Ye Mo finally pressed down with his finger.
The upload button clicked softly, like flipping a switch. The control room screens instantly switched, and data streamed out like a waterfall, automatically synchronizing to twelve independent media servers worldwide. Tony stood beside him, his armored glove lightly tapping the wrist interface. "Main channel stable, backup broadcast activated, decentralized signal distribution complete."
"They can't stop them now, even if they want to." Ye Mo stood up and pushed his glasses up his nose. "Let's go, it's time to make our appearance."
The two walked down the corridor, their footsteps echoing on the metal floor. The doors to the press conference hall opened automatically, the lights came on, and a holographic projection slowly rose. On the enormous screen, the Hydra emblem was wrapped around a DNA chain, and the title appeared: This is not science fiction, this is an ongoing war.
The audience was packed with reporters, and flashbulbs were already going off. Ye Mo walked to the left side of the stage, and Tony strode forward and spoke directly.
"This isn't speculation, it's a record." His voice boomed through the loudspeaker, "Not a conspiracy theory, it's a ledger. Not a future crisis, it's crimes that happened yesterday."
The scene shifts, and a clear image of Obadiah shaking hands with the masked man is played, with their smiles frozen and magnified.
Some people in the audience were whispering to each other, but no one interrupted.
Tony stepped back and looked at Ye Mo. Ye Mo took the microphone, his voice steady. "We've obtained a complete chain of evidence. The first piece of evidence: the flow of funds."
A dynamic image unfolds on the large screen, with a red line extending from the Stark Industries account, passing through three shell companies, and finally depositing into an underground laboratory number. The amount is accurate to two decimal places, and the transfer time is clearly marked.
"Secondly, the transportation route." The screen switches to a 3D map, showing several red paths winding through the underground of New York, ending 300 meters below the ventilation shaft of the storage room in Area B. "All experimental equipment and sample containers enter and exit via this route."
A reporter raised his hand. "How can you prove this isn't a forgery?"
Ye Mo didn't answer, but simply pressed a button on the remote control. The video started playing.
The scene is a dimly lit room. Several Mutants are strapped to chairs, wires attached to their heads, their eyes lifeless. The camera zooms in, and one of them slightly moves his lips, seemingly speaking. The next second, a voice recording begins:
" Mr. X's sample priority is S. Start the capture procedure immediately."
The entire room fell silent.
Tony took a step forward, his tone turning serious. "They've got their eyes on my friend. They want to copy his abilities and use them on other killing machines. That won't do."
"Not just Mutants," Ye Mo added. "The experimental log mentions 'adaptability testing extended to the general population.' The next target could be anyone."
The large screen finally focused on the face of the woman with her eyes open. She stared at the camera, her eyes filled with fear and a will to survive.
A female reporter in the audience suddenly stood up to take pictures, and others followed suit, with flashes going off one after another, like a wildfire spreading.
Social media exploded with the news. The hashtag # Super Soldier Program # topped the trending charts, garnering over a million reposts within ten minutes. Multiple mainstream media outlets rushed to broadcast special reports, all with headlines proclaiming, " Hydra is not dead; it is creating weapons for humans."
Tony glanced at the real-time public opinion panel and smirked. "It's going viral."
Ye Mo remained standing in his spot, his gaze sweeping across the scene. He knew that at this moment, the truth could no longer be concealed.
Tony picked up the microphone again. "We're not accusing anyone. We're just presenting the facts. The rest is up to you to judge."
Applause suddenly erupted, growing from sporadic to enthusiastic, covering the entire hall.
Ye Mo extended his hand, and Tony immediately reacted, raising his hand to give a high five. The movements were crisp and clean, as if a tactical maneuver had been completed.
At that very moment, a notification sounded in my mind:
[Revelation successful, Gene Spiral Tower unlocked to level 31]
A warm current surged up, and his new ability, " Truth Resonance," rippled gently, as if it could sense the trajectory of information spreading from the outside world. He didn't look closely, but just narrowed his eyes slightly.
Tony smiled at the main camera and said, "Now, the world is safer."
Reporters in the audience jotted down the words, some whispering, "Now, the world is safer..."
Suddenly, a male reporter in the back row stood up and asked loudly, "Do you have any evidence that Emma Frost Thaddeus Ross was involved?"
Ye Mo's eyes narrowed.
Just as Tony was about to speak, Ye Mo took the microphone.
I will not answer that question.
"But she used to belong to the Hellfire Club— " the reporter pressed.
"I already said," Ye Mo stared at him, "I won't answer that question."
The atmosphere instantly tensed. The reporter opened his mouth, but then remained silent.
Tony gently nudged Ye Mo's arm, and the two turned to leave in unison. The audience was still noisy, but their mission was accomplished.
Ye Mo stopped in his tracks just as the backstage corridor door was about to close.
He glanced back at the big screen. The live stream was still on, and the video was replaying the voice command.
" Mr. X's sample priority is S level..."
The sound played on repeat, over and over again.
Ye Mo raised his hand and gently took off his glasses.
A frost appeared on the edge of the lens.
