While the students at Hogwarts were studying diligently, Morris was busy fiddling with the Basilisk corpse and researching his various gadgets.
On a leisurely afternoon, in the shade by the stone wall in the courtyard, Morris was talking with the Weasley Twins.
"Take a look at this, Fred, and George, I think you'll be interested."
Morris leaned against the wall, showing off a small stone in his hand.
The stone was smaller than an egg, grayish-black in color, with a dull surface covered with winding patterns.
Fred and George approached from either side, curiously examining the area for a long time, but couldn't figure out what it was all about.
"Try it in your hand."
Morris handed the stone to George.
George took it, weighed it in his hand, and then examined it closely.
In the end, he shook his head. "Like an ordinary pebble, I don't see anything special about it. Don't keep me in suspense, Morris."
Morris said, " The Shadow Concealment Stone, that's its name."
Since his success with the Bone Whip Wand, he has been trying to imprint other spell models from the Book of the Mage onto real-world objects.
This small stone is his final achievement.
It was engraved with one of his most proficient spells, Shadow Concealment.
Fred and George both raised their eyebrows simultaneously.
"We can't guess what it does just from its name," Fred said.
"Don't rush," Morris said, turning to George with a smile. "It's very simple. Hold it tightly, and then silently say in your heart—'A profound tribute to Morris Black.'"
George looked at the dusty stone in his hand, then at Morris.
"Is this the incantation to activate this stone?" His expression was very strange.
"Yes," Morris nodded.
Don't ask him why he set up such a spell.
It was purely on a whim, with no other reason.
"Give it a try," Fred urged his brother.
George gripped the stone with a hint of doubt, silently reciting, "A tribute to Morris Black."
The moment he finished reciting, he felt the stone in his palm vibrate slightly.
Then, his vision suddenly went completely black, and he felt a strong sense of pressure all over his body, making it almost impossible for him to breathe.
This feeling wasn't unfamiliar— Morris had cast a similar spell in Three-Headed Dog's room last year.
Meanwhile, outside, Morris watched George disappear into the shadows, quite pleased.
The Shadow Concealment Stone's effect is simple: it allows the person holding the stone to enter the shadows.
"Wow, that's impressive." Fred whistled in the direction George had disappeared.
About ten seconds later, George's hand relaxed slightly.
However, this slight lapse in concentration caused the Shadow Concealment to lose its effectiveness.
George was thrown out of the shadows, staggering and falling to the ground.
"Huff—" He panted, sitting on the ground and looking at Morris, his eyes shining with an astonishing light. "I just entered the shadows, didn't I?"
"That's right." Morris nodded, reaching out to help George up. "How are you feeling?"
George brushed the dust off his robe. "It's a bit cramped, but bearable."
"That's good."
Morris smiled slightly. "If you stay a little longer, you'll get used to it quickly, and you might even be able to move around inside."
Next, Fred also tried out the Shadow Concealment Stone and was equally full of praise for its effects.
Morris took the Shadow Concealment Stone from Fred and tossed it lightly in his hand. "Seriously, do you guys think this stone has a market?"
"The market? You're going to sell it?" George immediately realized.
"Yes," Morris said confidently, "I can mass-produce this stone. Do you think anyone will buy it?"
Fred and George exchanged a glance and simultaneously broke into bright smiles.
"That's fantastic!" Fred exclaimed dramatically. "I believe no student could resist a stone that can conceal themselves, considering that only a small percentage of students know the Disillusionment Charm, and most of them aren't very skilled at it."
George added, "This stone can help many students who want to sneak out of Hogwarts at night but are afraid of getting caught."
Sure enough, the first thing the twins thought of was going for a night stroll.
Morris nodded to himself.
That's what he thought too.
Fred spoke quickly, "How many Galleon are you planning to sell? Perhaps we can introduce you to some customers, um... Chambers in fifth grade would be interested, and Lee Jordan, his Disillusionment Charm hasn't been very effective..."
Morris did not answer immediately.
He turned around, picked up his briefcase from the low flower bed beside him, and opened it in front of the two of them.
Inside the box, ten similar small gray-black stones were neatly arranged, their colors varying in shade.
Clearly, these are all Shadow Concealment Stone.
"You actually did so much?" Fred, somewhat surprised.
"That's not all," Morris explained. "Each Shadow Concealment Stone here has a different effect."
"You were using the basic model. It only allows you to stay in the shadows for a maximum of three minutes, and it can only be used twenty times. After that, it will shatter."
"But this box is different," he pointed to the slightly darker-colored Shadow Concealment Stone in the upper left corner, "This is the advanced version, it stays in place for up to five minutes, and it can be used twice as many times as the basic version."
"In addition to that, I also have an enhanced version, a sustained version, a fast version, a focused version, and an even more advanced version."
Fred and George were somewhat stunned.
"Wait, Morris, why are you making so many different versions?" Fred asked instinctively.
"Aren't the effects pretty much the same?" George was also puzzled.
Morris sighed softly.
It seems the twins still don't understand him enough.
"Of course, it's to make more money." He said matter-of-factly, "I plan to release a new version of the Shadow Concealment Stone every now and then. Just like the Flying Broom, I'll release a new product every year, and customers who are not satisfied with the previous generation will naturally be willing to pay to upgrade."
He understands the sales strategy of squeezing toothpaste.
Fred clapped. "Cool, but how exactly do you plan to do it? How much do you intend to sell the first version for? And when will you release a new version?"
"That's precisely why I've come to discuss this with you." Morris's expression turned serious. "I don't have the time or energy to sell them myself, nor the energy to haggle and deal with all sorts of questions, so I need reliable partners to help me handle these goods."
Fred and George understood immediately.
"A wise choice," Fred grinned. "Asking us for help was the wisest decision you've ever made, Morris."
So, for the next while, Morris and the twins discussed at length the sales strategy for these Shadow Concealment Stone.
