"We..., we..."
Looking into those cold, murderous eyes, and feeling the oppressive aura emanating from them like a boulder pressing down on their hearts, Amanda and Amy no longer had any intention of running away. Their thoughts were completely disrupted, and they could no longer utter a complete sentence.
They might be able to escape the clutches of other wizards, but against this wizard, they couldn't think of any other way to resolve the situation except for elimination.
Neither of them could see the wizard's movements clearly. Their consciousness could keep up, but their bodies couldn't at all. It felt as if the person in front of them wasn't First-Level Wizard at all, but a terrifying second- Level Two Wizard!
It was a complete stomp, not even close to being on the same level. There was no way to resist!
Leo raised his staff, his aura deep and undulating, as if he were about to unleash a terrifying attack.
Amanda and Amy have completely given up. To participate in the competition less than a hundred years after just being promoted to the next level, and to persist for more than a year, is already quite remarkable.
The two of them were like lambs to the slaughter awaiting their trial, but the outcome was slow in coming, and they didn't feel the sense of being attacked and eliminated.
Why not eliminate us?
Amanda looked up at Leo, who hesitated to act, and asked in confusion.
Leo did not answer, but instead looked at the two witches in front of him with a strange expression. Their auras were weak, their strength was not great, and they had only been promoted for a short time, but they still had a good ability to protect themselves.
These are two standard baits!!!
"I can spare your lives, but you have to work for me," Leo added, fearing they might misunderstand, "And only in the first round of eliminations."
"Can I ask what's going on?" Amy looked up at Leo, her face full of confusion.
Given their combined strength, they shouldn't be able to help this terrifying wizard.
Looking at the strange gaze in Leo's eyes, and the little thing perched on her shoulder, constantly emitting eerie giggles, they noticed...
Amanda and Amy suddenly realized something and retreated, looking at Leo with wary expressions, as if they were guarding against a lecherous wolf sneaking into a woman's boudoir in the dark.
It was practically screaming out of its throat!
"It's not what you think. I just want you to help me lure out some wizards, preferably large groups."
Leo glared at Yaoyao sideways. It was all because of this restless little one that people misunderstood him. Otherwise, with his handsome appearance, how could he possibly be mistaken for a pervert?
Amanda and Amy instantly relaxed after hearing what Leo meant. So that's what he meant; at least he wasn't after their bodies.
The two women weren't angry at being used as bait by Leo. Instead, they glanced at each other, their eyes darting around in their gaze. No one knew how much they exchanged in that instant.
After a moment Amanda turned to Leo and said, "We can help you, but you have to guarantee that we'll successfully advance to the next round."
"If you don't agree, then eliminate us now."
Leo didn't agree immediately. Instead, he thought about it carefully and replied, "I can't guarantee 100% that you'll advance to the next round. After all, I'm not even sure myself. I can only say that I will do my best."
Amanda and Amy didn't refute Leo's words; instead, they nodded in agreement. Hundreds of millions of wizards were fighting in one world, and only a few thousand could advance to the next round—a success rate of one in ten thousand.
If Leo had agreed without hesitation, Amanda and Amy would have had to reconsider whether this Leo was reliable.
Leo and Yaoyao noticed all their little actions. Leo didn't react, but Yaoyao just laughed.
Leo's claim that he couldn't guarantee his promotion was pure deception.
Even with these two burdens, Leo was over 90% confident that all three of them would advance to the next round simultaneously.
Leo's act of "I'm only slightly better" might fool others, but it's absolutely impossible for him to fool Yaoyao.
So when Yao Yao saw Amanda and Amy nodding seriously after listening to Leo's words, Yaoyao couldn't help but laugh.
They laughed at Leo's feigned weakness to outsmart others, and at the short-sightedness of the two wizards Amanda and Amy.
"We agree. If you've truly tried your best and still haven't secured your advancement to the next round, we won't blame you."
"What do you need us to do?" Amanda asked.
"You don't need to do anything, just walk normally. Don't worry about other wizards attacking you, I'll take care of them."
Leo lightly flicked his Godslaying Staff, a smile playing on his lips, and said to Amanda and Amy, "The more wizards we lure out, the better."
"... All right."
Sensing the lingering killing intent emanating from Leo, Amanda and Amy instinctively swallowed hard and quickly agreed.
This was the first time they had ever heard of a wizard with such a predilection.
Leo took a step and vanished without a trace, as if he had never existed.
But the voice echoing in Amanda and Amy's ears reminded them that Leo was right beside them like a ghost.
"Don't make any suspicious movements. Just do what you normally do now."
Amanda and Amy exchanged a glance, both seeing shock in each other's eyes, because neither of them had found any trace of Leo.
"So we're really going to do this?" Amy asked Amanda quietly after looking around and finding nothing.
"Otherwise what..."
Amanda took out a bottle of medicine and drank it, quickly healing her injuries.
Her mind was racing. It seemed like they were the ones losing out in this deal, but if the wizard was skilled enough, he could help them survive until the very end. Once they got there, they could find a chance to escape and hide, which would give them a good chance of advancing to the next round.
Nobody's a fool. It's perfectly normal for Amanda and Amy to have their own plans, just as it's not surprising that Leo knew they had their own plans. In fact, it's even more normal that they both knew each other's thoughts.
It's just a matter of both sides using each other.
"Let's get out of here quickly. There was a high-energy reaction just now; no wizards will come."
Although they didn't know how much power Leo's attack had, they were certain that the attack power exceeded 3,000 points by sensing the lingering elemental fluctuations in the air.
Such high-energy attack power would make other wizards run as far away as possible, as if it were a disaster. If they wanted to lure out other wizards, they would have no choice but to go far away.
Using his ability to Shadow Walking, Leo followed at a short distance. With Amanda and Amy as bait, Leo no longer needed to go through the trouble of searching for wizards; he could simply wait for other wizards to take the bait.
When Leo is relaxed, he can devote more than 90% of his energy to reading, and only 10% of his energy to being vigilant about unexpected situations outside.
Leo glanced at Yaoyao on his shoulder, immediately receiving a glare from Yaoyao. Yaoyao said, "Don't worry, I'm here. If a wizard appears, I'll let you know first."
Leo was far more interested in the wizarding book in his hand than in fishing, but for Yaoyao, Leo's actions were exactly what she liked best.
Imagine a medium-sized world with hundreds of millions of wizards,
he,
The soulmate of the future strongest wizard
With bait made from two little wizards tied to his hands, he fished out wizards one by one and eliminated them.
Just thinking about it makes me incredibly excited!
Leo really treats me the best; he deliberately finds things to cheer me up so I won't get bored.
Thinking of this, Yaoyao even took the initiative to touch Leo's face, a behavior so unusual that Leo was completely bewildered.
If Leo knew Yaoyao was thinking, he would definitely say that he was overthinking things. His behavior of using weak wizards as bait came from the inspiration he had during his time as Wizard Apprentice in the tournament. Abigail had done the same thing back then.
"Two newly promoted wizards dare to be so ostentatious?"
In the shadows, a Body Refinement Wizard watched Amanda and Amy swagger past with a puzzled expression.
As the knockout stage entered its middle phase, those who were supposed to form teams had already done so, and those who were supposed to remain hidden had also gone into hiding. Only a large wizarding corps of dozens of people dared to flaunt their presence.
But what's going on with these two newly promoted wizards whose mental strength hasn't even reached 100 points?
The Body Refinement Wizard was bewildered. He was fully capable of instantly eliminating Amanda and Amy, but their behavior was just too... astonishing, causing him to retract his hand that was about to strike.
It's best to be careful; a wizard who dares to be a lone wolf possesses a high level of awareness of danger.
A constant reminder in his mind was that if he took action, something bad would happen.
But this simple action of retracting his palm immediately attracted three bolts of lightning, which eliminated this Body Refinement Wizard had advanced at least one level and had been in the process of 500 years, from three different directions.
It wasn't that he lacked awareness of defense, nor that he didn't try to dodge, nor that he didn't want to fight back, but under the three bolts of lightning, all his methods were ineffective, and he didn't even have time to activate his Bloodline Power.
Leo appeared in the shadow of the eliminated wizard's spot, looking at Amanda and Amy, who were ten times bolder than before, with a bit of speechlessness.
At the very beginning, these two were quite cautious. When did they suddenly let go and rush forward without caring about anything?
Judging from their unrestrained and aggressive advance, you could sense their presence even from dozens of kilometers away.
This is no longer a fishing trip; it's turned into someone slamming a big stick into the pond, ruining everything!
Was it eliminating a ten-person squad in a single breath, or taking down fifteen wizards in a free-for-all over two breaths...?
Or perhaps...
Leo couldn't remember; he spent most of his time and energy on wizarding books and didn't pay much attention to external situations.
When encountering a wizard who has been lured out, they are swiftly and decisively eliminated.
Leo wanted to encounter wizards who could put pressure on him, wizards who could test his current strength, not those he could easily defeat and eliminate.
Leo didn't care how many of these weaker individuals were eliminated.
