The pipe was very long and had a very steep slope, like sliding down a very long slide.
Incidentally, the undead cat Guantou has been stored in the magic circle.
After landing, Morris looked around and found that he was in a stone passage, neither narrow nor wide, just enough for a few people to pass side by side.
Draco was lying face down not far from him, motionless.
"Stop playing dead." Morris walked over and kicked his shin.
Draco sprang up abruptly, covered in dust and mud, looking utterly disheveled.
" Black! You—" He gritted his teeth, but swallowed the rest of the curse after noticing the wand in Morris's hand.
"I'm relieved to see you're alright." Morris nodded with satisfaction. "I'm glad you agreed to come on this adventure with me. From now on, we're partners."
Partners? Adventure?
Draco was on the verge of tears.
Who wants to go on an adventure with you?
This is coercion! Kidnapping!
"You should be happier, Draco," Morris called out affectionately, "Aren't you excited to have come to Chamber of Secrets in person?"
Knowing he couldn't escape, Draco asked tremblingly, "Is this... really the Chamber of Secrets?"
"Absolutely true, and we're going to see the legendary monster in the Chamber of Secrets later."
Morris waved his wand, casting a Scourgify on himself and Draco respectively, and then used Lumos Charm to illuminate the surrounding environment.
A soft light appeared, dispelling most of the darkness and illuminating Draco's bloodless face.
"A... monster?"
Draco repeated the word, staring intently at Morris, as if trying to confirm whether the other was joking.
"It must be Basilisk," Morris said, as if discussing the weather. "Left behind by Slytherin, it's said to be able to kill with a single glance. Quite an interesting creature, isn't it?"
He looked ahead in the passage. "It's time, Malfoy. Let's go a little deeper."
At the same time, Tom Riddle's Diary slid down the pipe, fell to the ground, and then floated back up.
Draco's legs went weak, and he staggered back a few steps, crashing into the stone wall. He slid to the ground, hugging his knees tightly and burying his face in them.
"No, I want to go back," he said, his voice trembling, clearly on the verge of tears.
Morris smiled softly.
In fact, his purpose in bringing Draco Malfoy down was very simple and straightforward: to intimidate him.
This young Slytherin boy seemed to have been causing him trouble ever since he enrolled—though he had never succeeded.
To prevent similar incidents from happening again, the best way is to completely deter the other party from daring to provoke him.
Judging from the current situation, he has likely achieved his goal.
But that's not enough.
He wanted to leave the other person with some unforgettable memories—that was Morris's own wicked sense of humor; he enjoyed seeing people's fear and dread.
Especially seeing those he despised slowly lose all pretense in fear... ah, that kind of scene always brings him a sense of pleasure.
A wicked little quirk.
Gaa gaa gaa.
Morris looked at Draco and said casually, "You can stay if you want, but if the monster sees you, you'll be dead instantly. If you come with me, you'll at least have a chance to live."
After saying that, he raised his wand and walked deeper into the passage.
As the light faded, shadows loomed from all sides, gradually engulfing Draco.
The sound of dripping water beside him seemed to fall on his heart.
Finally, he couldn't hold back anymore.
"Wait! Wait for me! Black!"
Draco scrambled to his feet and stumbled after him.
Morris heard the noise behind him but didn't stop.
See, fear is always the most effective driving force.
"Stay close," Morris said without turning his head.
The two continued deeper into the passage, which seemed to have no end, and the air grew increasingly damp and cold.
The most frightening thing was that some animal bones, such as rat bones, started appearing on the ground, making a crunching sound when stepped on.
Draco muttered to himself, "I'm Pure-blood... I'm Pure-blood... Monsters won't attack me... Monsters won't attack me..."
Morris, on the other hand, was relaxed and happy, even having the mood to tease the little insects crawling on the wall with his wand, watching them scurry away in panic into the cracks in the stone.
During this time, he discovered that the walls did not seem sturdy; whenever he touched them, small pieces of stone would fall down.
This is normal, though, since this passage has never been maintained.
After turning a corner, the two of them suddenly stopped at the same time.
A huge shadow appeared in front of them.
Morris immediately increased the brightness of the Lumos Charm to dispel the darkness ahead.
What came into view was an enormous, semi-transparent sheet with dark green patterns... a snakeskin?
"Wow!" Morris exclaimed.
" Merlin."
Draco gasped, almost choking on his breath.
Morris walked slowly forward and touched the snake slough—it was cold to the touch and had a strange elasticity.
It was perfectly intact, stretching from head to tail tip, and must have been at least twenty feet long.
"Very fresh," Morris commented. "The thickness is also decent; perhaps it could be made into a sofa."
"Sofa?"
Draco thought he had misheard, or perhaps Black's brain had finally been terrified by this godforsaken place.
Morris ignored him, stroking the surface of the snakeskin with a pleased expression.
He planned to pack up the snake molt and take it with him after he finished his business.
It's such a waste to leave such a good thing here.
"They're gone."
He waved to Draco, who immediately followed.
At this moment, the despair on Draco's face was obvious.
If that Basilisk is really that big, ten of him wouldn't even be enough to fill a tooth gap.
The passage was long and winding. Morris walked steadily, but his pace had slowed considerably, and he would occasionally stop to listen carefully. Although his wand hung at his side, his hand was taut.
If an experienced wizard were here, he would be able to tell that Morris is currently on high alert.
Finally, they reached the end of the passage.
Here is a wall, on which are carved two lifelike snakes, intertwined, with two large green gems embedded in their eyes.
Clearly, to get through here, one must recite some kind of magical incantation.
Morris looked at the notebook that had been floating quietly.
Tom reappeared, hissing.
As the chilling hiss of the snake echoed through the passage, the wall in front of them slowly opened from the middle and slid to both sides.
