"Can I bully them?" Yaoyao asked with a mischievous smile.
"As long as you don't kill them or leave them with lifelong, incurable aftereffects, it's up to you. We Body Refinement Wizard aren't as delicate as Elemental Wizard. If they disobey, we'll beat them up. If your fists are big, they'll listen to you." Roderick looked at Yaoyao, grinning with his big teeth. He kind of liked this little guy.
"Hehehe, I like this atmosphere," Yao Yao said with Yaoyao laugh.
Leo didn't care what he taught or whether the apprentices would listen. After settling in, he plunged into the library.
Breaching the contract would require paying 40,000 energy crystals in compensation. Leo was confident that he could produce those energy crystals, and even if something went wrong, it wouldn't be a problem.
It seems that even if the Indestructible Body Stigmata Great Wizard could win or lose, they would all profit greatly from Leo. However, Leo would not suffer a loss regardless of winning or losing.
Knowledge is priceless.
So... how much you can learn now depends on your own abilities!!!
Looking at the rows of neatly arranged wizarding books, the entire library was larger than ten football fields. Leo, like a long-time bachelor, walked into a paradise of wine and women. Surrounded by singing and dancing, he was momentarily lost in a daze.
He'd never seen so many books before; how long would it take him to read them all?!
Following the sequence, start with the first book. Skip over anything you've already learned, and memorize anything you haven't yet. A level two brain is enough for him to remember a lot of knowledge, even if he doesn't understand it, he can force himself to memorize it.
I can understand or organize it when I have time later.
Just as Leo was engrossed in reading, Yaoyao Yao's questioning voice suddenly rang out, " Leo, what did you see in the second crystal ball? Why did you decide to get involved in this mess after you finished reading it?"
Without looking up, Leo kept his gaze fixed on the book in his hands and said, " The Stone of Indestructibility can forge the strongest defense."
"Wow, is that a big deal?" Yaoyao was a little incredulous. Was using the word "strongest" an exaggeration?
"Regardless of how boastful you are, we absolutely must get our hands on the data regarding the properties of the Stone of Indestructibility. You go out and play for now, and come wake me up on the seventh day when it's time for class."
Leo waved away the chattering Yaoyao; he just wanted to focus on his reading now.
Yaoyao glanced at Leo, who was indeed completely absorbed in his book. Once Leo was engrossed in it, there was nothing that could wake him up unless there was something absolutely necessary to do.
Yaoyao flew away.
Not long after, Yaoyao flew back.
" Leo, today is the seventh day. It's time for class. You should go check on your students."
"... student?"
"Seven days already? Time flies!"
Leo's thoughts drifted from the wizarding book in his hands. He had only managed to memorize a thousand books in seven days; there simply wasn't enough time. Had someone secretly stolen his time?
"I'll go check on my students first; hopefully, they won't waste too much of my time."
Leo took five books directly, following the order in which he read them.
Yaoyao understood that Leo had no intention of teaching properly; he just wanted to find another place to study.
The noisy, large classroom could accommodate over a thousand apprentices.
Before Leo even went inside, he saw some of them doing weight training, some arguing and laughing with their classmates, and others comparing their strength.
Body Refinement Wizard seem to be born restless, each one seemingly equipped with motors and possessing boundless energy.
In any case, Leo didn't see the same kind of hard-working spirit that Elemental Wizard Apprentice had. Out of the thousands of students in the classroom, no more than twenty had paper and pens. If this was the first day of class, he didn't know how many of them would be able to stick with it.
"Da da"
Leo lightly tapped the ground with his Godslaying Staff, the crisp sound drawing the attention of all the apprentices in the classroom Leo. The classroom, which had been noisy from the market, instantly fell silent.
Leo, dressed in a gray wizard's robe, holding Godslaying Staff in his right hand and a book he had just taken from the library in his left, with Yaoyao, whose big eyes were wandering around, perched on his shoulder, walked to the center of the podium as if no one else was there.
"I am an external Elemental Wizard hired by the academy, responsible for teaching you some basic elemental knowledge. You are not yet qualified to know my name. The course arrangement is up to me, and whether you can hear it depends on your luck."
"I have only a few rules for my class. First, you can leave anytime if you don't want to listen, but please don't make any noise that might disturb me. Second, whispering is not allowed in my class; if you are caught doing so, you will never be allowed to enter again. Third, I do not offer free answers to your questions; if you want me to help you with your questions, it will cost fifty Wizard Coin each time."
"Alright, is anyone going out before class starts?"
Leo's calm and indifferent gaze swept over the thousands of Wizard Apprentice. Even those who were angry at Leo's arrogant tone and wanted to leave without listening...
But for some reason, under Leo's gaze, their feet wouldn't obey them and couldn't move. No matter how hard they tried, their feet seemed to be rooted to the ground, and they couldn't move an inch.
The engines on their bodies shut down, and they sat obediently on the benches like quails.
"Since no one has left, let's begin the lesson."
Leo placed the book in his hand on the podium, and with a flick of his finger, a large string of runic characters appeared on the blackboard.
"These are the basic runes that make up the elements..."
Regardless of the students' level of understanding or whether they could comprehend what he was teaching, Leo continued his lecture in a monotonous, emotionless manner, like a robot reciting from a textbook.
Leo was originally supposed to teach three classes in a row, but after one and a half classes, to the astonishment of all the apprentices, Leo stopped and said to them, "That's enough. You can study on your own for the rest of the time."
"Anyone who wants to go out, please don't make a sound."
After Leo finished speaking, he sat down in the chair, picked up the wizarding book he hadn't finished reading yet, and continued reading. There was still a class and a half left, enough time to finish reading all five books.
All the apprentices stared blankly at the academy's newly recruited elementalist teacher; they had never seen such a cold and aloof teacher before.
Among their teachers were some violent, some responsible, and some who often took them out to play recklessly, but this aloof teacher truly refreshed their understanding.
This seems to be a teacher who isn't paid by the academy, but rather an enemy of the academy; not responsible for teaching them well, but for teaching them badly.
No one spoke, and no one dared to move, even though the teacher had a terrible temper, made so many demands on them, forbade them to speak or ask questions, and allowed them to leave the classroom without paying attention.
But this teacher had such a powerful aura that even without releasing his own energy, his mere presence was enough to keep thousands of apprentices from moving an inch.
Even though the teacher said they could leave freely, none of the apprentices dared to move, fearing a murderous glare from them.
The teacher never looked them in the eye; she only glanced at them at the beginning of the class and never looked at them again.
But that one glance was enough for them to never forget. Even with their eyes closed and their minds cleared by the unique abilities of Body Refinement Wizard, those cold eyes remained etched in their minds, as if they were watching them all the time.
Yaoyao looked at the apprentices who were itching to leave but dared not, and let out a strange, lewd laugh.
The classroom was so quiet you could hear a pin drop, but now Yaoyao suddenly burst out laughing, causing Leo, who had just settled down to read, to look up at him. This little guy was about to start his antics again.
All the apprentices' eyes were fixed on Yaoyao, filled with curiosity, liking, and surprise. These diverse gazes made Yaoyao puff out her little belly; she loved this feeling of being the center of attention.
Although the apprentices had not yet learned much, they knew that the thing laughing strangely was their new teacher's soulmate, the most important companion in the wizard's life.
Yaoyao glanced at Leo with a strange smile. Leo didn't react at all. Then she looked at the apprentices who were restless but dared not leave, and instantly appeared at the back gate.
He addressed the restless apprentices, saying, "The theory lesson is over. Now I'll teach you the practical lesson. Those who want to attend, come with me."
The apprentices looked at the Little One, Yaoyao Yao Yao, then at the aloof teacher on the platform who seemed oblivious to their presence, unsure whether they should leave.
An apprentice tried to walk towards Yaoyao, only to find that as long as he didn't make a sound, the aloof teacher on the podium really didn't react and instantly jumped out of the door.
Once the first apprentice left the classroom, all the others followed suit.
When Leo looked up, he saw only a handful of apprentices, no more than ten, struggling to record what was written on the blackboard.
Judging from their furrowed brows, which could trap a fly, you can tell that their studies are not easy.
Leo glanced at his blackboard notes. They weren't the most basic knowledge; they were for intermediate-level elemental apprentices, clearly beyond the scope of what they, as Body Refinement Wizard Apprentice, were learning.
But what does that have to do with me?
They're just not smart, it's not that I taught them badly.
Leo glanced at it and then lowered his head again. If knowledge could be acquired so easily, he wouldn't have had to work so hard to get to where he is today.
Leo paid a considerable price for every single book he wrote from the very beginning.
Being experimented on by Gavarci, signing a contract with Samatchi, and working for the Purple Flame Stigmata Wizard —none of those times were easy or effortless.
Acquiring any knowledge requires a hundredfold effort!
Ignore Yaoyao; after all, Roderick said that as long as they weren't killed, it was fine, Yaoyao knew what she was doing.
After three class periods, Leo finished reading all five books, stood up and left without caring about anything else.
