Background / History

Qian Daoliu is the father of the former Pope, Qian Xunji, and the grandfather of Qian Renxue. As Great Enshriner, he spends most of his time cultivating within Spirit Hall's Worship Hall and safeguarding the Angel God's inheritance. 15 70 98

His faith defines his view of duty. Qian regards assisting Qian Renxue through the Nine Trials of the Angel—and ultimately sacrificing himself to open her final trial—as the central purpose of his existence. 26 94 108

Qian Xunji's death and Bibi Dong's hostility toward the Qian Family leave Qian Daoliu focused on preserving both Qian Renxue and Spirit Hall. Ling Feng's Arrival

Qian Daoliu arrives at the Pope's Palace after sensing Ling Feng near Qian Renxue. He confirms that Ling Feng's single visible sword swing contained a thousand overlapping strikes, then prepares to fight when Ling Feng reveals that he has come for Qian Renxue. 4

Once Ling Feng declares himself Qian Renxue's Dao Protector rather than an attacker, Qian Daoliu accepts the arrangement despite remaining wary of Ling Feng's motives and overwhelming strength. He later grants Ling Feng the authority of a Spirit Hall Law Enforcement Elder. 5 10

Conflict with Bibi Dong

After Qian Xunji's death, Qian Daoliu intervenes when Bibi Dong's hatred harms Qian Renxue. He tries to keep the truth of Qian Renxue's origins and the Angel Trial sacrifice from his granddaughter. 23 24 26

Bibi Dong uses Qian Renxue's safety to force Qian Daoliu into accepting her demands, including granting Yu Xiaogang an Honorary Elder token and allowing Bibi Dong to retain papal authority. Qian Renxue's Return

Twelve years after Qian Renxue leaves with Ling Feng, Qian Daoliu eagerly awaits her return from Hidden Sword Peak. He is initially furious that Ling Feng taught her cooking, tea-making, massage, etiquette, and music, believing his granddaughter had been treated like a servant. 70 71

His anger turns to astonishment when Qian Renxue reveals herself as a Spirit Saint with seven soul rings, including a hundred-thousand-year seventh ring. Reclaiming Spirit Hall

Qian Daoliu supports Qian Renxue's decision to strip Hu Liena of the Holy Maiden title and reclaim her position as Spirit Hall's rightful Young Master. He warns her that Bibi Dong's authority and strength have grown enough to contend with the Worship Hall. 77 80

When Bibi Dong openly challenges the Worship Hall, Qian Daoliu summons the Angel Measuring Heaven Sword and Spirit City's Angel divine power. During the ensuing battle, he joins the six great Enshriners in confronting Bibi Dong and uses Angel Judgment against her. 82 87

The Angel God's Ninth Trial

Qian Daoliu informs Ling Feng that his sacrifice is necessary for Qian Renxue to begin the Angel God's Ninth Trial. Ling Feng agrees to care for Qian Renxue and seeks another solution, while Qian Daoliu accepts the fate expected of him. 108

He later reveals Qian Renxue's inherited Angel Spirit Bone, Cloud Illusion, whose disguise can conceal her appearance, physique, Soul Power, and age. 110

Battle Against Rakshasa God Bibi Dong
