The red dots on the large screen exploded, and the alarm shattered the silence of the control room. Ye Mo's hand was still on the access control panel when the metal door opened a crack, and hot air blew in from the end of the corridor.
"The signal is off the charts." Tony stared at the projector. "The gamma index has tripled, and the temperature curve is Rocket."
Emma Frost stood in front of the data console, her fingertips swiping across the screen to bring up a real-time waveform graph of the South America region. "It's not the equipment starting up; it's the body releasing energy spontaneously. He can't suppress it anymore."
Ye Mo withdrew his hand and turned to walk towards the central control panel. " JARVIS, synchronize satellite view; I need to see the shadow of every single tree in the rainforest."
"Connected." A mechanical voice sounded, and the holographic projection on the ceiling switched to an aerial view of the South America jungle, with several charred marks hidden among the green canopy, like clearings burned by high temperatures.
As Tony put on his armor components, he said, "I don't want him to become the Hulk before he talks about his life goals. If we go now, we can still stop him before he goes berserk."
"No." Ye Mo didn't even look up. "This isn't a rescue mission for you alone. We're allies; the operation must proceed according to plan."
"You really think you're the captain?" Tony fastened his arm guards, his tone laced with laughter, but his eyes were serious.
"I'm not trying to command anyone." Ye Mo zoomed in on the map, marking three landing zones. "I'm just worried that halfway there, the Hulk might punch your thrusters and knock them off course."
Tony snorted, "Then tell me, what do you mean by 'according to plan'?"
"First step, determine the route." Ye Mo tapped the screen. "Take off from New York, resupply via the outer islands of Panama, avoiding civilian air routes and military radar. Second step, devise an evacuation plan. Route A involves high-altitude gliding, Route B uses underground tunnels, Route C... is reserved for when Hulk goes berserk."
Emma Frost interjected, "I can deploy a swarm of drones in advance to clear obstacles in the landing zone. S.H.I.E.L.D.. also has two stealth reconnaissance aircraft over there; I can hack into them."
"Okay." Ye Mo nodded. "You'll be in charge of rear support, keeping the mental communication channels open. If you detect any abnormal fluctuations in Banner's consciousness, notify us immediately."
"Wait a minute." Tony raised his hand. "One of you is on the long range and the other is staying behind, so who's going to control the pace? I can't be fighting while looking at the dashboard, can I?"
"I'm here." Ye Mo patted his chest. "The system just notified me that the tracking mission has started; there's new activity at the Gene Spiral Tower."
As soon as I finished speaking, a familiar notification sound rang in my mind:
[Tracking Bruce Banner Mission Activated]
[Countdown to unlocking the 33rd floor of the Gene Spiral Tower: 30 minutes]
"Another upgrade?" Tony squinted. "Every time your system beeps, I feel like my wallet is going to lose a dollar."
"This time is different." Ye Mo closed his eyes, feeling the vibrations of the Spiral Tower within his body. "It connects to 'us,' not 'me.' The ability might be related to teamwork."
Emma Frost suddenly frowned. "I sense a disturbance... coming from deep within South America. It's not like a normal signal, more like... an emotional turbulence."
" Banner?" Tony asked.
"Unsure." She shook her head. "It's too chaotic, a mix of anger, fear, and self-blame. Forcing a connection would backfire."
Ye Mo opened his eyes. "Then let's try a short connection first. Three minutes, three minutes at most. Switch to the low-frequency band, and I'll add a layer of Danger Sense and warning for you."
"You want to share your abilities with me?" Emma Frost looked at him.
"Otherwise what?" Ye Mo smiled. "Didn't we just form an alliance? Resource sharing is the first rule."
Emma Frost didn't speak again. She closed her eyes and gently placed her fingers on her temples. Her breathing became steady, and she entered a state of near stillness.
The control room fell silent, with only the ticking of the instruments.
Ten seconds later, her eyelashes trembled.
Ye Mo immediately noticed. "How is it?"
"I went in," she said softly. "I saw an abandoned bunker with scratches on the walls. Banner was sitting in the corner, holding his head, repeating the same phrase over and over—'Don't come near me... I'll hurt someone.'"
Tony muttered under his breath, "Is he still conscious?"
"He's conscious, but he won't last long." Emma Frost's brow furrowed deeper. "I can feel his sanity snapping, like a rope stretched to its limit."
Suddenly, her body jerked violently.
Ye Mo grabbed her wrist. "Cut it off! Now!"
Emma Frost opened her eyes, her face pale, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. "There was a shock... it almost pulled me in. There were two consciousnesses fighting inside him, one was Banner, and the other... it was pure destructiveness."
" Hulk is coming out." Tony straightened up. "If we delay any longer, the entire rainforest will be doomed."
"So we have to find him before he completely loses control." Ye Mo brought up the aircraft's status panel. " JARVIS, check the ' Ghost's ' fuel and shields, prepare for takeoff."
"The energy module is experiencing slight fluctuations," the AI responded. "We recommend docking at an island off the coast of Panama for inspection and repairs."
"I knew you'd say that." Tony stretched his shoulders. "Fine, refueling along the way is no problem. But I'm warning you, don't let my armor break down on the road."
"Your armor is even harder to work with than you are," Ye Mo said, picking up a black hooded sweatshirt hanging on the back of the chair and putting it on. "It cries for ages every time it upgrades."
"That's called debugging!" Tony glared. "What do you know about high-tech emotions?"
Emma Frost had already reached the communications station, her fingers rapidly tapping on the keyboard. "I've already sent instructions to the drones stationed on the outer islands; they will clear the helipads in advance and deploy reconnaissance aircraft. Additionally, I've implanted an emergency disconnection protocol into your mental communication channels, so if the situation gets out of control, I can forcibly bring you back."
"Sounds like a parent buckling a child in." Tony put on his helmet. "But... thank you."
Ye Mo glanced at him. "You actually thanked me? Is there a bug in the system?"
"Enough talk." Tony pushed open the control room door. "Let's get going. I don't want to turn into charcoal in the rainforest."
The three walked out of the room side by side, the corridor lights shining all the way. The night breeze blew into the passageway, carrying the vibrations of a distant engine warming up.
On the tarmac, the " Ghost " hovered silently, its fuselage painted matte black without any markings. Tony's armor completed its final self-check, and the chest light turned from yellow to green.
"All systems are functioning normally," JARVIS announced.
Ye Mo glanced back at the large screen in the control room one last time. The red dot in South America was still flashing, but it was no longer isolated and helpless.
"Activate the emergency protocol," he said. "The Alliance's first operation, targeting the South America rainforest, to track down Bruce Banner, is underway."
The hatch closed, and the engine roared to life.
The aircraft slowly ascended into the sky, cutting through the night.
Tony's voice came through the comms channel. "Hey, Ye Mo."
"What?"
"Do you think this upgrade's ability might be 'making Hulk listen to my jokes'?"
"You're overthinking it." Ye Mo leaned back in his seat. "He probably 'understands two people's nonsense at the same time'."
"That's pretty useful," Tony laughed. "Then you can be my translator from now on."
Emma Frost's voice cut in. "The mental channel has been established; I can sense your location. If the signal is interrupted for more than ten seconds, I will trigger a forced recall."
"Received." Ye Mo closed his eyes and began to mobilize the energy within his body.
The vibrations on the thirty-third floor of the Gene Spiral Tower grew stronger and stronger. Three energy chains slowly intertwined: one pointed towards the Mind Stone, one connected to the tactical rhythm, and the other extended towards the unknown early warning network.
He tried to combine " Danger Sense " with " Telepathy " to create a dual scanning mode. There was a subtle tremor in the air, as if some frequency was being activated.
"Can you feel it?" he asked Emma Frost.
"Yes," she said calmly. "You're trying to build a resonance field. Don't try too hard; you're just warming up."
"I know." Ye Mo opened his eyes and looked at the starry sky outside the porthole. "I just don't want to wait until things go wrong before I take action."
Tony chimed in, "Hey, there's a cloud glowing at five o'clock ahead."
Ye Mo pulled up the radar screen. "It's not clouds, it's ionospheric disturbance. Banner's Gamma Radiation is affecting the atmosphere."
"Then we need to speed things up." Tony activated the thrusters. "Any later, and he could split the Earth in two."
"Take it easy." Ye Mo stared at the data stream. "We're not going to fight, we're going to rescue people."
"Saving people doesn't mean you have to worry about getting beaten up," Tony muttered. "Last time he punched me three hundred meters away, and when I landed, I collapsed half a building."
"You were the one who kicked down his door first that time," Ye Mo reminded him.
"That door is in the way!"
Emma Frost sighed, "Can you guys please stop reminiscing about your embarrassing pasts while on a mission?"
They both fell silent.
The aircraft pierced through the clouds and sped towards South America.
Ye Mo closed his eyes again, trying to expand the range of his Telepathy. He could vaguely sense a violent emotional storm in the distance, which was constantly expanding.
He knew time was running out.
At that very moment, the notification sounded in my mind again:
[ Gene Spiral Tower Floor 33 - Unlocked Successfully]
[New Ability Prototype Formed: Team Resonance Perception ]
He opened his eyes and whispered, "I see."
Tony turned around. "What do you see?"
" Banner's location." Ye Mo pointed to an unmarked coordinate on the edge of the radar. "He's there. And... he remembers us."
