Ziyue’s human memories belong to a data science specialist who had worked at the Federation’s data center. After offending an official’s child, she resigned, joined an internet company, and eventually tested game data at Pu Yunchuan’s studio. Chen Qing later identifies the person fused with the princess as the former chief data engineer 890 906.

Her recovered memories show that she accepted an invitation to a data-life laboratory in America. There, Chen Qing introduced himself as Pu Yunchuan’s younger brother. She correctly deduced that Pu Yunchuan had become a data life-form and that the invited developers were needed to reconstruct the game environment. Although she suspected the developers themselves might be copies or data life-forms, she agreed to participate 952 958 959.

She later remembered Elder Liu shooting her. She suspected that he had killed her to prevent her from discovering—and potentially reproducing—the mechanism behind reincarnation in the game 965.

Ancient Demon princess and the Warlock Dynasty

The Ancient Demon component of Ziyue was a highly regarded princess whose standing approached that of the heir apparent. During her travels, ordinary villagers sheltered her after she escaped a sorcerer family. Their kindness became an enduring reason she refused to dismiss the world’s inhabitants as expendable beings 442.

She and the King of Qin searched for every member of their final group of Reincarnators. She initially regarded him as a savior and trusted his claim that the pioneers controlled reincarnation, preventing further newcomers from arriving 435 581.

Chen Qing considers her one of the cleverest people he has encountered, despite her misleadingly childlike appearance 346 349 358.

She is usually expressionless, with visible amusement sometimes accompanying murderous intent. Her hostility toward former experimenters and abusive elders can become openly vicious, but she can postpone revenge when strategic needs take priority 313 943 948.

Her distrust does not erase her attachment to others. Although betrayal under the King of Qin left her bitter, she refuses to let humanity become livestock for outside powers. She also advises Ao Zhen on overcoming prejudice within Jiangnan rather than simply accepting factional hostility 442 449.

Her endurance is exceptional. In the Dragon Palace, she identifies the immense jade deposits as Chen Qing’s true objective. She and Murong attempt to exploit his predicament to obtain his secrets, Jiangnan forces, and Divine Path Style, but Chen Qing briefly suppresses her with an Anti-Magic Array as the Heaven-Devouring Dragon Whale closes around them 349 357.

East Sea and the Defense of Humanity

Ziyue follows a Flying Star passage into the East Sea and forms a temporary partnership with Xiao Mingyue. Her knowledge of ancient warlocks helps them extract information from a surviving Lu Family experimenter 424 426.

She ultimately breaks the King of Qin’s ice prison around Chen Qing and opposes his plan to abandon humanity. Before disappearing into the Heavenly Secrets Cave, Chen Qing appoints her Great Emperor Ziwei and entrusts Jiangnan to her 442.

Jiangnan Leadership and Northern Campaigns

Her appointment does not immediately win Jiangnan’s trust: internal factions remember that she once nearly helped A Li seize Liuzhou. Nevertheless, she contributes to the Dragon Palace Academy, develops its inherited arts, and handles political mediation 445 449 486.

She later moves north to compete with established guilds for territory. To strengthen Jiangnan against a possible invasion, she negotiates a loan of five hundred thousand ordinary Great Yan soldiers for three years, offering a spell covenant to guarantee their return 527 663.

Celestial Master Competition

The Celestial Master Mansion nominates Ziyue despite its history of hunting her. She presides over the Vermilion Bird Gate, where challengers can replace her by defeating her. Later, Yunyue claims that Ziyue is Heavenly Venerable Ziwei, wielder of the innate space Dao Fruit, and that Yunyue is her good corpse. Ziyue cannot sense the claimed connection or recall such a life; Chen Qing explicitly warns her not to trust Yunyue 1062.

Heavenly Court Infiltration

Using the King of Qin’s borrowed divine authority, Ziyue receives Star Lord Ziwei’s seized abilities and enters the Heavenly Court’s grand array. Rather than destroy the ancient structure outright, she searches its creator backdoors 1130 1131.
