In late July, the sun shone brightly.
Diagon Alley.
"These are this month's shipments, Mrs Lawson."
"Thank you for your help, Delacour."
Phoebe sighed wearily as she left the Quality Quidditch Supplies.
Just two weeks ago, she accepted Morris's offer of employment and became an employee of " Phantom Flying Broomstick Company ".
It's called a company, but she's the only employee there.
Even more outrageous, Morris didn't assign her any specific work, leaving her with the words "go and liaise with the owner of the Quality Quidditch Supplies in Diagon Alley, and then find a way to expand into overseas markets" and a box containing hundreds of flying broomsticks, before disappearing without a trace.
He even took a long time to reply to her letters.
How can a boss be so irresponsible?
Fortunately, Mrs Lawson, the owner of the Quality Quidditch Supplies, is a very nice person.
As the exclusive distributor of Phantom Flying Broomstick in the Britain, the other party provided her with a lot of support and even became her friend.
With their help, the Phantom Broomstick are now being sold stably in several nearby countries.
As for anything else, she simply couldn't attend to it.
In fact, her job, though tedious, was not difficult. As the best broom on the market, the Phantom Flying Broomstick was extremely popular; the owners of two stores even almost got into a fight in front of her over the distribution of goods.
In addition, Morris promised her very generous rewards, even somewhat extravagant ones.
This sounds like the perfect job.
But... this isn't the life she wanted!
Thinking of this, Phoebe sighed again.
Should she have accepted Morris's suggestion and instead found a more ordinary job?
"Uh, Phoebe?"
A voice came from the side, and Phoebe turned around to see a red-haired figure.
" Fred?" Phoebe asked in surprise.
Because of Morris, Phoebe knew the Weasley Twins and found them quite amusing.
The red-haired figure chuckled and shook his head. "You've mistaken me for someone else, beautiful lady. I'm George, George Weasley Fred. He's over there."
Just as he finished speaking, Fred walked out of the shop next door, carrying several brightly colored bottles of Potions.
Fred quickly stepped forward and greeted her, "Hello, Phoebe."
He asked eagerly, "We heard you're working for Morris? Is that true?"
Phoebe nodded.
"Then you're one of us," Fred said with a smile. "By the way, Morris will be here in a few minutes."
"How did you know?" Phoebe replied, frowning.
Although Morris said he would be back today, he didn't tell her the specific time or place.
"We have a special way of contacting each other," Fred said mysteriously.
The Mental Power Connection Crystal Ball his body was lying quietly in his shirt pocket.
"You're all here~"
Just then, a familiar voice reached their ears.
It was Morris.
He was wearing his usual gray-black robe, sunglasses, and carrying a suitcase, looking travel-worn.
Phoebe looked at Morris with a hint of resentment and asked, "Where did you go?"
" Somerset," Morris said, removing his sunglasses, his grey eyes squinting slightly in the sunlight, "There's a black market there. I spent a long time there."
Fred and George both widened their eyes.
"The black market?" Fred exclaimed. "You didn't tell us about this."
Morris shrugged.
"At least reply promptly," Phoebe said, her resentment growing stronger. "Also, I've completed all the work you gave me."
"Well done!" Morris gave her a thumbs up.
What job did he assign to Phoebe?
Oh, right, he asked the other party to explore overseas markets.
I almost forgot.
"I also wrote a work report." Phoebe pulled a few sheets of parchment from her bag and handed them to Morris.
"Well done." Morris took it and put it into his suitcase without even looking at it.
We'll talk about it when he wants to see it.
Has the payment arrived at Gringotts yet?
Phoebe took a deep breath and replied, "We arrived yesterday."
"Very good." Morris nodded. "I need to go to Gringotts."
He didn't want to entrust the Galleon to the Goblin for a long time; those little oddities that looked like things weren't trustworthy.
"Then meet at the Leaky Cauldron in five minutes," Fred called out to Morris's retreating figure.
Morris raised his hand and made an "OK" sign.
Five minutes later, at the Leaky Cauldron, the four of them sat down in a private room.
" Morris," Phoebe asked, "What are my tasks going to be?"
"Suit yourself," Morris said.
Whatever... whatever?
Phoebe's lips twitched. What did that mean?
"I'll produce a batch of brooms every month," Morris explained. "Your job is to sell those brooms; the rest is up to you."
Phoebe felt somewhat helpless.
That's just Morris Black's personality!
"By the way, Morris," Fred said, his eyes gleaming with curiosity, "What happened to you in Somerset? What's on the black market? And why did you take so long?"
He fired off several questions in quick succession, clearly showing his great interest in the black market in Somerset.
"It's a long story," Morris said, taking a sip of his Butterbeer, his expression unchanged. "I was planning to go there to buy some things, but by some twist of fate, I ended up following a group of criminals to an ancient wizarding ruin."
"Criminal!?"
"Remains!?"
Fred and George exclaimed in unison.
Phoebe looked worried.
"What's in that ruin?" Fred asked immediately, leaning forward so much that he almost pressed himself against Morris.
"A great many dark creatures," Morris said casually, setting down his Butterbeer. "And hundreds of Inferi. All the criminals died there; I'm the only one who came out alive."
"Hiss~"
Fred and George gasped.
"It's amazing you're still alive," Fred exclaimed. "That sounds like a thrilling adventure."
Morris shrugged.
It wasn't exactly an adventure.
The reason he stayed there for so long was to convert all the Inferi into undead creatures.
This took up a lot of his time.
There were a total of 358 Inferi.
A very fruitful experience.
Phoebe asked, puzzled, "Why would you do something so dangerous?"
She didn't understand.
"Perhaps it's because it's interesting," Morris replied.
"That's right, that's interesting." George nodded in agreement. "Remember to take us on the next adventure."
"No," Morris shook his head in refusal, "I don't want to be scolded by Mrs. Weasley."
"Oh, Morris, don't say that!"
