Prayer
Caren grasped Bai Mo's hand in return, and despite her petite stature, she spoke with the air of a little adult, "Don't treat me like a child."
"But that's you."
Caren discovered that this person was particularly good at killing conversations. Despite his outstanding appearance and powerful strength, he had absolutely no luck with women and was now entangled with Fran, this troublesome guy.
"But don't forget, I have the authority to monitor you. When you're exhausted from being tormented by that demon and kneeling on the ground begging Lady Caren to save you, I'll definitely laugh at you mercilessly."
"If it really comes to that, then I deserve it."
As they reached the roadside, a taxi pulled up in front of Bai Mo. They could easily fly back now, but to change someone's worldview, one must start with the most basic things in life. Therefore, Bai Mo chose to act in a way that was as human as possible with Caren.
Sitting in the front, Fran swaggered in through the back door as another door opened. Caren shifted back, her eyes filled with disgust.
"What? If you dislike me, you can switch places with Bai Mo. I'd be more than happy to do so."
In response to Fran's teasing, Caren snorted and said, "Don't even think about it. It's my responsibility to monitor Mr. Bai Mo, and dealing with disgusting things like you is a mission given to me by God."
Fran took off her shoes, crossed her legs, clad in white stockings, and put them on the front seat, saying, "Well, I'd be happy to accept that. After all, the more you do this, the more interested I am in tormenting you."
Soon, the car arrived at its destination. Bai Mo went to the hotel where he had been staying. Now that Fran was causing trouble, Bai Mo decided to reduce his offline contact with Kiritsugu, but still maintain communication with him online.
Not far away, rows of yellow cordon tape were set up, and there were many flowers and folded paper flowers on the ground. This was the site of the Black Mud eruption at the Hyatt Hotel. The night had passed, and some people were still here with flowers.
These people are all relatives of the victims. They may have just come here for tourism or to have a long-awaited family dinner when they were caught up in this incident and lost their lives. Among them are parents and children, and now even their remains cannot be found.
A woman covered her face and wept, putting down the white flowers in her hand. Just then, a figure suddenly appeared behind her.
Fran moved closer to the woman, looked at the black and white photograph on the ground, and said, "Don't be so sad. Everyone dies eventually; it's just that you were unlucky enough to die. Maybe it's a good thing for you."
Seeing the woman's questioning gaze, Francesca smiled sweetly and said, "After all, you see, being in a relationship with such an unlucky person is bound to lead to a terrible future. Isn't it better to get rid of him now? Just like investing, being able to withdraw your investment immediately when risks arise is already a great stroke of luck, isn't it?"
"What are you talking about, you bastard!" The woman was already emotionally unstable, and Fran's attack made her even more out of control. Even if the police took her away, she was determined to tear that mouth apart.
Behind her, Bai Mo grabbed Fran's head and slammed it heavily to the ground. The sudden scene left the woman somewhat bewildered. Bai Mo looked up and said in a low voice, "This woman is mentally unstable. Don't take a madman's words to heart. With such an outstanding lover like you, that man must be very happy."
Ignoring the woman behind him who was weeping uncontrollably, Bai Mo threw Fran into the alley, grabbed her head, and said, "What use are you besides disgusting people? You bastard."
Fran laughed, her face now restored, the blood stains giving her a poignant, broken charm. She said, "Well, what can I do? That's just who I am. If you can't even bear to see this, then I have some advice for you."
She took Bai Mo's hand and placed it on her neck.
"If you don't want me to do something even more annoying to you, please hold onto my collar tightly, Mr. Bai Mo."
With a snap, her swan-like neck was crushed by Bai Mo.
"Although I'd also like to see this woman killed, I don't recommend that you do it, Bai Mo," Caren explained as she entered the alley and looked at the murder scene.
"Generally speaking, people fall into Hell because they have committed crimes, and killing is the most direct crime. Mr. Bai Mo, your power is very strong, and you have been carefully controlling it. However, if you keep killing this woman in various ways, who knows, one day you might casually kill those who don't deserve to die. People who use drugs usually start by smoking regular tobacco."
Bai Mo burned Francesca's body to ashes, his expression returning to its previous calm.
"So I'll leave it to you to keep an eye on things, Miss Caren."
Caren was somewhat surprised, turned her head away, and said in a much softer voice, "Of course, after all, Mr. Bai Mo is easily corrupted. Just rely on Lady Caren without worry. When you fall into the abyss, Lady Caren will be your only ray of light."
Ignoring the girl's wishful thinking, Bai Mo had already walked out of the alley. Caren's initial goodwill towards him vanished instantly at this act of neglect.
"Are you just trying to brush me off?"
"I don't think so."
"I'm getting angry. I'm the one responsible for monitoring you, but I don't feel respected at all."
"Then you should try to experience it in a different way."
After a short while, Caren stood up from the concrete road. After praying for the dead, she felt a little better.
"This is some kind of atonement, isn't it? It's much better than what you did, isn't it?" Bai Mo helped her up, brushing the dust off her. Caren turned her head and said, "Any nun or priest could do this. God gave me this body so that I could accomplish what only I can."
"Then you've most likely been scammed, and scammed pretty badly."
Caren knew she couldn't win an argument with Bai Mo, so she could only sulk to the side. It was getting late, so Bai Mo led Caren into a Chinese restaurant. As soon as they opened the door, the aroma and fragrance wafted out. Fran was sitting inside, smiling at him. But besides him, there was someone else who surprised Bai Mo.
"Father Kotomine, what brings you here?"
Kirei Kotomine remained silent, simply eating the mapo tofu in front of him, which was almost as red as his internal organs, while sweating profusely. He looked up and saw Caren next to Bai Mo.
Then he continued eating with his head down.
"You two know each other?" Bai Mo asked, while Caren gave Kirei Kotomine a look of utter contempt, staring at him with disdain.
"No, I don't know him. How could I possibly know this imposter dressed as a clergyman? He's so ugly it makes me want to vomit."
"As a nun, you can't lie, Caren."
Kirei Kotomine finished the last bite of Mapo Tofu, wiped his sweat, and said to Caren.
"Mr. Bai Mo went to seek help from the Church, didn't he? How irresponsible of him to let a girl like that take charge. This isn't helping at all, it's just making things worse."
Caren wanted nothing more than to smash the newly served Mapo Tofu in her face. Bai Mo sat down opposite her and explained, "Caren's actions were my own and have nothing to do with the Church. I even showed the Church that thing Metatron gave me, but if it can't be dealt with, it can't be dealt with."
Upon hearing the name Metatron, Kirei Kotomine burst into a very abrupt laugh.
"Haha, Bai Mo, you're so funny. There's no angel named Metatron among them."
"I didn't say she was an angel, did I...?"
Kirei Kotomine's expression instantly turned ashen. He said, "Excuse me, waiter, please pack this up. I apologize, Mr. Bai Mo, but I feel that if we continue this conversation, I might recall some things I don't want to remember. I'll take my leave now. As for that nun over there, since she's taken on a responsibility, let her do her best, even if it ends in a tragic way."
Then, he left as if fleeing.
"Has that imposter priest finally lost his mind?"
"She became like this after meeting Metatron." Bai Mo handed the menu to Caren, who glanced at the plate of Mapo Tofu she had just eaten while looking at the menu, which she didn't understand at all.
"I see. Lord Metatron is truly remarkable, worthy of being a great Mahadeva... Why are you looking at me like that?"
Faced with Bai Mo's strange gaze, Caren nervously covered her face with the menu.
"If you truly believe Metatron is a great Mahadeva... then you are no longer fit to be Christ."
Caren:?
Hearing these eerie words, doubts almost welled up inside me. It seemed that Metatron wasn't some kind of angel, but some kind of unspeakable ancient god.
