Inside the Department of Mysteries, Morris and Hardy emerged simultaneously from the flames.
"Remember, don't tell anyone about the library incident, not even Robert," Hardy instructed.
"I understand." Morris nodded.
After all, if you're called Unspeakable, you should keep your mouth shut.
That makes perfect sense.
The Unspeakable has more secrets than he can imagine.
"I have another question, Mr. Hardy," Morris suddenly asked, "Why was I made the Unspeakable? Did you choose me?"
"Of course not," Hardy said. "That was a task the library gave me. One day I was wandering around inside when a note floated into my hand, and on that note was your name. It took me a long time to find you at Hogwarts."
"I see." Morris frowned.
What exactly is the background of this library?
"I think it has something to do with improving my rank in the library... I'm not sure, but it certainly won't do any harm."
Hardy leaned against the wall, straightening his robe. A flower was tucked into the top pocket. "If you're capable, you can write your research in a book and submit it to the library for any research. I suspect this is related to your increased access to the library."
"I will," Morris said.
"Very good, Morris," Hardy patted him on the shoulder with satisfaction, "You can go back into the library if you'd like."
"Aren't you going?" Morris asked.
"I'm off work today," Hardy winked. "Goodbye. A beautiful lady is waiting for me."
After Hardy left, Morris turned around, faced the flame again, and went inside.
As before, when his feet touched the ground again, he had arrived at the library of the Unspeakable.
The oval space was quiet; occasionally someone would pass by the huge bookshelves, but their figures were always blurry.
Morris started walking deeper into the library.
Let him see what interesting things he can find in this library.
Morris wandered around for almost two hours.
Surprisingly, he gained almost nothing.
Although the library has an absurdly large number of books, he can only understand a small fraction of them.
It's not that he's stupid, but most of the books aren't in English.
Some books written in English contain a lot of miscellaneous information, and very little of it is actually useful.
The only thing that interested him was a book about the study of the soul.
The above describes a method for training one's soul—tempering it through extreme pain, torment, or mental shock.
That's a crazy idea.
I wonder who came up with this idea.
In conclusion, given the current situation, most of the books in this place are neither worth reading nor worth discarding.
Morris was slightly disappointed.
Aside from the sheer number of them, there's nothing particularly interesting about them.
Without realizing it, he had reached the end of the library.
There were several long tables here, and a few high-backed chairs next to them. The chairs were empty, and there was nothing on the tables.
Morris casually sat down in one of the chairs when suddenly a note floated down from the sky and landed in front of him.
"Um?
He paused for a moment, then picked up the note.
The paper is very light, very thin, and almost translucent.
"If you want to know more secrets, go and level up here."
That's all there is to the note.
Morris looked up at the sky but saw no one.
Presumably, Hardy received a similar note before.
Is the library giving him a hint?
All right.
Morris got up and stretched.
Perhaps he needs to find a way to increase his level in order to learn more about this library.
Hopefully, I won't let him down.
After leaving the library, Morris planned to go to the Time Chamber to find Robert.
Putting the library matter aside for now, he was more concerned about that Ageless Stone.
Just then, footsteps approached, and Robert strode quickly from the direction of the gate, carrying a roll of parchment in his hand.
After a brief greeting...
"Even though you're just an intern, you have your own private office, room number seven in the hallway," Robert said. "It's all arranged. Would you like to go take a look?"
"No rush," Morris waved his hand, then asked curiously, "Are you alright?"
"What body?" Robert was slightly taken aback. "What are you talking about?"
Morris was immediately puzzled.
Didn't you just say you weren't feeling well?
"Just now?" Robert frowned. "I've been in my office since lunch and haven't seen you at all."
"That's strange," Morris shrugged. "Never mind, let's go to the Time Chamber. I want to see the Ageless Stone."
Robert nodded. "I can't wait. How did you get it working? We need to find a way first."
It clearly had a great passion for studying this stone.
Robert pushed open the door to the Time Chamber, and the two entered one after the other.
The inside was the same as before, except that the door to the storage room where the Ageless Stone was kept was open.
"Was Mr. Hardy here just now?" Robert strode forward, raising an eyebrow. "I remember I locked the door."
Morris suddenly had a bad feeling. "Let's go check it out."
Entering the storage room, a scene of utter chaos greets the eye.
The contents of the glass cabinets and wooden shelves were scattered on the ground, and the wooden crates had been roughly pried open, their lids askew, and their contents ransacked.
Morris asked, "Were we robbed?"
Robert searched through the boxes with a serious expression.
After a series of clanging and banging sounds, he turned around, his expression grim, his face contorted in a grimace. " The Ageless Stone has been stolen."
Morris remained silent for a moment.
Is it really just a coincidence?
etc!
Morris took out his wand and waved it towards the door.
" Stupefy!"
The spell was launched, but just before it reached the door, it suddenly changed direction and struck a glass cabinet in the right corner.
The glass cabinet shattered with a crash, shards scattering all over the floor.
Who is it!?
As soon as Robert finished speaking, the air at the doorway suddenly rippled like water, and a figure slowly emerged.
The Ageless Stone was held in that person's hands, and there was a charred mark on it.
It was this very stone that deflected Morris's spell.
"Ouch~ Be careful! That stone is very fragile!" Robert looked at the Ageless Stone with concern.
"It doesn't matter anymore," Morris said. "Look at his face."
Robert then turned his gaze to the man's face.
He had prominent cheekbones, a thin chin, and a very handsome face.
i"
Isn't that him?
Robert's eyes widened.
