
Having found a solution, Ji Xun's eyes gleamed as he explained directly, "The maze and this chamber are one whole! We can't limit our thinking to the murals in this chamber. The maze we walked through earlier was actually the method for deciphering all of this."
After a pause, he continued, "Put simply, the route we took was the cipher key, while the text in this chamber was the codebook. The maze from before was a Rubik's Cube, and this chamber is also a Rubik's Cube! By solving the route through the maze, we had already grasped the means to break the deadlock."
This was one of the simplest methods of concealing information in cryptography.
The difficulty lay right there.
If you did not think in that direction, you could rack your brains and still never figure it out.
At that, Sister Chu Jiu vaguely understood something. Looking at the symbols on
