Afterword 1
A plane landed at London's airport. Kayneth calmly disembarked and got into his chauffeured car. The sights of London attracted every tourist to stop and admire them, but Kayneth's attention was entirely focused on the notebook in his hands.
"What's wrong, brother? Are you preparing your acceptance speech? After this incident, you'll be a star in the Clock Tower, won't you?" In the passenger seat, Reines, dressed in a tuxedo, asked with interest.
"Meeting Beelzebub is nothing to be proud of," Kayneth retorted, his pen still writing.
"But those who survive encountering demons of that level are undoubtedly among the elite of humanity, right? Strange, shouldn't you usually be laughing with pride by now?" Reines turned around and knelt on the driver's seat, reaching for Kayneth's notebook and flipping through it.
Kayneth let her take it, leaned his head against the window, and looked at the scenery outside. The view, which he had long been tired of, made him feel particularly comfortable today, and he sincerely felt that it was good to be alive.
"Only an amateur who only knows how to watch the show would think that way. Those Magecraft are probably gloating. I'm just glad I finally came back alive from that damned Fuyuki. I'll never set foot there again in my life."
Kayneth swore, Reines, flipping through the notes, said, "Brother, these records seem to indicate that this Bai Mo cleaned up everything, except for Beelzebub."
Kayneth retrieved the notebook and said, "He also handled Beelzebub. That angel did nothing except nearly drive Waver and some unfortunate priest insane."
"Huh? Are you kidding me?"
"It's genuine, no doubt about it. This record is just for show, after all, we still have to take care of things with the Church. Reines, as Lord, you have to balance the power of all sides, you can't be like me who only thinks about playing all day long."
Reines gave him a disgusted look. "No, and is it really okay to talk about this with a little kid? By the way, do you have a picture of Bai Mo? If not, could you describe him to me?"
"I need to prepare for the next report, I don't have time to argue with you!" Kayneth, having finally earned his sister's displeasure, and continued writing his notes.
After Beelzebub was expelled--
After Berserker lost his mana supply, he disappeared without a trace. The original Greater Grail Magecraft ritual could not be performed due to the severe damage to the spiritual veins. In the end, only Gilgamesh and Artoria remained Servant.
"What an incredible farce! It's truly an eye-opener for me." Gilgamesh's body began to dissipate into specks of light, and he slowly sheathed a somewhat strange dagger in his hand.
"He's just choosing to leave like this?" Artoria was somewhat surprised; she had been worried that Gilgamesh would cause some trouble again.
"Unlike you, I have a lot of things to attend to, so I'll be leaving now."
He glanced at Bai Mo, who was talking to Metatron beside him, like an employee who had finished his work and was now happily leaving on time.
On Bai Mo's side, Metatron nodded slightly to him and said, "Thank you for your help, outsider. It has been confirmed that Gluttony — Beelzebub has been banished to the depths of Hell."
After saying that, Metatron produced a Gilgamesh medal from somewhere. The medal was surrounded by angel wings and had a crown carved in the center. The medal didn't look special at all; if you threw it among the nine-dollar items sold in the market, you could hardly tell the difference.
"In recognition of your achievements, you are hereby awarded the Metatron Award."
"You should keep this for yourself..." Bai Mo said honestly that he didn't really want to accept the gift, but Metatron stepped forward, pressing him aggressively.
"This is a favor. You drove Beelzebub away with your own wisdom and strength, and it was necessary." After saying that, Metatron made a move to put the thing on Bai Mo's body. Bai Mo reached out and put it in his pocket. If he were to go out with this thing, it would be the death of him.
"This won't have any strange effects, it's just an ordinary medal, right?" Bai Mo still felt a strong resistance to the divine gift.
"This medal represents the approval of Mahadeva Metatron. It will add points to your soul's evaluation when you go to Heaven after death. Although your soul probably won't go to Heaven after you die, if you start believing in our Lord now, you will still have a chance in two hundred years," Metatron explained like a customer service representative.
"Why does this feel like a promotion exam... Oh well, as long as there are no side effects, it's fine."
"I'll just dig a hole and bury this thing later, "Bai Mo thought to himself.
"Alright, I've completed my mission here." As she finished speaking, a beam of light shot down from the sky, illuminating Metatron, and her figure seemed to gradually merge with the beam of light.
Kirei Kotomine, "Wait, Mahadeva, please enlighten me. Why can't I feel any emotions in this world? And why did I come into this world in this form?"
Kirei Kotomine lacked the emotions of a normal person from birth. He went here regardless of everything in order to seek answers from the Lord he prayed to, originally hoping to find answers from Beelzebub.
Even though he had fallen, Beelzebub was still Mahadeva who possessed wisdom. Even if he were killed by him, it wouldn't matter as long as he could get the answer. But Metatron's appearance made him give up that idea.
Since there are true Mahadeva, there is no need to seek answers from the demon.
Faced with this lost lamb, surely Metatron, being an angel, will be able to enlighten him.
The light remained unchanged. Metatron looked at Kirei Kotomine who had come to him and said, "My purpose this time was to expel Beelzebub, which has now been accomplished by Bai Mo. Answering your questions was not part of my duties on this trip."
"Wait, can't my fervent prayers even get this one answer? If you can't answer, please tell the Lord about my confusion. No matter how long I have to wait, I'm willing to wait as long as you can give me even the slightest revelation."
Kirei Kotomine knelt down on one knee. Faced with this devout believer, even the most hard-hearted person would be shaken by such faith.
"No, I've already said it. My duty is to expel Beelzebub; I won't do anything else."
Kirei Kotomine, "Can you really bear to watch this lost sheep continue to sink into the mire? You don't even want to utter a single word about it? Mahadeva, the Lord would never be so heartless!"
Then, under the watchful eyes of everyone, Metatron addressed the kneeling Kirei, saying, "My will is the will of the Lord, and I will not do anything outside of order."
A thunderclap seemed to resound in everyone's hearts. Even Bai Mo was truly shocked. Although no one believed in Christianity, they were well aware of what such words meant. In ancient times, such words would have been considered heresy and burned at the stake.
If even non- Christ felt this way, Kirei Kotomine felt a wave of dizziness wash over him, his blood rushing to his head. Crack! He felt as if something inside him had shattered into pieces.
What did she just say? Kirei Kotomine preferred to believe that Beelzebub was still alive, and that it was all just an illusion created by the devil.
The light faded, Metatron vanished, leaving behind only a desperate believer.
"Haha, hehehahaha!" Kirei Kotomine laughed, unable to control his laughter, like a mental patient.
An adult's breakdown can happen in an instant.
"What the hell are you doing! You idiot! Ah--" Kirei Kotomine pounded the Daichi, but nothing was produced except for the splattered dirt. His wails echoed through the sky, as if he wanted someone far away to hear them.
In order to avoid being labeled a heretic by the Church, Kayneth decided to revise the information about Metatron.
Wait a minute, wouldn't concealing this behavior make him seem even more like a heretic? Thinking this, he felt a headache coming on.
