Fu Yunqi smiled and continued, "We were rude before, and we're sorry, Sister-in-law. I hope you won't hold our past immaturity against us. Right now, I'm truly grateful that you reminded me about this."

The more Su Wanqiao listened, the more surreal it felt.

Fu Yunqi received a call from Jiang Ruoning.

He hadn't wanted to answer at first, but he was afraid of missing some crucial plot point, so he had no choice but to pick up. He also put himself on full alert, not daring to relax in the slightest for fear of being bewitched by her.

Over the phone, Jiang Ruoning said in a choked voice, "Brother Yunqi, I joined this production because of you. If you're no longer here, what's the point of me staying? I know you're resentful about the change of male lead, but the production team had their reasons too. Ji Xingyue is simply a more suitable age for the male lead. Can't you give way to him, even if it's for my sake?"
