After leaving the capital, Xu Qi'an traveled through the jianghu, gathered Dragon Qi, and rescued Li Lingsu from the women who had sealed his cultivation. Sun Xuanji sent him to Leizhou to retrieve Shenshu’s severed arm and stop the Shaman God Cult, where he arrived shortly before the Pagoda Treasure Tower opened.

• Xu Qi'an accepted the Seven Absolutes Gu, reunited with Lin'an, and left the capital with Mu Nanzhi as Wei Yuan was revived without his souls.
• In Yongzhou, Xu Qi'an explored a tomb, collected the corpse’s nails, venom, and Corpse Qi, and arranged a martial arts gathering before absorbing Dragon Qi from Zhu Er in Fuyang County.
• Xu Qi'an and Mu Nanzhi traveled to Pingzhou, where Xu Qi'an fought Dongfang Wanqing and rescued Li Lingsu from Dongfang Wanrong and Dongfang Wanqing.
• Li Lingsu joined Xu Qi'an and Mu Nanzhi on their journey west, and Xu Qi'an told him that Yuanjing had been killed for conspiring to sacrifice Great Feng’s Fate.
• Sun Xuanji recruited Xu Qi'an to go to Leizhou, retrieve Shenshu’s severed arm from the Buddhist Pagoda, and prevent the Shaman God Cult from rescuing Nalan Tianlu’s soul.
• Xu Qi'an, Mu Nanzhi, and Li Lingsu obtained Red-Tailed Fiery Eagles and reached Leizhou, where Wenren Qianrou told them the Pagoda Treasure Tower would open in nine days.

Xu Qi'an entered Three Flowers Temple’s pagoda, seized its Dragon Qi and escaped with the tower, while the Buddhist Order identified him as the Buddha’s Son. In Xiangzhou, he investigated Chai Xian’s alleged crimes and pursued the Dragon Qi as the Devil-Slaying Assembly approached.

• Xu Qi'an stirred up the crowd outside Three Flowers Temple with rumors of treasure, then entered the pagoda and walked its trials with ease.
• Xu Qi'an explored Nalan Tianlu’s dream with the other intruders, confronted the East Sea Dragon Palace group and helped break free of the dream.
• Xu Qi'an drew the pagoda’s Dragon Qi into himself, fought the Buddhist monks and escaped inside the tower after becoming its master.
• Xu Qi'an compensated the Leizhou martial artists, while the Buddhist Order identified him and ordered forces to capture and convert him.
• Xu Qi'an learned that Shenshu’s head might be in Aranda, then left for Xiangzhou with Li Lingsu and Mu Nanzhi.
• At the Chai Residence, Xu Qi'an questioned Chai Xing'er about Chai Xian as Buddhist monks arrived to intervene in the case.
• Xu Qi'an used a cat to spy on Chai Xing'er and the monks, then followed a walking corpse and met Chai Xian, who denied the accusations and said he had been framed.

Xu Qi'an unraveled the Chai Clan murders, exposed Chai Xing'er’s role, and absorbed Chai Xian’s Dragon Qi before heading to Yongzhou. There he survived Vajra Dunan’s attack, reunited with Luo Yuheng, and captured Xu Yuanshuang, learning that Xu Pingfeng was her father.

• Li Lingsu investigated the Chai Clan and told Xu Qi'an that Chai Xing'er’s former husband had been refined into an Iron Corpse, while Xu Qi'an prioritized finding Chai Xian and the Dragon Qi.
• Xu Qi'an found the family Chai Xian had visited murdered, examined Chai Jianyuan’s corpse, and discovered that Chai Jianyuan and Chai Xian both had six toes.
• Jingxin and Jingyuan captured Chai Xian, whose other personality confessed to killing Chai Jianyuan and the victims across Xiangzhou, while Xu Qi'an found Chai Lan imprisoned beneath the ancestral hall.
• Xu Qi'an removed the Demon-Sealing Nails with Shenshu’s help, defeated Jingyuan and Jingxin, and learned the Buddhist Order planned to capture him.
• Xu Qi'an exposed Chai Xing'er as the person who had poisoned Chai Jianyuan and imprisoned Chai Lan, while Chai Xian killed himself and released his Dragon Qi for Xu Qi'an to absorb.

• Vajra Dunan attacked Xu Qi'an in Yongzhou and pierced his chest, but Hengyin gave his life to help Xu Qi'an escape in the Pagoda Treasure Tower until Luo Yuheng arrived and struck Dunan away.
• Luo Yuheng restored Li Lingsu’s cultivation and prepared to face her Karmic Fire, while Mu Nanzhi returned to the capital and Xu Qi'an became her Dao companion’s partner through dual cultivation.
• Xu Qi'an searched Yongzhou’s martial assembly, found Ji Xuan’s group, and seized Xu Yuanshuang before questioning her about Hidden Dragon City.
• Xu Qi'an used Heart Gu to make Xu Yuanshuang reveal that Xu Pingfeng was her father, then released her, and she returned to Yongzhou to face questions from Liu Hongmian and the others.

Xu Qi'an gathered the Dragon Qi host, defeated Ji Xuan’s group and Arhat Duqing, and returned to the capital with his allies. After Duqing removed two Demon-Sealing Nails and restored most of Xu Qi'an’s strength, the Superintendent warned him that Xu Pingfeng was preparing to rebel in Yunzhou as the capital faced a worsening winter disaster.

• Xu Qi'an and Luo Yuheng captured Arhat Duqing after she defeated him, while Xu Qi'an routed Ji Xuan’s group and forced the survivors to flee.
• Xu Qi'an extracted Miao Youfang’s Dragon Qi, took him on as an unpaid follower, and investigated the ancient tomb with Luo Yuheng.
• Xu Qi'an and his companions left for the capital, where Lin'an and Huaiqing faced the court’s failure to organize relief for the snow disaster.
• The Superintendent traded Arhat Duqing’s help removing Xu Qi'an’s Demon-Sealing Nails for the release of Jingxin and Jingyuan.
