Morris didn't care about any rules in Knockturn Alley.
For him, there was no particular reason to take action.
He thought Frick was somewhat agreeable and wanted to help him out.
It's that simple.
Moreover, this guy named Krenk in front of him is clearly no good, and he even has designs on this harmless child.
He, Morris Black, is petty!
The moment the incantation for the Bone Summoning Spell ended.
Without warning, three bone spurs, each as thick as a forearm, appeared in the air and shot towards Krenk and his two companions.
That's too fast!
The sneer on Krenk's face hadn't even had time to turn into astonishment.
The cold touch was already pressed against his neck.
Immediately afterwards, another sharp, stabbing pain struck.
What... happened?
Krenk dared not make a move. He glanced at his henchman on the left and saw a pale, sharp spike resting steadily near the man's temple, its tip already piercing the skin and oozing a small bead of blood.
The other brother was in a similar situation, with the same bone spur pressing against his temple, only deeper, and blood was dripping down his cheek onto the floor.
The situation is now quite clear.
Three bone spurs, three fatal locations.
The store fell into a deathly silence.
"Don't move," Morris said softly, his tone calm. "I'm not very skilled at controlling this magic yet... Oh no, it's bleeding."
Upon hearing these flippant words, Krenk felt his blood freeze.
He wouldn't dare gamble on whether Morris would slip.
After all, this is Knockturn Alley.
Who exactly is this young child?
A child subdued three adult wizards almost instantly!
I haven't used my wand yet!
This is insane!
Frick stared blankly at this bizarre scene, not daring to breathe.
"What are you all standing there for?" Morris glanced at him and said helplessly, "The atmosphere's already reached this point, come and help me confuse them. Otherwise, I'll have to send them to see Merlin."
"Uh... oh!"
Only then did Frick belatedly pick up his wand and cast a spell on each of the three terrified individuals, causing them to Stupefy.
The three of them lay motionless on the ground without uttering a sound.
Morris leaned against the counter, lost in thought.
Although his bone spikes were very fast, in fact, if Krenk and the other two had concentrated when he used the Bone Summoning Spell, they would have been able to react.
At least they should be able to adopt a defensive stance or dodge, instead of being easily defeated like this.
Ultimately, they underestimated their opponent.
They didn't take the threat of a child seriously at all.
This is also one of Morris's advantages.
After dealing with the three men, Frick looked at Morris and said cautiously, "Thank you for your help, Mr. Black."
If he were to face Krenk and his two companions alone, the outcome would likely not be good.
"Hmm." Morris nodded lightly. "So, why are these three people causing you trouble?... Oh, if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine. I'm not that interested."
Frick sighed. "That's a long story."
Morris wanted to say, "Since it's a long story, let's not go on," but Frick had already started telling the story on his own.
"Just three months ago, I borrowed a sum of Galleon from someone, at a very high interest rate, but I had no choice."
"The agreed repayment date was the end of last month, and I have already paid back every penny, including principal and interest."
"But now, they're asking me to pay an extra two thousand Galleon as a processing fee!"
Frick grew increasingly agitated, and in the end, he practically spat it out through clenched teeth.
Morris roughly understood; this was a typical case of loan sharking combined with extortion.
Frick kicked Krenk on the ground, spat, and cursed angrily, "A few greedy dogs, they'll bite and never let go once they've tasted a little blood! They almost hurt my family last time."
Morris nodded thoughtfully.
In Knockturn Alley, it's probably normal for something like this to happen.
"So what are you going to do next?" Morris asked, looking at the three people on the ground. "Dispose of the bodies?"
Frick was startled upon hearing this.
"Oh, of course not!" he said. "Just cast Memory Charm to remove some necessary memories from their heads. Then neither of us will have any trouble."
"Believe me, no one is better at Memory Charm than me."
"That would be best," Morris said.
The Memory Charm is indeed a convenient magic.
Perhaps he can try to learn it when he has some free time later.
Frick began casting the Memory Charm on the three of them.
He pressed his wand against Krenk's temple and whispered, " Obliviate."
A thread-like white substance flowed from Krenk's temple along the wand and dissipated into the air.
The other two did the same.
After finishing, Frick wiped the sweat from his brow and explained to Morris, "Now I'm going to throw them further away."
With that, he waved his wand, cast Levitation Charm on the three of them, stuffed them whole into a large black bag, and dragged them out the door.
Three minutes later, he returned to the store.
"All done," Frick clapped his hands and said easily, "Completely resolved. Thank you again, Mr. Morris."
Morris shrugged. "If you're going to thank me, then let's get down to business."
Verbal expressions alone are not enough.
Frick paused, then nodded knowingly. "Of course, if it's within my power. What do you need?"
Morris immediately said, "Remember that human skeleton I wanted to buy from you during the summer? Sell me that skeleton."
"Uh..." Frick's expression froze.
"Is that not allowed?" Morris frowned.
Frick's face showed extreme embarrassment. " Mr. Black, to be honest, that skeleton... was stolen."
"Real?"
Morris suspected this was just a pretext for rejection.
"Absolutely true." Frick seemed somewhat regretful. "About two weeks ago, I discovered the warehouse had been burgled, including the skeleton you asked about before. The thieves were very professional; they left no trace."
Morris was somewhat speechless.
Judging from his expression, Frick didn't seem to be lying.
For a moment, neither of them spoke.
Frick maintained his awkward expression.
As a seasoned veteran who's been lurking in the Knockturn Alley for years, the warehouse theft...
How embarrassing! So incredibly embarrassing!
If his acquaintances find out, this incident will become a laughing stock for him for the next few years.
"In that case," Morris stroked his chin, then his eyes suddenly lit up, "I have a collaboration proposal, would you like to hear it?"
"What?" Frick asked curiously.
Morris smiled slightly and turned his gaze to the Skeleton Dog sitting quietly to the side. " Mr. Frick, do you think there's a market for Skeleton Dog like this?"
