An enemy of the Buddha?
The following morning, the steel aircraft carrier set sail again.
All the Longbo Giants came to the edge of the island to watch Li Boyang and Xiluo leave.
Among them, Qingyue and Luo Qiao were the most heartbroken.
Especially Luo Qiao, watching the aircraft carrier gradually disappear into the distance, Luo Qiao face was filled with longing and reluctance.
On the contrary, Yao Xi, one of the three siblings, although grateful to Li Boyang and Xiluo for the changes they brought to the group of Longbo Giants, still maintained a sense of vigilance and calmness.
While Bi Qingyue and Luo Qiao could ignore the affairs of the clan, Yao Xi, as the priestess, had a much easier time.
In particular, Yao Xi will be responsible for transforming the [Heavenly Net and Earthly Snare Great Formation] left by Yinglong into a real barrier in order to welcome the arrival of the Mountain Folk.
Having lost control, Yao Xi's task was to secure as many benefits as possible for the Longbo Giants within the established framework. Although this was difficult, it was precisely what a priest should do.
As a realist, Yao Xi wouldn't place all her hopes on the kindness of the Mountain Folk.
When necessary, it is also Yao Xi's duty to confront the Mountain Folk and even Yinglong for the benefit of the Longbo Giants. At least, that's what Yao Xi herself believes.
The High Priest's filter for the God of the East Sea was far too strong; Yao Xi didn't have such a strong filter.
Perhaps this is also a major reason why the High Priest chose Yao Xi as his successor without hesitation!
"So we're not continuing eastward?"
Quietly perched on Li Boyang's head, Xiluo lazily wagged her tail while looking down with a hint of curiosity and asking.
At this moment, the steel aircraft carrier had turned and headed inland, which clearly did not conform to the route the two had initially planned. "There's nothing left to see in the east. Don't you want to go and check out Great Xia and Kunlun?"
Upon hearing Li Boyang's words, Xiluo immediately understood.
"Is it for that Buddha head?"
It was obvious that Xiluo had actually been eavesdropping on Xu Jia and Luo Qiao's conversation all day yesterday.
The Headless Buddha in the Biyou Palace is missing a head.
It wasn't until it absorbed enough Sword Qi and thunder power that it re-evolved into a Buddha head and dragon wings.
So here's the question: Headless Buddha originated from Amitabha Buddha, so it's impossible that they were headless from the beginning.
This raises the major question: where did the head go?
Unfortunately, Xu Jia never brought up the whereabouts of the Buddha head.
This left the ever-curious Xiluo scratching her head and racking her brains all night.
"Could it be that the Buddha head is involved in some major event again?"
Xiluo glanced at Li Boyang with a hint of suspicion, feeling that even if it wasn't a big deal originally, his involvement would definitely turn it into a big deal. This was a tacit understanding that the two had developed over a long period of time together.
"Hehe, let Xu Jia tell you about this himself!"
Turning his head to look at Xu Jia behind him, Li Boyang raised an eyebrow and said.
Standing respectfully behind Li Boyang and Xiluo, Xu Jia, who had been trying to minimize his presence, looked up in slight surprise. He clearly hadn't expected the conversation to turn to him.
"Well, actually things aren't as complicated as you think..."
He opened his mouth as if to speak but hesitated, explaining as he did so, as he hadn't yet figured out Xiluo's Xu Jia.
In order to travel to the Mirror Dimension, Xu Jia collected fragments of the Jade of Spiritual Communication throughout the Four Seas and Eight Deserts.
To say that such an action was low-key is clearly impossible.
Putting everything else aside, the fragments of the Jade of Spiritual Communication inherently possess miraculous properties, making it impossible for them not to be discovered by other beings or deities.
In order to obtain the Jade of Spiritual Communication from them, Xu Jia used both kindness and coercion, employing a variety of methods.
Relying on his indestructible [Sixteen-Foot Golden Body], he can travel ten thousand miles in an instant.
Xu Jia was incredibly versatile, capable of both offense and defense, and most of the Heavenly Deity had no good way to deal with him.
Not to mention, Xu Jia was never one to be complacent; he himself grew rapidly at a visible pace during this process. At first, the Heavenly Deity simply couldn't do anything about Xu Jia.
But as time went on, almost all the Heavenly Deity who had come into contact with him admitted that Xu Jia was surpassing them in an incredible way. The four Divine Gate and Heavenly Pass essence, energy, spirit, and heart.
Any of these breakthroughs signifies that the cultivator is on the path to breaking through the Refining Qi into Spirit Transformation realm.
However, for Xu Jia, the Heart Dao seemed to have no threshold at all; he easily crossed the Divine Gate and directly knocked on the Heavenly Pass.
Unfortunately, this was Xu Jia's limit.
Or more precisely, that is the limit of Amitabha Buddha's legacy.
If Xu Jia continued down this path, he would only be able to inherit Amitabha Buddha's [Dao of Guidance] and become the embodiment that helps him be reborn. Although Xu Jia was unaware of Amitabha Buddha's existence at the time, he vaguely realized that it was not his path and that he should not continue down this path.
It was at this time that someone set their sights on Xu Jia.
That person didn't come for the Jade of Spiritual Communication; he came specifically for Xu Jia.
Xu Jia fought him many times, but he was never able to figure out his opponent's background and origins.
The only certainty was that the person's methods were unpredictable and his appearance was ever-changing; he could not possibly be a god, nor could he even be considered a legitimate cultivator. In just a few encounters, Xu Jia had seen more than one of the person's appearances.
Sometimes it's Three Heads and Six Arms Ghost God...
A demon god with two faces and eight arms at times...
Sometimes Ominous Deity with the head of an animal and the body of a human...
Xu Jia initially didn't even connect them to the same person, assuming they were all trying to steal the fragments of the Jade of Spiritual Communication. However, after several exchanges, Xu Jia realized that his opponent had no intention of stealing the Jade of Spiritual Communication at all; instead, every move was aimed at him. This confirmed Xu Jia's suspicion—this guy was purely after him.
Unfortunately, that guy was no match for Xu Jia.
Especially after Xu Jia's strength steadily increased and his attacks became increasingly ruthless, that guy wisely stopped appearing. Until Amitabha Buddha used the Jade of Spiritual Communication to manifest the form of Buddha, attempting to enlighten Xu Jia.
As a result, Xu Jia remained single-mindedly determined to go to the Mirror Dimension, even at the cost of breaking with it.
Subsequently, the Buddha statue was decapitated by the power of the Mirror Dimension, and Xu Jia was guided back to the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss in his final moments. Meanwhile, the person who had been lurking in the shadows seized the opportunity to take the Buddha statue's head.
At this point, Xu Jia had a rough idea of the other party's intentions.
That person was never looking at himself, but at the power of Amitabha Buddha.
