Background

Nan Jing is the daughter and designated successor of Nan Soshang, the High Priest of the Oran Royal Court. Her family lineage is bound to the Augustus Royal Family through a guardian contract, restricting what she can reveal about royal secrets and the Augustus Imperial Tomb. 133 316

Three months before revealing her identity to Ji Xun, Nan Jing witnessed a mysterious group bring a coffin into the Royal Court. The Plague emerged soon afterward; although she was infected, she did not mutate. Nan Soshang subsequently arranged for Nan Jing and Chu Jiu to escape, without explaining the danger they faced. 133

During her flight, Nan Jing inherited or recovered several crucial family items, including the Book of the High Priest. She used a Curse Art to stabilize Ji Xun after his mental power deviated while studying the High Priest's stored texts. 134

Nan Jing later reunited with Nan Soshang in the Treasury of the Divine Ruins. After Nan Soshang was unable to return from the Underworld, Nan Jing received the cultivation scroll and responsibility of the High Priest lineage, forcing her to mature quickly. 278 522 537 540
