Just as Morris was about to give up for the time being, the scene ahead finally changed.
In the vast desert, a strange object appeared.
It was very small, almost just a dot, standing there all alone.
Morris quickened his pace.
As the distance drew closer, the point gradually became clearer.
It was a wooden sign, looking quite ordinary, like the kind you often see on the roadside.
It was stuck diagonally in the ground, its surface cracked, with several words engraved on it.
Morris stopped in front of the sign and looked down at it.
The handwriting is very clear.
"I've been here before."
It's just a word that doesn't make any sense.
Morris was speechless for a moment.
You should write down who came by!
Why put up a sign like this in a place like this?
Morris crouched down and examined the area carefully for a while, but found nothing unusual.
There wasn't even a trace of magic about it.
Finally, he stood up and sighed.
At least this wooden plaque proves that other people have been in this world, not just him and Grindelwald.
The portal's duration is about to end.
Morris thought for a moment, then used his wand to carve another line of text on the sign. "I've been here before."
If anyone were to see this sign later, they would surely be completely baffled.
After finishing all this, he examined his work.
It's perfect.
The next second, the scene shifted, and he was back in his dormitory.
Morris stood in the center of the room, looking down at the magic circle at his feet.
It's too short.
It still needs further improvement.
He lay down on the bed and yawned.
Then, a ray of sunlight shone on his bewildered face.
Daylight broke.
How long has he been in the Gap World?
Morris rubbed his eyes and sat up.
Now that things have come to this, let's go grab a bite to eat first.
The Great Hall was already quite full.
Morris sat down in his usual spot in Ravenclaw, where the table was already set with food.
He moved a small piece of cake covered in cream to his front.
This was specially prepared by his House-elf.
After all, cake isn't an option for most people's breakfast.
Morris picked up his fork, ready to replenish his sugar levels.
He glanced at Qiu Zhang across the table out of the corner of his eye, noticing her distracted expression, and casually asked, "What's wrong?"
Qiu didn't react, as if she hadn't heard.
Marietta immediately chimed in, lowering her voice, "Tomorrow's the Quidditch Match."
"I see."
Morris nodded.
No wonder he heard a lot of people discussing Quidditch when he came in.
Judging by the time, it's indeed time for the match.
Marietta pointed at Cho Zhang and said, "You don't know yet? Cho is our new Seeker."
"Oh," Morris smiled gently, "Congratulations."
Qiu Zhang snapped out of her reverie, still absent-minded, and said, "Thank you."
"If you ask me, there's absolutely nothing to worry about with Slytherin," Marietta said enthusiastically to Morris. "Their Seeker aren't very good. Instead of worrying about them, we should look to Gryffindor. Rumor has it that Harry Potter got a new broomstick— Firebolt."
" Firebolt?" Morris raised an eyebrow.
He hadn't paid much attention to these kinds of sports equipment, nor was he particularly interested in them.
"Yes," Marietta sighed, "That's the fastest broom in the world right now, a full five hundred Galleon. But the price is quite reasonable, considering it uses Goblin craftsmanship. Wizards just aren't as good at making things Goblin."
"That's really expensive." Morris stroked his chin.
It has to be said that Harry is indeed rich, able to afford such an expensive broom.
If it were him, he would probably use the money to buy various Potions ingredients.
That said, wouldn't building flying brooms be a good way to make money?
Having previously built Ship in a Bottle, he now possesses some expertise in this area. Coupled with his rune skills, he should be able to rival even the craftsmanship of Goblin.
Morris thought about it more and more and felt that the idea was feasible.
He suddenly asked, "Where can I buy Firebolt?"
Marietta paused for a moment, "You want to buy it? I thought you didn't like Quidditch."
"But I don't dislike it either, and I'm quite interested in Firebolt," Morris replied.
He plans to buy a sample to study it.
After all, the best way to make a product is to copy it.
Marietta looked him up and down, her subtle glance revealing her thoughts.
"You probably can't afford that price," she said frankly. "Five hundred Galleon is no small sum."
"But if you really want to buy it, the shops in Diagon Alley have it. The problem is, you might not be able to get it. The Goblin often go on strike, so production is very unstable."
Morris seemed lost in thought.
It's common knowledge that Goblin have bad tempers.
Just look at the Goblin in Gringotts.
"Ah, I have to go."
Cho Chang said to Marietta beside her, "The first period is Potions Class, we can't be late."
"Good luck in the game," Morris said.
After breakfast, Morris skipped the first class and went back to his dorm.
He immediately wrote a letter asking Frick to find a way to buy him a Firebolt.
After the Yanhua left with the letter, Morris lay back down on his bed, ready to catch up on some sleep.
Before closing his eyes, he subconsciously glanced at the Book of the Mage.
To his surprise, the Book of the Mage, which had been silent for a long time, had new contents.
It is a new spell - Magic Power Link.
After reading the introduction, Morris's drowsiness vanished instantly, replaced by excitement.
Simply put, this magic allows him to borrow the magic power within his undead creatures.
A very simple and straightforward description.
Morris immediately got out of bed and pulled the Guantou, which was resting in the corner, over.
The Guantou let out a confused cry, not knowing what had happened.
Morris patted its head. "It might hurt a little, bear with it."
"?"
Morris didn't let go; he kept his hand on the top of the Guantou.
The Guantou naturally wouldn't resist its owner's actions.
"It'll be ready soon."
Morris closed his eyes and began attempting to establish Magic Power Link, following the method described in the Book of the Mage.
It's a very strange feeling.
His Mental Power seemed to transform into a large tentacles, extending from his palm and slowly seeping into the Guantou's body.
Guantou just feel a little dizzy.
About three minutes later, Morris withdrew his hand.
At this moment, he could clearly feel a wisp of his Mental Power connecting to the Guantou.
This is the channel for the transmission of magic.
As long as he is within a certain range, he can draw upon the magic power within the Guantou at any time.
The Guantou just tilted its head, looking at its owner with a completely bewildered expression.
It didn't sense anything unusual at all.
Morris stood up, beaming, and said, "Come on, give it a try, Guantou."
He had completely forgotten about taking a break.
He's very excited right now.
