Ch. 221Reunion

Bai Mo destroyed the stone tablet and rescued Ereshkigal, while Tezcatlipoca arrived to help investigate the threat behind it. The Underworld began expanding after the enemy took half of Ereshkigal’s authority, and her attempt to stop it ended with her being struck down.

  • Ishtar attacked the stone tablet, but its gale drove her back before Bai Mo shattered it with a Sea Tiger Exploding Fist.
  • Tezcatlipoca appeared, and Bai Mo recognized him as a former Grand Servant who had come after the Counter Force sent him to investigate.
  • Tezcatlipoca asked whether the enemy had taken anything from Ereshkigal, and she revealed it had taken forty percent of her authority.
  • Ereshkigal admitted she had already traded another ten percent of her authority, leaving her and the enemy with half each as the Underworld expanded toward the surface.
  • Ereshkigal used her spear to halt the expansion temporarily, but the enemy’s power blasted her into Bai Mo’s arms.

Ch. 222Outside the Rules

As the Underworld threatened to swallow the living world, Bai Mo accepted a portion of its authority and formed a Servant contract with Ereshkigal. He used the connection to locate their hidden opponent and launched himself out of the Underworld, leaving Ereshkigal free to regain control.

  • Ereshkigal struggled to hold back the rising Underworld while Bai Mo asked Tezcatlipoca for a way to help.
  • Tezcatlipoca gave Bai Mo a symbol granting him a fraction of Underworld authority, and Gilgamesh prepared a contract with Ereshkigal.
  • Bai Mo joined hands with Ereshkigal, but she continued to strain against the immense force pulling the Underworld upward.
  • Tezcatlipoca and Gilgamesh explained to Ishtar that Bai Mo was not meant to win the contest directly but to find their opponent.
  • Bai Mo sensed the opponent, shouted that he had found them, and shot out of the Underworld; Ereshkigal then regained control.

Ch. 223Evading Disaster

Bai Mo investigated a hidden chamber and discovered that Bai Tiangao, a member of the Bai Family, had been working with Enlil to create soil capable of nurturing Demon Gods. After Bai Tiangao escaped, Bai Mo identified him through the chamber’s records and found a map marking several locations, including Eridu.

  • Bai Tiangao fled his mountain hideout to a blank world after sensing Bai Mo approaching.
  • Enlil accused Bai Tiangao of failing to bring the Underworld under their control and warned that the world’s Greater Source was running dry.
  • Bai Tiangao suspected Bai Mo was a powerful descendant of the Bai Family and vowed to make him experience their bloodline’s infighting.
  • Bai Mo entered the chamber, examined its records, and learned Bai Tiangao had used divine authorities to create Demon God-nurturing soil.
  • Bai Wunan recognized the handwriting as belonging to his fourth uncle, Bai Tiangao.
  • Bai Mo found a map of Uruk’s cities with marked locations and focused on the abandoned city of Eridu.

Ch. 224Disciples

Bai Mo and the gods assessed their losses after their opponent seized half of the Underworld’s authority, while Tezcatlipoca warned them of further danger and departed. The black jade he left behind revealed that Dark Leiao had been distributing lessons in Magnetic Field Power worldwide, leaving Bai Wunan to tease Sha Antian about gaining many junior brothers.

  • Ereshkigal explained that their opponent had taken fifty percent of the Underworld’s authority and her authority over viruses, while Tezcatlipoca’s contribution kept the Underworld secure for now.
  • Bai Mo reassured Ereshkigal that he could return to defend the Underworld through their Heroic Spirit contract.
  • Tezcatlipoca said the Grand Assassin might not come and hinted that Bai Mo might have to make a sacrifice, then gave him black jade before departing.
  • Bai Mo activated the jade and saw a recording in which Dark Leiao offered to teach Magnetic Field Power and invited anyone who reached its highest realm to seek him out.
  • Tezcatlipoca revealed that Dark Leiao’s recordings were spreading around the world and driving Alaya Consciousness and the others nearly mad.
  • Bai Wunan laughed that Sha Antian, already a disciple of Dark Leiao, would soon have many junior brothers.

Ch. 225Assault

Bai Mo and Ishtar returned to Uruk, where Arcueid had managed the city in their absence. Bai Mo then learned that Oda Nobunaga had taken Kawakami and her followers toward Eridu, the group’s chosen target.

  • Bai Mo and Ishtar returned from the Underworld to Uruk, where Arcueid was handling government affairs in Gilgamesh’s absence.
  • Arcueid welcomed Bai Mo and said she had kept Uruk running smoothly while he was gone.
  • Ishtar punished a minister who praised Arcueid’s beauty and wished to see her face.
  • Arcueid told Bai Mo that she had released Oda Nobunaga, who had set out for Eridu with her trusted followers.
  • Oda Nobunaga’s group camped on the road to Eridu, and Kawakami reported that there were no nearby signs of demonic beasts.

Ch. 226New life

Bai Mo prepared to leave Uruk for Eridu after Crimson Moon stopped Ishtar from demanding a humiliating contract ritual. After Bai Mo departed, the powerless Kingu secretly entered Uruk and resolved to gather intelligence for Mother.

  • Bai Mo told Ishtar to guard Uruk while he pursued the enemy and arranged to return if she contacted him.
  • Ishtar revealed she wanted the Kingship, but Bai Mo produced gems and explained that sufficient power could create any substance.
  • Ishtar offered to guard Uruk in exchange for a contract, then tried to make Bai Mo kiss her foot; Crimson Moon stopped her with a chain and wrecked the room.
  • Bai Mo told Gilgamesh he would arrange Uruk's defenses and travel to Eridu, then left at sunrise.
  • Kingu sneaked into Uruk, rejected a citizen's offered bread before falling, and then ate it while resolving to gather intelligence for Mother.

Ch. 227Traveling companions

Bai Mo and Arcueid reached the fog-shrouded outskirts of Eridu, where they reunited with Sajyou Manaka and Lady Avalon. After learning that the jungle goddess lacked Magnetic Field Power, Bai Mo agreed to let Manaka guide them through the fog the next day.

  • Bai Mo and Arcueid flew from Uruk toward Eridu and found Sajyou Manaka and Lady Avalon waiting by a fire outside the jungle.
  • Manaka tried to embrace Bai Mo, while Lady Avalon revealed that she had told Oda Nobunaga to challenge the jungle goddess.
  • Lady Avalon explained that the jungle goddess had not obtained Magnetic Field Power, which meant Enlil had not acquired her authority.
  • Manaka described the thick fog that had cut off the rainforest cities and offered to guide Bai Mo and Arcueid through it.
  • Bai Mo decided to preserve the fog because it might be protecting Eridu's people and asked Manaka to lead them the next day.
  • Bai Mo and Arcueid took watch while he sent Manaka and Lady Avalon to sleep in the tent together.

Ch. 228Environment

Bai Mo reassured Arcueid about her new life in Uruk, then firmly rejected her offer to accept him loving someone else and told her not to let anyone hurt her. A distant magical explosion interrupted them, and Bai Mo rushed toward the fight with Arcueid and the others following.

  • Arcueid told Bai Mo that she was happy in Uruk, and he admitted he had worried about whether she was adjusting to the new environment.
  • Arcueid said she would not mind if Bai Mo liked Manaka, prompting Manaka to insist that she would never accept a third person between a prince and princess.
  • Bai Mo scolded Arcueid for treating her own happiness as more important than protecting herself and told her that no one, including him, should be allowed to hurt her.
  • A powerful magical explosion sounded from the forest, and Bai Mo put out the campfire and hurried toward the fighting.
  • Crimson Moon promised to help Arcueid grow stronger, and Arcueid followed Bai Mo while Crimson Moon privately claimed that what belonged to Arcueid belonged to her too.

Ch. 229Jaguar Man

Bai Mo arrived in the forest and interrupted Jaguar Man’s battle with Kawakami and Anna, prompting Jaguar Man to recognize Tezcatlipoca’s mark and switch sides. The group set out for Eridu, with Kawakami and Anna joining them, while Anna reacted fearfully to Arcueid.

  • Kawakami and Anna fought Jaguar Man while Oda Nobunaga slipped away toward Eridu.
  • Bai Mo arrived, stopped Kawakami’s sword and sent Jaguar Man’s club rebounding into her face.
  • Jaguar Man recognized Tezcatlipoca’s authority, revealed she was a Pseudo-Servant, and offered to guide the group to Eridu.
  • Bai Mo, Manaka, Mery, and Arcueid headed toward Eridu with Kawakami and Anna joining them.
  • Anna silently followed Bai Mo and recoiled when Arcueid was identified as a True Ancestor.

Ch. 230Quetzalcoatl

Bai Mo and his companions reached Eridu, where Quetzalcoatl challenged him to prove humanity had a future. The chapter ended as Bai Mo prepared to fight her, while Oda Nobunaga remained bound at the city gate.

  • Bai Mo's group spotted Eridu and found Oda Nobunaga hanging from the city gate after Quetzalcoatl defeated her.
  • Jaguar Man laughed at Nobunaga, but Quetzalcoatl descended from the pyramid and struck Jaguar Man with her stone sword.
  • Quetzalcoatl recognized Bai Mo through Tezcatlipoca's mark and explained that she guarded Eridu despite her original mission to destroy humanity.
  • Bai Mo argued that he and Quetzalcoatl had no reason to fight, but she insisted that humanity in the current era had no future.
  • Quetzalcoatl challenged Bai Mo to defeat her and show her a future in which humanity could continue.

Ch. 231Life

Bai Mo fought Quetzal without using Magnetic Field Power and learned to rely on life’s basic instincts against her savage attacks. Quetzal declared the contest over and let the group enter Eridu.

  • Bai Mo withdrew his power and challenged Quetzal, trusting her to honor a fair fight.
  • Arcueid restrained herself from taking advantage of Bai Mo’s vulnerability while Manaka glared back at her.
  • Bai Mo used martial arts to counter Quetzal’s attacks, impressing Kawakami with his technique.
  • Quetzal shifted to savage, unpredictable attacks, and Bai Mo closed his eyes and allowed her healing blows to teach him to respond through instinct.
  • Bai Mo thanked Quetzal for the lesson, and she admitted defeat and invited everyone into Eridu.
  • Oda Nobunaga celebrated winning a vacation, then called for help getting down from the city wall.

Ch. 232The storm draws near

After the battle, Bai Mo reached Eridu with Arcueid and Manaka, where Quetzal explained why she had rejected Enlil’s offer. Enlil then attacked the city with a colossal storm and the World-Destroying Demon God, leaving Bai Mo to face the monster while Arcueid protected Eridu.

  • Arcueid clung to Bai Mo after the battle, while Manaka brought him a towel and Bai Mo thanked her for her concern.
  • Bai Mo decided he would ask Gilgamesh to send Manaka back to Chaldea before the coming battles.
  • Quetzal explained that Eridu had been protected from demonic beasts by mysterious rain and mist, and that she had rejected Enlil’s suspicious offer of power.
  • Bai Mo sensed a huge storm approaching, and the group saw Enlil’s colossal Demon God advancing through the forest toward Eridu.
  • The Demon God fired a destructive power cannon, but Bai Mo blocked it before it could harm the city.
  • Bai Mo ordered Arcueid to protect Eridu and confronted the Demon God with the Mad Giant Shark.

Ch. 233World-Destroying Demon God

Bai Mo fought the World-Destroying Demon God that threatened Eridu, uncovering its unusual control and regeneration while dismantling its massive body with powerful techniques. After surviving its attempt to swallow and crush him, he charged toward its brain as the Demon God seemed unable to defend itself.

  • The World-Destroying Demon God attacked Eridu, and Bai Mo intercepted its blasts before cutting off its wings with Splitting the Sky.
  • Bai Mo learned that Ereshkigal could not move the creature into the Underworld, while the Demon God regenerated and spoke in a voice that did not sound like Bai Lubao.
  • The Demon God trapped Bai Mo in a cage of Electric Claws and punched at him, but Mad Giant Shark pierced its fist and Hell Samsara Sword spread through its arms.
  • Bai Mo tore through the Demon God's chest with God-Severing Thunderbolt, but it swallowed him and tried to crush him between its fists.
  • Bai Mo held the Demon God's fists apart, destroyed its re-formed arms with Zen-shaking Samsara, and charged at its brain with Peerless Demon Blade.

Ch. 234Goddess of Demonic Beasts

Bai Mo confronted Gorgon inside the World-Destroying Demon God after surviving her petrification and curse attacks. He left Gorgon gravely wounded, while the Demon God remained in danger of exploding if she was killed.

  • The World-Destroying Demon God revealed its Mystic Eyes of Petrification, but Bai Mo remained unaffected, and Arcueid stopped Anna from rushing to help him.
  • Bai Mo revealed that Gorgon was inside the World-Destroying Demon God and found her with Mad Giant Shark at her neck.
  • Bai Mo wounded Gorgon but kept her alive to prevent her from detonating the World-Destroying Demon God and harming Eridu.
  • Gorgon unleashed Blood Fort Andromeda: Pandemonium, but Bai Mo absorbed the curse and struck her abdomen, shattering her scales and tearing her flesh.

Ch. 235Once

Bai Mo subdued Gorgon without killing her, but Mery found that her damaged Spirit Origin would keep her alive for at most half a month. As Bai Mo and Arcueid prepared to deal with the toxic remains of the World-Destroying Demon God, Enlil arrived and offered to cleanse them through the cycle of water.

  • Bai Mo used Gorgon's own petrification power to stop her from self-destructing, and she collapsed after her vitality was drained.
  • Bai Mo asked Mery to assess Gorgon, and Mery concluded that Gorgon could survive for no more than half a month.
  • Bai Mo relayed Gorgon's prognosis to Gilgamesh through Ereshkigal so Uruk could prepare.
  • Bai Mo and Arcueid went to the fallen World-Destroying Demon God, whose remaining toxins threatened to contaminate the world.
  • Enlil appeared in the rain and offered to cleanse the Demon God's remains.

Ch. 236Water God

Bai Mo learned that Enlil was targeting Enki and that Enlil had been influenced by a soul from beyond the world. After Enki left Eridu to protect its people, Bai Mo returned with Arcueid and found Manaka waiting for him.

  • Bai Mo confronted Enki about Enlil’s plans, and Enki explained that the White Giant’s victory had made the Age of Gods’ end inevitable before an otherworldly soul changed Enlil’s mind.
  • Enki warned Bai Mo that Enlil had been blinded by that soul and promised to help when Mother awakened, then left Eridu so its people would not be caught in the conflict.
  • Bai Mo told Arcueid that he would train her during the remaining half month and took her to their prepared room in Eridu.
  • Manaka welcomed Bai Mo and Arcueid with dinner, and Bai Mo learned that Manaka possessed a connection to the Root.
  • Bai Mo recognized that Manaka’s fixation on him stemmed from her lonely past, while a ghostlike voice urged him to use his feelings for Shiki to subtract his feelings for other women.

Ch. 237Medusa

After refusing Manaka’s invitation, Bai Mo prepared a cultivation method for Arcueid and reassured Anna that she did not need to sacrifice herself to prolong Gorgon’s life. Mery showed Anna a vision of Bai Mo fighting alongside Greek heroes, and Anna realized his connection to the hero Bai Ermo.

  • Bai Mo sent Arcueid and Manaka away, then wrote down a modified version of Ryougi Lataib for Arcueid to cultivate.
  • Anna told Bai Mo that she was Medusa and could merge her Spirit Origin with Gorgon’s to extend Gorgon’s survival.
  • Bai Mo refused Anna’s offer, told her to enjoy the remaining fifteen days, and urged her to keep the plan from Gilgamesh.
  • Mery took Anna to a vision of the battle in Mifune City, where Anna saw Bai Mo fighting beside Heracles and recognized his resemblance to Bai Ermo.
  • Mery explained that Bai Mo had fought to save people from the gods’ schemes, and Anna smiled before fleeing in embarrassment.

Ch. 238Watching

Manaka and Arcueid each tried to get Bai Mo alone, but their plans collided when they both found his room empty. They eventually watched from opposite sides of the pyramid as Bai Mo spoke with Mery.

  • Manaka prepared a late-night snack for Bai Mo and found her room sealed by Arcueid’s Magnetic Field Power.
  • Arcueid hid in Bai Mo’s bed, planning to pretend she had fallen asleep while waiting for him.
  • Manaka used a hidden magic circle to enter the kitchen and approached Bai Mo’s bed with a candle.
  • Arcueid grabbed Manaka by the neck, but both women left after realizing Bai Mo was not there.
  • Manaka and Arcueid watched Bai Mo and Mery talking beside Gorgon after Anna had left.

Ch. 239Constraints

Bai Mo gave Arcueid the unfinished cultivation art "Ryougi Lataib," and Crimson Moon forced her to study it instead of sleeping. Reading its opening revealed a method for breaking through the magnetic field realm without relying on the world's environment, astonishing Crimson Moon.

  • Mery ended her conversation, and Bai Mo vanished while Arcueid watched from nearby.
  • Bai Mo found Arcueid, let her drink his blood, and later wrote out the cultivation steps for "Ryougi Lataib."
  • Bai Mo sent Arcueid back to her room with the book, and she fell asleep without reading it.
  • Crimson Moon struck Arcueid awake and scolded her for neglecting cultivation.
  • Arcueid began reading "Ryougi Lataib," and Crimson Moon recognized its method for escaping the world's environmental limits as extraordinary.

Ch. 240An evil art

Arcueid and Crimson Moon discovered that Ryougi Lataib demanded an almost complete realm and involved perilous life-and-death trials, so they decided not to attempt it without Bai Mo’s guidance. The next morning, Bai Mo trained Arcueid in Whale-Style Martial Arts until Mery arrived with an urgent summons from King Gilgamesh.

  • Arcueid and Crimson Moon read Ryougi Lataib and found its requirements and methods dangerously extreme.
  • Arcueid and Crimson Moon agreed to practice Orca Tyrant Fist instead and leave Ryougi Lataib alone unless Bai Mo taught it to them.
  • Bai Mo awoke beside Arcueid, brushed off her teasing, and began guiding her training in the open space.
  • Arcueid told Bai Mo she intended to practice Ryougi Lataib eventually and asked him to watch over her.
  • Mery arrived and reported that King Gilgamesh had summoned them back to Uruk because of serious trouble.
