Ch. 601Mystic Garden

Li Xi prepared to travel to Bronze Island under the pretext of researching materials for a new function in the Voice Transmission Talisman, while Li Jingshu and Chen Yun worried about her meeting her father, Xiang Yao. The chapter ended with Li Jingshu trying to distract Chen Yun by mentioning a new batch of pills, which Chen Yun refused to take.

  • Mystic Garden expanded into the Hundred Lands Mountain Range and used its Navigation Maps to identify outsiders and grant access to public areas.
  • Li Jingshu considered moving the Navigation Map’s satellite-linked Law Technique function to the Voice Transmission Talisman, but needed a new, compact material for the module.
  • Li Xi asked to go to Bronze Island to research new materials, and Li Jingshu agreed because Li Xi wanted to meet her birth father, Xiang Yao.
  • Chen Yun worried that Xiang Yao might mislead or hurt Li Xi, while Li Jingshu reassured her that Li Xi was clever.
  • Li Jingshu told Chen Yun that Li Boyang had sent her beautifying pills, but Chen Yun refused them and objected to Jinjiao being summoned to help.

Ch. 602Li Chungang

Li Chungang urged Li Xi to decide whether to meet Xiang Yao, reminding her that Li Chengfeng and his wife had raised her while her birth father had abandoned her. Li Xi said she would return to Li Household Village in a couple of days, leaving her decision about Xiang Yao unresolved.

  • Li Chungang appeared on Bronze Island and asked Li Xi why she had spent a month avoiding Xiang Yao.
  • Li Xi admitted that she knew Xiang Yao had done bad things but had seen through [Knowledge of Past Lives] that his love for her was genuine.
  • Li Chungang argued that Xiang Yao's wrongdoing could not be excused by hardship and reminded Li Xi not to break the hearts of the relatives who raised her.
  • Li Chungang left for Li Household Village after Li Xi called out that she would return in a couple of days and had finished making the new material.

Ch. 603Twelve Mirrors of the Jade Pool

At the Mountain God Temple, Jinjiao and Yinjiao watched Xiao Xi and discussed the aftermath of Yinjiao killing a scourge dragon. Jinjiao warned them not to interfere with Xiao Xi and Xiang Yao, while Yinyue remained at the temple to help watch the Hundred Lands Mountain Range.

  • Yinjiao wondered whether Xiao Xi would go to see Xiang Yao, and Jinjiao told her not to interfere in their affairs.
  • Jinjiao explained that Yinjiao's quick killing of the scourge dragon had cut off their leads, though it had prevented the situation from escalating.
  • Jinjiao discovered that Yinyue had helped Yinjiao because Yinjiao promised to arrange time alone with him.
  • Jinjiao reminded Yinyue that she had been left behind to watch the Hundred Lands Mountain Range, not to help Yinjiao pursue him.
  • Jinjiao told Yinjiao that Xiang Yao would not harm Xiao Xi and urged her to improve her cultivation, but she left rather than listen to his lecture.

Ch. 604The Transformation of the Dao of Talismans

Li Boyang and Xiluo went to Mount Putuo to investigate the South Sea’s connection to the calamity dragon and the hidden Dao Proving One behind it. They saw how Miaoshan’s purple bamboo had entered the Hundred Lands Mountain Range’s talisman supply chain, as Great Xia prepared for a wider technological transformation.

  • Xiluo questioned Li Boyang about the disturbance in the South Sea, and he said the calamity dragon’s eastern origins concealed a root cause there.
  • Li Boyang admitted he was unsure whether someone was attempting Dao Proving outside the Six Desire Heavens, then led Xiluo up Mount Putuo to investigate.
  • Miaoshan’s purple bamboo became an additive that strengthened talisman paper, improved its stability, and let students produce usable talismans.
  • Great Xia began buying talismans in bulk in preparation for widespread use of talisman launchers.
  • The chapter described the Hundred Lands Mountain Range’s growing production and the wider transformation Great Xia was trying to replicate through the All Xia System.

Ch. 605A Supreme Treasure of Civilization, a Divine Artifact for the Ages

Li Boyang and Xiluo visited Mount Putuo and saw how its transportation and technology had advanced through cooperation with other groups. They discussed how the Mystic Garden could become an inheritable sanctuary and lasting safeguard for the mountain folk.

  • Xiluo marveled at Mount Putuo’s new pontoon bridge, hang gliders, hot-air balloons, and other developments.
  • Li Boyang and Xiluo queued to ride a cableway built using Flying Sky Stockade’s technology and Li Jingshu’s high-altitude generators.
  • Li Boyang explained that Miaoshan had won Wu Zhen’s cooperation through aid given to Xingtian City after a locust plague, including food, water-management plans, and Human-Faced Fish in its waterways.
  • Xiluo suggested Nü E could use her spatial-warping Secret Method to connect the Mystic Garden to Xingtian City, and Li Boyang clarified that the Divine Ability was called “The Ends of the Earth Within Reach.”
  • Xiluo argued that Li Boyang would help Nü E improve the Mystic Garden, which the Ten Witches of Spirit Mountain regarded as a supreme treasure and enduring sanctuary for the mountain folk.

Ch. 606A Claim of Sovereignty over Mount Kunlun

Li Boyang considered how Nü E’s plan to connect Xingtian City to the Hundred Lands Mountain Range could challenge Great Xia, while Xiluo looked forward to the connection. Nü E and Li Zhu entered Mount Kunlun to explore its earth veins and waterways, leaving Nü E to pursue the legendary Long Stairway of Divine Ascension.

  • Xiluo anticipated the completion of “The Ends of the Earth Within Reach,” and Li Boyang discussed how it could make Xingtian City an exclave of the Hundred Lands Mountain Range.
  • Li Boyang reasoned that Nü E hoped to annex Xingtian City before Great Xia settled its internal conflicts, while the current Xingtian sought to restore the city’s strategic value.
  • Nü E and Li Zhu appeared at the boundary between Mount Kunlun and Mount Changyang, and Li Zhu confirmed that they had entered Mount Kunlun.
  • Nü E set out to investigate Mount Kunlun’s earth veins and waterways and search for the remains of the Long Stairway of Divine Ascension, with Li Zhu hurrying after her.

Ch. 607The Twenty-Four Legions of Dharma Protector Deities

Li Boyang and Xiluo traveled to Mount Putuo, where Xiluo discovered that the school’s guardian deity and the deities in Miaoshan’s Purple Bamboo Grove also held identities among the Eight Legions. They reached the grove wondering how Miaoshan had enabled so many deities to tame their Heart Demons.

  • Li Boyang noticed that Mount Putuo’s cable car used advanced materials and talismans, reflecting how Divine Abilities and Law Techniques shaped technology in the mythic age.
  • Xiluo spotted Mount Putuo’s comprehensive school, and its three-eyed guardian deity searched for her and Li Boyang without locating them.
  • Xiluo recognized that the guardian deity was both a deity and a Deva, and Li Boyang explained that he had tamed his Heart Demon.
  • Li Boyang and Xiluo arrived at the mountaintop and found more than ten deities with dual identities among the Eight Legions in Miaoshan’s Purple Bamboo Grove.
  • Xiluo questioned whether Miaoshan was the same unremarkable deity she remembered, given the grove’s extraordinary concentration of Heart-Demon-taming deities.

Ch. 608I am a demon, and also a Buddha

Miaoshan returned as both a Gandharva embodying desire and a Buddha embodying right mindfulness, then told Li Boyang and Xiluo how she had fled Mara through the Six Desire Heavens. After Golden Light Lion Play Tathagata rescued her and welcomed her into his Buddha realm, she became the first member of the Eight Legions to relinquish desire from the heart.

  • Miaoshan emerged from the Purple Bamboo Grove, and Xiluo recognized that she was both a Gandharva and a Buddha of Yama Heaven.
  • At Li Boyang’s request, Miaoshan recounted how she had fled Mara after returning early from the Jade Pool Grand Assembly.
  • Miaoshan lured Mara into the Heaven of the Four Heavenly Kings, where she reincarnated as a Gandharva, but Mara continued hunting her through the Six Desire Heavens.
  • Miaoshan repeatedly fought back against Mara, and their battles affected the war in Trayastrimsa Heaven.
  • Golden Light Lion Play Tathagata intervened when Mara nearly killed Miaoshan, defeated him, and brought her into his Buddha realm.

Ch. 609The story of Guanyin's enlightenment

Miaoshan recounted how she became Guanshiyin, advanced to the threshold of Buddhahood, and rejected it to continue serving living beings. She explained that she had subdued the evil gods of Purple Bamboo Grove, prompting Xiluo to question how they would fit into Li Boyang’s Six Desire Heavens after death.

  • Golden Light Lion Play Tathagata guided Miaoshan to awaken her right mindfulness and recommended her to Treasure Treasury Tathagata.
  • Treasure Treasury Tathagata sealed Miaoshan’s six consciousnesses and sent her to reincarnate in his Buddha realm, where she experienced his memories and learned of living beings’ hopes.
  • Miaoshan returned from reincarnation as a Bodhisattva, vowed to deliver all living beings from suffering, and received the honorific Guanshiyin from Treasure Treasury Tathagata.
  • Thousand Light King Tranquil Abiding Tathagata taught Miaoshan the Great Compassion Incantation, helping her become an eighth ground Bodhisattva with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes.
  • When a Buddha realm appeared and offered her Buddhahood, Miaoshan rejected it, then traveled through Yama Heaven seeking guidance as Guanshiyin.
  • Miaoshan told Xiluo she was both Miaoshan and Guanshiyin and had subdued the evil gods of Purple Bamboo Grove; Xiluo questioned Li Boyang about where those gods would go after death.

Ch. 610Dragon Transformation Platform

Li Boyang welcomed Miaoshan’s progress and gifted her lotuses to forge into Law Treasures before asking what she knew about the calamity dragon. Miaoshan revealed that it was an impure Naga and that the Nagas had developed the Dragon Transformation Platform, an imitation of the Six Paths of Reincarnation that could reincarnate Nagas as dragons.

  • Li Boyang told Miaoshan she was close to refining spirit and returning to emptiness, then gifted her lotuses suited to her path and future artifact refining.
  • Miaoshan guessed Li Boyang and Xiluo had come to ask about the calamity dragon, prompting Xiluo to realize Li Boyang already knew it was a Naga.
  • Miaoshan explained that Asuras could reincarnate as members of the Asura Clan and that the Eight Legions were seeking similar ways to reincarnate.
  • Miaoshan said the Nagas had created the Dragon Transformation Platform before she left the Six Desire Heavens.
  • Miaoshan explained that the Dragon Transformation Platform imitated the Six Paths of Reincarnation but could only let Nagas reincarnate as dragons.

Ch. 611The birth of the Dragon Race, Past-Life Awakening

Miaoshan explained how the Nagas used the Dragon Transformation Platform to merge with compatible hosts through a process called Past-Life Awakening. Li Boyang exposed that some of Mount Putuo’s guardian gods were Nagas whose awakening had failed, and Xiluo demanded to know why Miaoshan had hidden their identities.

  • Li Boyang was surprised to learn that the Nagas were creating a reproducing Dragon Race by reincarnating into transformed bodies in the mortal world.
  • Miaoshan explained that the Dragon Transformation Platform selected compatible hosts and gradually merged the Nagas’ bodies, memories, and wills with theirs through Past-Life Awakening.
  • Xiluo asked how the Nagas dealt with their hosts’ original consciousness, and Miaoshan said the platform changed both body and soul so they could grow together.
  • Li Boyang suggested that Past-Life Awakening could fail and revealed that the calamity dragon had come for Mount Putuo, then used his Heavenly Eye to expose several Naga guardian gods.
  • Xiluo realized Miaoshan had tamed the Nagas’ Heart Demons and disguised them as Devas, then demanded to know why she had concealed their identities.
  • Miaoshan, the guardian gods, and the exposed Nagas knelt before Xiluo, while the Nagas repeatedly kowtowed and begged for mercy.

Ch. 612Dragon King Sagara

Li Boyang and Xiluo learned that Miaoshan had been wary of them because of the Nagas and Dragon King Sagara, who could wield Li Boyang’s jade purifying vase. After explaining what he knew about the scourge dragon, Li Boyang asked Miaoshan to lead him to Sagara so he could clear his name and investigate.

  • Miaoshan explained that she had taken precautions because she did not know who would arrive at Mount Putuo, but Li Boyang suspected her caution was also tied to the scourge dragon.
  • Miaoshan revealed that Dragon King Sagara, deep in the South Sea, could use the jade vase in the sea eye, which Li Boyang had refined.
  • Li Boyang denied knowing Sagara or why the dragon king could wield the vase, and explained that the scourge dragon had been a black serpent under Lord Meng Zhang before it awakened incompletely and was killed by Yinjiao.
  • Li Boyang said a Dao Proving One had obscured the heavenly secrets surrounding the Nagas and asked Miaoshan to take him to Dragon King Sagara.

Ch. 613Plain-Colored Cloud Realm Flag

Miaoshan, Xiluo, and Li Boyang confronted Dragon King Sagara at the South Sea sea eye, where Sagara attacked with a water cannon carrying Li Boyang’s Sword Qi. Xiluo subdued Sagara with her Plain-Colored Cloud Realm Flag, and the serpent’s humanoid form revealed a striking resemblance to Li Boyang, leaving him searching for an explanation.

  • Miaoshan led Xiluo and Li Boyang to the South Sea sea eye, where the Mutton-Fat Jade Purifying Vase emerged and Dragon King Sagara appeared as a blue-and-white sea serpent.
  • Sagara attacked the three with a lightning-wreathed water cannon infused with Li Boyang’s Body-Protecting Sword Qi.
  • Xiluo split the water cannon with her ribbons and used her Plain-Colored Cloud Realm Flag to drain Sagara’s vitality and restrain her.
  • Sagara shrank into a half-human, half-serpent form whose youthful face closely resembled Li Boyang’s, prompting Xiluo to stop her lethal attack.
  • Li Boyang began divining and opened his Heavenly Eye to investigate Sagara’s connection to him, while Miaoshan and Xiluo remarked on their resemblance.

Ch. 614The Dao Ancestor's temple statue: the Sea Dragon King

Li Boyang explained how the sea snake statue worshipped as the Sea Dragon King Sagara became the eighth Dragon King of the Nagas after the Dragon Transformation Platform selected it as a vessel. The chapter ended with Xiluo connecting Sagara to a dragon who had come to the South Sea seeking help and was killed by Yinjiao.

  • Li Boyang confirmed that the sea snake could speak and asked whether she was Dragon King Sagara.
  • Li Boyang recounted how Buyan Huyu’s curse had turned many South Sea gods into jade statues, including the sea snake that later came to life after Buyan Huyu’s death.
  • A coastal village enshrined the sea snake statue in Li Boyang’s temple, where it brought favorable weather and sea snakes that willingly entered the villagers’ nets.
  • The Nagas’ Dragon Transformation Platform selected the statue as a vessel, and multiple Nagas united through it to create Sea Dragon King Sagara.
  • Li Boyang described the other seven Dragon Kings and explained that each embodied the Nagas’ united will.
  • Xiluo asked whether a dragon had come to the South Sea seeking Sagara’s help before Yinjiao killed it near the Hundred Lands Mountain Range.

Ch. 615The Dragon Girl of the South Sea

Li Boyang entrusted Sagara’s education to Miaoshan while making her the Dragon Girl of the South Sea and giving her command of the [Mutton-Fat Jade Purifying Vase]. He left Sagara’s future identity and beliefs for her to choose, while he took responsibility for dealing with the Nagas.

  • Li Boyang confirmed that the calamity dragon had traveled to the South Sea seeking Miaoshan and Sagara, and Xiluo asked what he would do about Sagara.
  • Miaoshan offered to teach Sagara reason and help her tame the Nagas’ Heart Demons, but Xiluo accused her of wanting to deliver the Nagas through Sagara.
  • Miaoshan denied that she intended to impose Buddhist teachings, and Li Boyang agreed to let her look after Sagara.
  • Li Boyang transformed Sagara into a little girl and empowered the [Mutton-Fat Jade Purifying Vase] with seawater, lightning, and storm, strengthening Sagara’s bond with it until it accepted her as its owner.
  • Li Boyang named Sagara the Dragon Girl of the South Sea, gave her the vase to command, and told Miaoshan to educate her without deciding whether she would become a demon or a Buddha.
  • Li Boyang said he would resolve matters with the Nagas and left Sagara free to accept or reject their Heart Demons after learning reason.

Ch. 616Contending for the Place of Heaven and Earth's Protagonist

Li Boyang explained that a Dao Proving One intended to flood the land with the oceans and make the Dragon Race heaven and earth’s protagonists. As he prepared to visit the Six Desire Heavens, he asked Xiluo to watch over the other seas, and she agreed in exchange for his help refining her treasure.

  • Xiluo questioned Li Boyang for giving Sagara the Mutton-Fat Jade Purifying Vase, and he said Miaoshan would guide her while she retained freedom to choose.
  • Xiluo asked whether Li Boyang’s actions were connected to a Dao Proving One, and he revealed that the being thought the oceans were too small for the Dragon Race and planned to engulf the land with water.
  • Li Boyang said he would visit the Six Desire Heavens and asked Xiluo to check on the East, North, and West Seas while Miaoshan and Sagara watched the South Sea.
  • Xiluo accused Li Boyang of hiding his motives but agreed to travel after he offered to find materials and help her refine the Plain-Colored Cloud Realm Flag.

Ch. 617The gods of Kunlun

Nü E and Li Zhu reached the border of Kunlun and the West Sea while searching for the Long Stairway of Divine Ascension. After seeing the savage Ominous Deities there, they debated whether to continue, and Li Zhu sensed that the West Sea had changed in a dangerous way.

  • Nü E wondered who was preventing Kunlun’s wild gods and barbaric gods from gaining knowledge, and Li Zhu admitted she had never noticed anything unusual before.
  • Nü E and Li Zhu neared the West Sea after failing to find the Long Stairway of Divine Ascension during their journey through Kunlun.
  • Nü E saw a half-human, half-beast divine being hunt with the primitive savagery of a ferocious beast.
  • Li Zhu explained that such Ominous Deities had been common in Kunlun before Wu Yi Shoots at Heaven and the Dao Ancestor’s Dao Proving.
  • Li Zhu warned that she could not guarantee Nü E’s safety in the West Sea and said the region seemed different from the one she remembered.

Ch. 618The sea of Yu Abyss, a world-ending calamity

Nü E and Li Zhu discovered that the West Sea was rising and swallowing the land, and Xingtian Shi explained that the ocean’s expansion had begun after the Dao Ancestor’s Dao Proving. Nü E joined his effort to stop it, and Xingtian Shi sent a Jade Pool Invitation toward the eye of the West Sea, awakening sea beasts and demons.

  • Nü E and Li Zhu saw violent waters and fighting creatures along the West Sea shore, and Li Zhu said the sea had never behaved this way.
  • Xingtian Shi appeared and explained that the West Sea’s water was increasing, causing it to swallow the land.
  • Nü E asked how the expansion could be stopped, and Xingtian Shi revealed that the Queen Mother of the West had warned him and given him a Jade Pool Invitation.
  • Nü E agreed to join Xingtian Shi’s effort to curb the West Sea’s expansion.

  • The Youyu Clan and other gods of Great Xia emerged from vortices and attacked the sea beasts.
  • Nü E asked Xingtian Shi whether he had persuaded the gods, and he said Wu Xian had done it.
  • Wu Xian appeared with the great witches and projected the Jianmu Cauldron over the battlefield using his scepter.
  • The Jianmu Cauldron empowered Great Xia’s gods and witches while reducing the enemy forces to less than a tenth of their strength.
  • The Nagas revealed themselves and joined the battle, but Wu Luo killed one with his transformed spine and Wu Xian cursed another to death.

Ch. 620War God Xingtian, Battling Heaven and Earth

Nü E witnessed Great Xia’s forces struggle against the Dragon Kings as the four seas surged into a world-threatening flood. Xingtian Shi joined the battle and entered his berserk state, while Anavatapta faced the War God’s separated head and body.

  • Nü E reconsidered joining the battle after seeing the strength of Great Xia’s gods and shamans.
  • Utpala and Anavatapta appeared at the West Sea’s sea eye and identified the floating tower as the key to the battle.
  • The sea eyes broke their usual balance, unleashing tsunamis across all four seas.
  • Xingtian Shi attacked the Dragon Kings, shattered Utpala’s blue lotus, and met Anavatapta’s charge head-on.
  • Xingtian Shi’s head detached from his body, and his chest eyes and stomach mouth unleashed a deafening attack that injured nearby Nagas and sea beasts.
  • Anavatapta ignored his cracked horns and challenged Xingtian Shi’s airborne head, believing it held the War God’s present-day will.
