Qin Yu stood to the side and began to speak.
Shen Heng listened quietly.
Having explored only three rooms, I didn't find anything special, or rather, the only thing I found was a few things.
Huge, incredibly huge!
There was even one room where Qin Yu and her group had to fly for nearly an hour to reach the end.
It should be noted that even though their Origin Power was suppressed and they couldn't fly at full speed, they could still fly at 20 to 30 meters per second. Even so, it would still take them nearly an hour to reach the end.
That hall alone must be dozens of kilometers long.
Upon hearing this, Shen Heng couldn't help but raise his head slightly, looking at the colossal walls on both sides, which were at least two or three thousand meters high, and the dome above them.
Then, his gaze fell.
Although it was something he had experienced firsthand, Stone listened as he continued running forward.
Suddenly, a voice came from behind me. I don't know when it happened.
"About three kilometers ahead, around the corner, there's a Calamity Beast, Fifth Tier."
The Stone paused for a moment, and then heard another voice.
" Stone, just keep running forward. Once we get there, just slow down!"
Stone nodded and continued running forward.
Soon, it turned the corner ahead.
As the voice just described, a Calamity Beast is about three kilometers ahead.
No, it wasn't just one.
The other one, however, had already become food and lay on the ground.
"Heh, it's so nice to have Lord Shen Heng around. Otherwise, I usually have to be careful when I come here!"
Thinking this, Stone slowed down and walked along the wall in small, quick steps.
As it was about to surpass the position of the Calamity Beast, it even gave the Calamity Beast a special look.
At the same moment, Shen Heng also glanced at the Calamity Beast.
This appears to be a hybrid Calamity Beast, just as Qin Yu had described before.
Well, you don't need to do much to distinguish it; you can tell just by looking at the foot that's growing outwards from its forehead.
"Although we didn't see it, Sister Liya guesses that these guys Distortion because they ate the flesh of other Calamity Beast under the Distortion rules around them," Qin Yu said in a low voice while concealing the group's presence.
Shen Heng nodded, his gaze still fixed on the Calamity Beast that was gradually disappearing into the distance.
Are there many guys like this?
"Not many, but not few either. If you move around inside this palace, you'll encounter a few every day. Also..." Qin Yu paused, then continued...
"These guys don't seem to be affected by the Origin Prohibition much, and they can unleash a lot of their power. They won't be easy to fight!"
Shen Heng nodded slowly, then his gaze paused for a moment before turning to Qin Yu.
"So what have you been eating these past few days?"
"..."
Qin Yu opened her mouth, but before she could speak, she was interrupted by the Stone below.
"Well, we haven't eaten anything for days! We did kill one, but Lord Qin Yu said it was too dangerous and wouldn't let us eat it!" Stone said, sounding a little aggrieved.
"It's right not to let you eat it. You don't want to end up like that, do you?" Shen Heng said calmly.
"Hmm..." Stone murmured for a while, then remained silent.
Seeing this, Qin Yu paused for a moment and said,
"My original plan was that if you hadn't come out by today, Captain, I would do as you said before: Stone and I would leave on our own and try to find some furry Calamity Beast to use as fuel, and then see if we could cook them and eat them!"
Is it cooked through?... Shen Heng nodded.
"Well, then there's nothing we can do today?" Stone said somewhat wistfully from below.
Shen Heng glanced at it and said,
Don't worry, I have something to eat.
Stone Tou paused, then seemed to remember something, and his expression quickly turned joyful.
Much later.
With a series of burps, Stone curled himself up and fell asleep.
Shen Heng glanced at it, then looked around.
Within that palace, there seemed to be no distinction between day and night; it was always brightly lit, no matter when you looked at it.
They were now in a narrow room that Qin Yu and the others had explored earlier; though called narrow, it was actually at least several kilometers long.
However, compared to what Qin Yu had mentioned before, that it was only a room that required an hour's flight, this was indeed quite cramped.
Then...
Shen Heng shifted his gaze to the rough white stone pillars scattered throughout the room.
Looking at the rooms alone, it's really hard to understand what they're for; it's completely unclear what their purpose is.
Was it randomly generated?... Shen Heng wondered.
Just then, a voice rang out from the side, filled with malicious speculation.
"... Do you think that damn snake sleeps coiled around these stone pillars at night?!"
Shen Heng looked over.
He paused, glanced at the sleeping Stone, then turned to Qin Yu, and said...
"Now we can speak."
Qin Yu looked at the captain but didn't say anything.
The voice in her mind, along with her shifting gaze, also looked at Shen Heng, but then... nothing happened...
Okay, the sound paused for a moment, then immediately rang back up.
"No, you idiot, what did you mean by what you said during the day?!" Night Spirit Liya Nolandir, who had been holding it in for most of the day, asked impatiently.
"That's what I meant," Shen Heng said calmly, the golden hook on his forehead gleaming slightly with his movements. "If that voice wasn't lying, then it should be an opportunity to use the Authority of Distortion."
"Uh, that voice?" Night Spirit Liya asked, puzzled.
"Well, I don't know anything about it either, but before I came out of that Black Stone Valley, there was indeed a voice telling me that I had been given a chance to use the Authority of Distortion." Shen Heng nodded slowly.
"Uh, what did you do?" Night Spirit Liya continued, full of doubt. "Speaking of which, you just went to that temple to ask, right? Why did it take so long?"
Upon hearing this, Qin Yu looked at the captain with the same puzzlement.
"Because..."
Shen Heng began to slowly recount what happened next.
Night Spirit Liya listened silently.
At first it was alright, I could understand it, but later, things like almost complete amnesia, and having to confront that Underground Demon...
Somewhat incomprehensibly, she looked at the human through Xiaoyu's gaze.
"No, you... how dare you?!"
There was no agreement, but Qin Yu also looked at the captain with some disbelief.
They, too, had experienced the Underground Demon.
Even now, thinking back on it, with the protection I had and without ever fully confronting the situation, I still feel a chill of fear.
So the captain dared to run over?
Thinking of this, Qin Yu couldn't help but glance at the captain again.
The captain sometimes seems even more obsessive than I realize?
No, that was probably also the case back then. Too much memory loss prevented him from making decisions as normally as he would have!
"Let's not talk about that anymore. Anyway, I finally got out. When I came out, I heard a voice in my ear saying that I had gained one opportunity to use the Authority of Distortion!" Shen Heng said.
Hearing this, Night Spirit Liya finally regained her attention.
I couldn't believe it at first, but after what the other person just said, it doesn't seem entirely impossible.
After all, everything, including the palace we are in now, probably has the involvement of that Authority.
Moreover, the world they lived in at that time was probably entirely constructed from a Distortion Authority!
She spoke in a low voice,
" Distortion, Authority... Do you know what this means?"
