Since the beginning of October, the weather seems to have never been sunny. Every day is gloomy, with rain that comes and goes, sometimes heavy and sometimes light, but just won't stop.
Morris suspended his weekly trips to the Forbidden Forest to dig for dragon bones.
He really didn't want to do this kind of activity on such a sticky, rainy day.
Wouldn't it be better to comfortably study magic in your dorm? Or exploring the Gap World would also be a good option.
At Hogwarts, perhaps due to the weather, a cold suddenly broke out among the students.
Morris found this hard to understand, since wizards are much stronger than ordinary people.
Until he himself started sneezing incessantly.
Fortunately, Potions are a good thing. No matter how bad a cold is, one bottle of Pepperup Potion will cure it immediately.
If it doesn't cure it, then get another bottle.
All the Potions at Hogwarts, including those used in the Hospital Wing, were brewed by Severus Snape, the Potions Class professor.
Sometimes, Snape would also have his students help him make some relatively simple Potions.
For example, this time, the Hospital Wing's supply of Pepperup Potion was running low, and Morris was suddenly pulled into doing manual labor.
Saturday, Potions Classroom.
" Black!" Snape's sharp gaze swept over Morris. "Don't waste my materials, get serious!"
"Oh." Morris put down the half-eaten cookie in his hand, picked up his wand again, and began to stir.
For him now, it's almost impossible to make a mistake when brewing Pepperup Potion.
Inside the classroom, only the bubbling sound of the Potions could be heard for a moment.
At that moment, the two were simultaneously tending to several crucibles, brewing Pepperup Potion in batches.
"Professor, I have a question," Morris said, slicing the ginger root in his hand into thick, thin slices. "Why did you specifically bring me here to brew Potions? There are plenty of people at Hogwarts who can brew this Potions."
Snape glanced at him. "You're not happy about it?"
"No, I'm just curious," Morris said curtly.
"Then suppress your curiosity," Snape said coldly. "Don't question my plans."
Morris sighed inwardly.
This should be considered forced labor.
After a morning, the two finally finished making all the Potions.
After the last bottle of Pepperup Potion was labeled and placed in its special storage box, Morris put down his wand and let out a long sigh of relief.
"Well then, Professor, I'll be going now. Goodbye."
Just as he stood up, preparing to pack his things and leave, he heard an extremely faint whooshing sound in the air.
Morris almost reflexively raised his hand and caught a cold object.
He opened his palm, looked down, and found it was a small key.
It looked familiar, but he couldn't remember where he had seen it before.
"This is...?" Morris looked up at Snape.
"The key to the Potions supplies warehouse," Snape said calmly, "You can choose three sets of materials that interest you as payment for your work."
"At least you're still a human being, "Morris smiled.
He had previously confirmed that Hogwarts ' Potions supplies warehouse contained many rare medicinal herbs that were not sold elsewhere.
"Any material will do?" he asked cautiously.
"Yes, but after you've made your selection, you need to give it to me for confirmation." Snape said this and walked into his office without further explanation.
Half an hour later, Morris walked back to his dormitory carrying a small bag, in a cheerful mood.
Since Snape had said so, he naturally wouldn't hold back.
The Potions ingredients chosen were naturally the rarest and most expensive ones.
Based on outside prices, it would probably cost hundreds of Galleon, and even then, you might not be able to buy it.
This made him marvel at Hogwarts ' immense wealth.
Reach a platform on the stairs.
"Take your time, darling, everyone will get my autograph."
A familiar voice came from inside.
Morris looked up and saw a small group of younger girls gathered there, with Gilderoy Lockhart, dressed in a bright purple robe, sitting in the center.
Lockhart appears to be signing autographs for the girls.
Morris silently walked around the crowd.
He doesn't want any further contact with Lockhart right now.
At a corner of a staircase, Morris bumped into someone.
"Oh!"
The other person was startled and almost dropped the books they were holding, but Morris quickly caught them.
"Excuse me, Hermione." Morris recognized who it was.
It's Hermione Granger.
"It's alright, Morris," Hermione quickly steadied the things in her arms, her gaze instinctively sweeping in the direction he had come from, and asked, "Have you seen Professor Lockhart?"
"I saw it, around the corner, he's signing autographs for a group of girls," Morris replied truthfully.
He then noticed that the covers of all the books the other person was holding featured Lockhart's radiant smile—all of them were Lockhart's works.
"You're not going there for an autograph too, are you?" Morris asked curiously.
"Yes," Hermione replied somewhat awkwardly, "I really would like to get his autograph. His books are very interesting, aren't they?"
"But it's only interesting." Morris sighed. "Haven't you figured out Lockhart yet? He's just... well, let me be blunt, Hermione Lockhart isn't very talented, just a writer who's good at writing stories."
He still had a good impression of Hermione.
Girls at this age are in a period where they are prone to blindly idolizing others.
It would be better to remind her a couple of times, more or less.
After hearing Morris's words, Hermione immediately retorted, "How could you think that if you're not capable?"
"Because I asked him questions about spells, more than once," Morris explained. "None of them were particularly difficult, but he couldn't answer any of them. Professor Flitwick, on the other hand, could answer the same questions easily."
"We can't jump to conclusions like that," Hermione said, pouting in dissatisfaction.
Clearly, she is already a staunch supporter of Lockhart.
"Didn't you see?" she continued, " Lockhart rescued an entire litter of cursed Skeleton Hound from an evil dark wizard and even reversed part of the curse, restoring them to life. Is that a lie?"
"Yes, that's right." Morris nodded slightly. "Those Skeleton Dog were bought from me."
"Ah?"
Hermione froze for a few seconds. "But... but... that's what Professor Lockhart said."
" Lockhart is playing you guys for a fool," Morris continued. "Oh, right, don't confirm this with him, or he might get angry and come after me. Those Skeleton Dog aren't cheap."
Hermione's expression immediately turned one of shock and confusion, and she was at a loss for what to do.
Seeing this, Morris chuckled and said, "That's all, goodbye."
He didn't linger and continued briskly towards the Ravenclaw Common Room.
Lockhart's number of die-hard fans, decrease by one.
