Ye Lin said, "Isn't there a saying? Stay near vermilion and you turn red; stay near ink and you turn black. After spending so much time with you, I've turned bad too."

Ye Mo: I think you're insulting me, and I even have proof.

Ye Lin tapped the table and looked at Qi Yuheng. "As for my proposal, I hope you'll pass it on to your younger brother, Mr. Qi. After all, if he could talk about withdrawing his investment so easily, then Chase probably isn't all that important to him."

Since it wasn't important to him, Ye Lin would help himself to it.

"Actually," Ye Mo said with a beaming smile, "if you really want to invest, Big Brother, I can help. I have Director Ji's number. I think he'd be delighted to hear that you want to invest in his film."

Ye Mo even had a feeling that as long as Ye Lin asked, Director Ji would definitely accept his investment, especially now that Qi Yuwen had threatened to pull out. Besides, who would complain about having too much investment?

Ye Lin looked at Ye Mo. "In that case, I'll leave the negotiations to you..."

Ye Mo picked up the teapot and poured him some water, asking eagerly, "Then how much are you planning to invest, Big Brother? Give me a number so I can discuss it with the director."

"Well..." Ye Lin drew the word out. Seeing Ye Mo staring straight at him, her eyes blinking expectantly, he chuckled and flicked her forehead. "That depends on how you behave."

She was certain now. Ye Lin really had turned bad.

The meal was fairly pleasant. Afterward, Ye Mo exchanged contact details with Qi Yuheng.

That brief half-hour had left Ye Mo with a fairly good impression of the Qi Family's eldest young master. On closer thought, though, that was hardly surprising. If Qi Yuheng really were incompetent, how could he have held firmly onto his position as the Qi Corporation's general manager with so many illegitimate brothers eyeing it like hungry tigers?

"I'm truly sorry about my younger brother." After the meal, Qi Yuheng apologized to Ye Mo again, his manner appearing extremely sincere. "I'll give him a proper talking-to when I get back and make him come apologize to you, Miss Ye."

Ye Mo said, "There's no need for that. As long as Mr. Qi Yuwen doesn't target my roles again, that'll be enough."

She looked at Qi Yuheng and said meaningfully, "You certainly treat your younger brother well, Mr. Qi. You've already apologized on his behalf several times today."

Qi Yuheng smiled and replied frankly, "As you said, Miss Ye, he's my younger brother. If I don't treat him well, who will?"

Ye Mo smiled and said pointedly, "I just wonder whether your younger brother feels the same way you do, Mr. Qi."

Qi Yuheng found her words somewhat strange, but didn't dwell on them. "Of course he feels the same way. We've been close since we were children."

He spoke with complete sincerity. Clearly, he truly believed it.

Listening to 888's gossip and recalling the unsavory rumors about Qi Yuwen in their circles, Ye Mo could only think how different the two brothers were.

Seeing how completely Qi Yuheng trusted Qi Yuwen, Ye Mo couldn't help looking at him with a touch of pity-he really was a sucker who didn't even know he was being schemed against.

"It seems you don't understand your younger brother at all, Mr. Qi."

"If you have time this Sunday, Mr. Qi, why not visit the thirteenth floor of Building C at Helang Maijing?" Ye Mo said pointedly. "You might find an unexpected surprise there."

Helang Maijing was a well-known residential complex in City B. The people living there were said to be either rich or powerful, and its excellent privacy meant that many celebrities bought homes there.

Qi Yuheng's fiancée lived there. Naturally, Qi Yuheng knew nothing about that, because Qi Yuwen had secretly bought the apartment for her, solely to give the two of them a safe place to carry on their affair.

Sunday was the day they met there for their weekly tryst.

Of course, Qi Yuheng knew none of this. He merely found Ye Mo's words strange. Why was she telling him to go to the thirteenth floor of Building C at Helang Maijing on Sunday?

Ye Mo saw the confusion in his eyes, but offered no further explanation. She merely said, "You'd better believe me, Mr. Qi, or you'll definitely regret it later!"

"Oh, one more thing!" Remembering something, Ye Mo turned back to Qi Yuheng and reminded him, "You absolutely mustn't tell your younger brother what I said, Mr. Qi. If you tell him, you'll miss the show."

Qi Yuheng frowned, his expression utterly bewildered.

After parting with Qi Yuheng outside the restaurant and returning to the car, Ye Lin looked at Ye Mo and asked, "Those things you just said to Qi Yuheng-did you divine something?"

Ye Mo had just feasted on so much gossip about the Qi brothers from 888 that she was stuffed. At Ye Lin's question, the floodgates immediately opened, and she filled him and Shen Yan in on the brothers' secrets, leaving both men stunned.

"Qi Yuwen is such a piece of work!" That was Shen Yan's assessment after hearing it all. "His older brother treats him so well, yet he still schemes against him. Isn't he a textbook white-eyed wolf?"

Ye Lin's assessment was, "Wealth moves people's hearts, all the more so when a company as large as the Qi Family's is involved."

In their circles, siblings coming to blows and scheming against one another over their interests was far from uncommon.

For Qi Yuwen, perhaps it was precisely because he and Qi Yuheng were full brothers that he felt even more resentful-they had the same mother, yet he, Qi Yuwen, could only be the small-time boss of Star Chasing Entertainment, while his older brother, Qi Yuheng, could become the Qi Family's successor and manage its enormous company.

That might well have been how Qi Yuwen saw it.

Ye Lin asked, "Then why did you tell Qi Yuheng to go to Helang Maijing on Sunday?"

Ye Mo hadn't told them that bit of gossip yet, which was why Ye Lin asked.

"Oh, that!" Ye Mo's eyes flickered. Leaning closer to the two men, she lowered her voice. "For that, we have to talk about Qi Yuheng's fiancée..."

She told them how Qi Yuwen had hooked up with his own older brother's fiancée.

According to 888, the pair had been making eyes at each other even before Qi Yuheng became engaged to her. They only actually hooked up after the engagement, and had been seeing each other behind Qi Yuheng's back ever since.

Ye Mo said quietly, "Sunday is when those two meet at Helang Maijing for their affair. As long as Qi Yuheng listens to me and goes there, he's guaranteed to catch them together!"
