He defeated the rank-forty-eight Heavenly Elephant Invincible and won a fortune, leaving powerful factions watching him more closely.
Yang Podi strengthened his team, gained a ten-thousand-year fourth Soul Ring and Tiger Eagle Wings, and began a relationship with Ye Lingling while promising to cure her Martial Soul's defect. After reaching rank fifty and learning of his family's concealed breakthroughs, he entered the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to temper his body with two dangerous immortal herbs.
Yang Podi endured Slaughter City, subdued his killing aura, and strengthened himself and the Breaking Clan while Spirit Hall’s power grew. The stretch ended with him refusing to merge or surrender control of his tournament team despite pressure from Yu Xiaogang and the Upper Three Sects.
Yang Podi built the Heaven Dou Second Team into an undefeated force while drawing the Breaking and Defense Clans away from Tang San and gathering leverage against his rivals. The teams arrived in Spirit City for the finals, where Bibi Dong rejected Yu Xiaogang’s request for the twin martial souls cultivation method.
Yang Podi led the Breaking and Defense Clans toward Mount Aermo, founded Heavenly Pursuit Academy, and strengthened his allies while preparing for Spirit Hall’s opposition. After reaching Soul Saint, he gained two hundred-thousand-year Soul Rings and settled the Blue Silver Grass Clan at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
Yang Podi prepared Yang Tianyue and their companions for the Sea God’s trials, helping them grow stronger through training and battles on Sea God Island. After they defeated the Evil Orcas and Yang Tianyue claimed the Evil Orca King’s hundred-thousand-year Soul Ring and Soul Bone, Bo Saixi introduced their next trial at Raging Wave Despair.
Yang Podi strengthened Heavenly Pursuit Academy while Spirit Hall destroyed the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan and the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. After reaching level 98, he rejected alliances and warned Ye Lingling that the coming conflict could devastate the continent.
Yang Podi defended Heavenly Pursuit Academy’s neutrality, defeated Tang Chen, and began the Asura God’s trials. Meanwhile, Tang San’s group reached Sea God Island and started their trials as the empire and Spirit Hall moved toward war.
Yang Podi secured the Far North’s alliance, helped Yang Tianyue gain a million-year Soul Ring, and negotiated with Spirit Hall over the threats posed by the Ferocious Beasts. He then brought Qian Renxue to Slaughter City to purify its evil, but their victory over the Rakshasa Divine Sense left them trapped by its released evil thoughts.
Yang Podi helped Spirit Hall destroy the Clear Sky Sect and both imperial families while securing treasures and guiding the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect’s survivors into Heavenly Pursuit Academy. He then joined Bibi Dong’s hunt for the Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python, and the two Soul Beasts fought back against the assembled Titled Douluos.
Yang Podi helped Spirit Hall capture the Titan Giant Ape and Sky Azure Bull Python, then traveled to the Sun Moon Continent to obtain the Evil Emperor's sacrifice and Soul Tool resources. He defeated Bo Saixi for his fifth Asura trial and returned to establish a hidden Soul Tool research academy.
Yang Podi secured Heavenly Pursuit Academy and defeated Qian Daoliu, while Tang San grew stronger by devouring Soul Beasts and committed himself to revenge. The arc left Yu Xiaogang, Tai Tan, and Bai He under attack after Yang Podi expelled them and Ning Fengzhi moved to kill two of them.
Yang Podi fought Di Tian, set his own path toward godhood, and forced the Deep Sea Demonic Whale King to provide the Soul Ring he needed to break through rank one hundred. While Yang Podi remained unconscious as he refined his power, Tang San and Di Tian led a beast tide against Spirit City, where Qian Daoliu prepared to face Di Tian.
The Soul Beast Clan’s assault on Spirit City became a struggle between gods, ending with Qian Renxue killing Tang San and Yang Podi forcing a lasting truce. The story then followed Yang Podi’s new world and his companions’ lives there and in the Divine Realm.
