In the afternoon, Morris arrived on time at the innermost room on the left side of the second-floor corridor to undergo the wand test.
The person who examined the wand was Garrick Ollivander.
"Hornet, Thestral tail hair, you've protected your wand very well, Mr. Black." Ollivander examined it carefully, his tone approving.
"Thank you, Mr. Ollivander."
Morris took his wand from the other person and sat down on the stool against the wall.
Besides him and Ollivander, those present included the principals of the three schools, Crouch, Ludo, and Krum.
For some reason, Harry and Phoebe haven't arrived yet.
Just then, the door opened.
Harry and Phoebe walked in one after the other, followed by Rita Skeeter, and a man with a camera, presumably the photographer.
Rita smiled and looked around the room, her gaze finally settling on Ludo.
She asked in a sweet, cloying voice, "Is it time, Ludo?"
"Of course!" Ludo said enthusiastically, "Once these two Champion have finished their wand tests, we can take photos! Everyone must be eager to see who this year's Champion are."
Morris was not surprised.
It's perfectly normal for media to participate in such an important event as the Triwizard Tournament.
However, the person in charge is Rita Skeeter, which is still a bit of a problem.
This person's specialty is exaggerating and spreading rumors.
Fortunately, Morris had leverage over the other party, so the other party probably wouldn't be so reckless as to use him to create trending news.
He noticed that when Rita looked at him, her eyes darted away for a second.
" Mr. Potter, come here." Mr. Ollivander beckoned to Harry warmly.
Harry stepped forward and handed her his wand, while Phoebe sat down in the empty seat next to Morris.
She frowned slightly, turned to Morris, and asked in a low voice, " Black, did you give that reporter an interview?"
"No," Morris shook his head, "She's clinging to you?"
"Yes, she was quite persistent," Phoebe sighed, seemingly annoyed that she had been led by the other person earlier, "But she was more interested in Harry Potter and only asked me two questions."
"What did they ask you?"
"It's not important," Phoebe smoothed her long hair that fell over her shoulder. "It's just gossip. I won't let it affect me, and I hope you won't either. By the way, I have to remind you, don't answer any of that reporter's questions."
Although it was a well-intentioned reminder, Morris felt that Phoebe's words had a hidden meaning and that her tone was somewhat strange.
What exactly did Rita ask her?
The wand test was completed quickly, without any surprises.
It's worth mentioning that Phoebe's wand core is made from her grandmother's hair, which is Veela hair.
Afterwards, Ludo warmly invited the Champion to take a group photo.
The photo session lasted a full half hour, during which the photographer's camera never stopped moving.
To Morris's surprise, Krum seemed very resistant to the scene, only taking a few pictures before hiding in the back.
"I don't like being in the newspapers," he said gloomily to Morris.
Considering that Krum had been spending most of his time at the library reading during this period, Morris became increasingly certain that Krum had a tendency towards social anxiety, or simply disliked such situations.
After the wands were tested, the Champion could focus on preparing for the match.
One Saturday morning, Ship in a Bottle.
Morris gathered the Explorers: George, Fred, and Kyle.
He also notified Neville, but Nawi did not show up for some reason.
Today's goal is simple: to teach Kyle, the new member, how to Meditation.
After reading the book " The Wizard Meditation Method " that Morris gave him, Kyle exclaimed in surprise, "I've never heard of such magic before!"
"That's perfectly normal," Fred said, holding a mirror in his hand. He looked up proudly and said, "Because it was invented by Morris."
Although he didn't see any obvious changes when he first started practicing, he can now truly feel the benefits of Meditation.
The most noticeable change is that he has become much more adept at casting spells.
"Actually, I learned that from a book." Morris noticed the mirror in Fred's hand, raised an eyebrow slightly, and asked, " Fred, what's that?"
Fred glanced at George and immediately replied, " Two-Way Mirror."
Two-Way Mirror?
Morris remembered it as a very expensive magical item.
Fred and George can actually afford this?
Before he could ask further, Fred added, "It's damaged, and there's only one; the other one that was supposed to be with it is missing."
"We bought it from a thrift store," George added. "The owner didn't realize it was a Two-Way Mirror, so we were lucky and only paid six Sickle."
"It's five Sickle," Fred corrected.
"Can I take a look?" Morris asked.
"Of course." Fred handed over the mirror.
Morris took the mirror and found that its surface was covered with fine cracks, clearly indicating that it was completely broken.
"We're trying to fix it," Fred said earnestly, "But it's so badly damaged that it's difficult. However, we've learned a lot from it and even made something new."
"Something new?" Morris handed the mirror back to Fred and asked curiously, "What is it?"
"You'll see in a while," Fred smiled mysteriously. "Trust me, it'll be a very promising invention."
Morris looked at the two of them and shook his head helplessly.
They're probably messing around with their prank products again.
These two brothers have never forgotten their original aspirations.
George said regretfully, "If only we had a good Two-Way Mirror for reference."
"Perhaps you can lend me my Two-Way Mirror," Kyle suddenly said from the side.
"Really? You have Two-Way Mirror?" George stood up excitedly, almost knocking over the coffee table in front of him.
Kyle nodded. "That's my birthday present from my dad this year; it's in my dorm room."
Morris remembered that Kyle's father was a big businessman, so it was normal for him to be able to get his hands on Two-Way Mirror.
Kyle's generous gesture immediately won the twins' favor.
The two happily showed Kyle their previous inventions, such as various kinds of Skiving Snackboxes.
Morris, on the other hand, quietly began reading his book.
Yanhua appeared in the room at some point, dropped a few copies of the Daily Prophet on the table, and then hurriedly flew away.
Fred was the first to notice, and picked up a copy to open it.
Half a minute later, he patted George on the shoulder, handed him the newspaper, and whispered, "You need to see this, George!"
After George finished reading it, he handed it to Kyle, "You need to take a look at this, Kyle."
After Kyle finished reading, the three of them turned around at the same time and looked at Morris with curiosity.
