Wen Jing revealed that the Prophet had never existed and that the Mastermind’s true home was the hidden Tenth Star. War Personality broke through its defenses and began consuming the planet’s super-material, as the Mastermind counterattacked.
The Mastermind struggled to contain Wen Jing’s rapidly multiplying mutant insect swarm, then deployed forty-three brainwashed S-rank clones and redirected five uninhabited planets toward habitable worlds. The chapter ended as the clones used Time Barrier to isolate the War Personality and its swarm, while the incoming planets threatened the Federation’s population.
The Mastermind’s S-rank clones trapped the War Personality while its resource planets threatened the Federation’s four habitable planets. Wen Jing took control of the planets, prevented the destruction, and brought the habitable worlds into a spectacular close dance, leaving their inhabitants safe and amazed.
The Mastermind drained the Federation’s star, but Wen Jing lit the system again with the insect swarm and steadily broke through its seal. The Mastermind offered to surrender, but Wen Jing demanded its complete destruction, leaving its sincerity and possible backup plan uncertain.
Wen Jing destroyed the Mastermind and consumed its core, but the Mastermind issued the unknown command “Execute Plan ?” before vanishing. Wen Jing remained wary and began a final check with Xu Yuan.
Wen Jing awakened as a three-month-old infant in the population factory after the material universe collapsed and expanded, with her Evolution Panel gone and her powers transformed. She discovered that her new body could control mechanical guards and absorb their attacks, while the Mastermind's next move remained unknown.
Wen Jing awakened powerful abilities as a baby, escaped the School District Planet, and broke through the Tenth Star’s defenses to reach the Mastermind’s core. The Mastermind extinguished Xu Yuan’s consciousness node, but Xu Yuan reappeared in Wen Jing’s Mind Palace and spoke to Dominant Will.
After Xu Yuan revealed that the Mastermind had used a fourth-dimensional causality weapon to reverse the universe’s time, Wen Jing attacked and devoured its core despite its offer to make peace. She learned the weapon could only push time backward, leaving her potentially trapped in the past with no way to return.
Wen Jing was sent farther back in time, arriving aboard a Federation ship as an adult before her birth and meeting Bai Xiao as a new student. The Mastermind escaped by revealing and then teleporting the Tenth Star, leaving Wen Jing to choose between pursuing it and preserving the chance to live alongside the people she loved.
After the Mastermind vanished and every bloodline noble in the Empire died, Bai Ling warned the Federation’s leaders against exploiting the upheaval. Meanwhile, Wen Jing reunited with Xu Yuan at Mystic Radiance Academy and joined Bai Xiao on the way to watch her challenge match.
After Bai Xiao defeated Xie Ming, she learned that he had only acted arrogant to avoid challenges and invited him to join her. Bai Xiao helped him overcome his isolation, and as the Freshman League approached, Xie Ming arrived at Wen Jing and Xu Yuan’s dorm room, apparently worried he had interrupted them.
Wen Jing and Xu Yuan left Xie Ming without revealing the secret behind their connection to Bai Xiao, then Wen Jing tracked down and destroyed the Mastermind in deep space. Recovering memories from at least twenty erased timelines, Wen Jing learned how the Mastermind had repeatedly tried to kill and seal her, and that she had survived each attack and grown stronger.
Wen Jing discovered that the Evolution Panel was a limiter suppressing her true power, Infinite Adaptability, and used her adaptation to causality to reverse the Mastermind’s rewind. Back on Mystic Radiance Star after the victory, she set her sights on gathering the Fire of Civilization and resurrecting her teacher.
After the war, the Federation and Empire dealt with the aftermath as the Empire learned the truth about humanity’s captivity and received the newly awakened Weiluo. Wen Jing investigated the Mastermind’s history and uncovered how an unknown “author” had altered the universe’s rules before the Mastermind killed them.
Wen Jing used the Author’s ability to revive Dean Bai, and Xie Ming embraced her as soon as she returned. Three days later, Dean Bai and Xie Ming were still stranded in space and decided to signal Wen Jing for help.
Dean Bai and Xie Ming joined Wen Jing in removing the Tide of Ignorance, allowing humanity to leave its false world and begin exploring the real universe. They discovered the Boundary-Breaking Empire nearby, while Wen Jing kept her identity and the truth about humanity’s captivity secret from the wider leadership.
Wen Jing’s complete Information Perception revealed the universe’s history and rules as she advanced humanity into the Star Alliance and surpassed the Mastermind’s technology. When two figures from outside the universe appeared and took the Mastermind’s core, Wen Jing confronted them, and the shadow recognized that she had once been human.
Wen Jing learned from Transcendence and Chaos that the Insect Race threatened every universe and that Wish had created new universes to preserve humanity. After refusing to let them take a copy of the Mastermind, she prepared to destroy its core, and it begged her not to eat it.
Wen Jing refused Transcendence and Chaos’s request to bind herself with a soul contract, then explained that the Insect Race destroyed universes as a consequence of its need to adapt and evolve. After learning about the Source Universe, she crossed beyond her universe and drew 325 beams of boundary-crossing power to herself, while revealing that her past-life memories pointed to a Source Universe without extraordinary abilities.
Wen Jing learned that the Supreme Universe contained the Supreme Observers whose information and gazes let her cross multiversal boundaries. She and her clones departed for the endless universes, while one clone remained behind, and her journey toward the Source Universe continued beyond the end of the main story.
