The Three Sects Arrive Together
[Dao Fruit].
The most crucial element of the Xuanhuang Dao Attainment Method.
To ascend to the throne, one must first find Dao Fruit that aligns with one's own lineage, and then use the [Dharma Body] to temper the physical form and the [Immortal Aspect].
Gather divine will and carry the Great Dao with [Dao Fruit].
Only by achieving Samadhi and Oneness can one uphold the Dao Foundation, break free from the constraints of the Long River of Time, and soar into the place where all laws originate and the Great Dao manifests.
[All Wonders Heaven].
To attain the position of True Lord.
This is Xuanhuang, ironclad law of nature.
However, the Dao Fruit not something that ordinary people can touch.
These wondrous things, naturally formed by the Great Dao of Heaven and Earth, are all hidden deep within the highest realm of the All Wonders Heaven, protected by all laws, and beyond the reach of Foundation Establishment True Person.
For ordinary cultivators seeking Dao Fruit, the only way is to "perform the deeds favored by the Great Dao"—whether it's helping the needy and accumulating immeasurable merit, pioneering new methods to establish a new lineage, or turning the tide during a great calamity.
In this way, one can attract the attention of the the Unseen [Dao Fruit], gain its favor, and thus have a chance to be guided.
Even so, the Dao Fruit to enlightenment is fraught with difficulties and dangers.
The All Wonders Heaven hangs high above the Long River of Time. Without a sufficiently powerful [Dharma Body] to bear the Daoist essence, and without a sufficiently perfect [Immortal Aspect] to communicate the mysteries, cultivators simply cannot even touch that ethereal "boundary" between the [Foundation Establishment Heaven] and the [All Wonders Heaven].
Not to mention upholding the Dao Foundation and receiving its Dao Fruit.
But at this moment, what Youquan saw completely defied this ironclad rule.
The Blood Sea Dao Fruit are not yet suspended in the All Wonders Heaven.
It lies hidden deep within the Blood Sea.
"The Blood Sea is the Dao, and the Dao is the Blood Sea."
The Youquan whispered, its sound rippling through the deathly darkness of the trench.
What does this mean?
This means that he doesn't need to painstakingly refine his Dharma Body Immortal Aspect, or struggle to break through that ethereal barrier between Celestial Person and man, like other Foundation Establishment True Person.
If he could gain the "favor" of this Dao Fruit hidden deep within the Blood Sea, he could directly obtain a temporary [Fruition Status] from the origin of the Blood Sea.
Even if the Dharma Body is not yet perfect, the Immortal Aspect has not yet been formed, and the Samadhi has not yet been unified.
He can also temporarily control a portion of the True Lord's power by relying on the original connection between the Blood Sea and the Dao Fruit!
Youquan slowly rose to his feet, and the Blood Sea behind him rose accordingly.
On the sea, the previously chaotic and intertwined dragon shadows, golden lotuses, and mountain phantoms suddenly began to rotate, sink, and return to their positions in a certain rhythm.
It was as if an invisible giant hand was rearranging the fragments of the Great Dao deep within the Blood Sea.
Youquan gazed intently at the nascent Dao Fruit, his eyes gleaming with an ever-deepening light.
Once he temporarily assumes the throne----
Those two treasures that are "untouched by cause and effect" -
"Then you can take advantage of the situation and bring it into your possession."
Deep within the trench, a series of low laughs gradually rose.
The laughter began softly, like ice cracking, then grew louder, like a surging tide of blood, and finally burst into a suppressed yet exhilarating long laugh, echoing in this deep sea where even time seemed to freeze, causing the surrounding rock layers, deposited for hundreds of millions of years, to crumble and peel away.
Before the laughter subsided, Youquan had already raised his hand and made a gesture.
Deep within the Blood Sea, an exceptionally solid Blood God Son emerged and quietly merged into Youquan's sleeve.
"Go."
He said softly.
The Blood God Son transformed into an almost imperceptible crimson thread, piercing through layers of seawater, and sped towards the location of the Wuji Sacred Sect in the northwest.
Outside the Wuji Sacred Sect's Green Mountain Daoist Temple.
A waning moon hangs obliquely, casting swaying shadows of pine trees.
Qi Yun stood with his hands behind his back on the stone steps in front of the temple, his dark blue Daoist robe fluttering slightly in the night breeze.
He did not wear the crown of a sect leader, nor did he exude any imposing aura. He simply stood quietly like an ordinary cultivator, yet he possessed a calm and dignified demeanor.
A streak of crimson Flowing Light shot through the air from the distant mountain path, landing three zhang in front of the stone steps.
As the Flowing Light faded, a figure with a slightly pale complexion and somewhat weak breath was revealed—it was Xuanming.
He had changed out of his coarse cloth Daoist robe, and his hair was neatly combed.
However, a trace of disorientation remained in his eyes after experiencing a life-or-death ordeal, as well as an inescapable awkwardness when facing this "old friend" who was now the leader of the Holy Sect.
Qi Yun's gaze fell on his face, and after a moment of quiet observation, he suddenly smiled faintly.
"They've arrived."
The two words were uttered in a calm, conversational manner, like reminiscing about the past.
Xuanming's lips moved slightly, as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, it only turned into a low murmur, "---- True Person Qi."
Qi Yun shook his head and said nothing more, only raising his right hand and pointing his index finger in the air.
"Buzz"
A gentle divine light emanated from his fingertip, initially like a firefly, but instantly transformed into a clear, moonlit Flowing Light, which suddenly disappeared into Xuanming's Ancestral Aperture eyebrows!
Xuanming shuddered, his eyes suddenly losing focus.
In an instant, countless long-forgotten fragments of memory surged up from the depths of the Purple Mansion like a tide.
The struggles of Blood God Scripture in his past life, the fear upon discovering the hidden dangers of the Cultivation Method, the helplessness as his lifespan neared its end, Qi Yun's admonition before his reincarnation: "Don't trust anyone"—
Countless images intertwine and collide, ultimately converging into a clear understanding of "self".
Deep within the Divine Soul, the "mystery of past lives" that obscured the memories of the true spirit's reincarnation melted away rapidly like lingering snow in spring under the cleansing light of this divine radiance.
The dazedness and unease on Xuanming's face gradually faded.
Instead, there is a weariness after experiencing vicissitudes, and a sense of relief at finally "returning home" deep within that weariness.
He slowly raised his head and looked at the deep blue figure on the stone steps, his expression changing several times.
There was relief, there was emotion, there was a sense of loss as if from another world, but in the end all of these feelings settled into a gentle smile.
Qi Yun was very familiar with that smile.
A hundred years ago, the gray-robed old man in the Foundation Establishment Mirror Heaven, whose lifespan was nearing its end but who still tried his best to leave a warning for him, also smiled like this.
"----teacher."
Qi Yun cupped his hands in a gesture of respect, as if performing the disciple's salute.
Xuanming —or rather, the reincarnation of True Person Deng— waved his hand, a hint of nonchalance in his smile, "Don't call me teacher. Now that I've been reincarnated, the past is over."
In this life, I am Xuanming, the Rogue Cultivator you rescued from the Jade Jade Palace. I have a connection with the Holy Sect, hence I have come to seek refuge with them.
He paused, carefully examining Qi Yun, his tone full of emotion. "But you—in just a hundred years, you have grown to this extent."
I was right about him back then.
Qi Yun straightened up, a warm feeling welling up in his eyes. "I will never forget the kindness of my teacher in protecting and guiding me back then."
"What gratitude?" Xuanming shook his head and chuckled. "Back then, I was merely going with the flow. Your success today is entirely due to your own Creation."
However----"
Before he could finish speaking, a streak of Flowing Light suddenly broke through the clouds in the distance, moving at an extremely fast speed. In an instant, it reached the sky above the Green Mountain Daoist Temple, then withdrew its light and transformed into a figure, landing on the other side of the stone steps.
The newcomer was dressed in the robes of the Holy Sect Law Enforcement Elder, with a solemn expression; he was none other than True Person Qianxin.
His expression was solemn as he strode up the stone steps, Qi Yun, and said in a low but clear voice, "Sect Leader, envoys from three sects have arrived at the mountain gate at the same time— Azure Sect, Phoenix Helm, Yellow Springs Netherworld."
They all said they were acting on the True Lord's orders to deliver an important message, and were currently waiting in the main hall.
Qi Yun's gaze narrowed slightly.
The three sects of the Northwest simultaneously dispatched envoys, all carrying out the decree of the True Lord.
With a slight frown, Qi Yun nodded slightly to True Person Qianxin: "Understood."
He then turned to Xuanming and said in a gentle tone, "Teacher, we'll talk about today's events later."
"Martial Uncle Qianxin will take you to settle in; please get some rest."
Xuanming was no ordinary person. Although his memories had only returned after his reincarnation, his past life experiences remained. Upon hearing this, he immediately realized the gravity of the situation and nodded, "The important matter is paramount. You may go."
2
"Teacher?"
True Person Qianxin glanced at Xuanming in surprise, paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "So it's Senior Brother Deng! You're finally back."
"Just now, Qianxin addressed you as the Sect Leader?" Looking at Qi Yun, Xuanming's eyes were full of confusion. "You are now—the Sect Leader of the Holy Sect?"
Upon hearing this, True Person Qianxin couldn't help but chuckle, "Senior Brother Deng, Senior Brother Qi is indeed the current Vice Sect Leader of this sect. Senior Brother Black Mountain is in seclusion reflecting on his mistakes, and all affairs within the sect are now being handled by Senior Brother Qi."
Xuanming was completely stunned.
Deputy Head Coach?
Acting as head of the entire clan?
He had only been reincarnated for a hundred years. Although he knew that Qi Yun was no ordinary person, he never expected that in just a hundred years, this former Registered Disciple would have ascended to the pinnacle of power as the leader of the Northwest Demonic Path!
He opened his mouth as if to say something, but ultimately let out a complex chuckle, "It's truly... unbelievable."
0
True Person Qianxin chuckled and stroked his short beard, "Indeed. The intricacies involved cannot be fully explained in just a few words."
Now that my senior brother has returned to the sect, there will be plenty of time to discuss this in detail later.
"Come with me to the temple to settle in first."
Xuanming then calmed the turmoil in his heart, nodded, and followed True Person Qianxin down the mountain.
After walking more than ten steps, he couldn't help but look back again.
At the end of the stone steps, the figure in deep blue still stood silently.
The waning moonlight fell upon his shoulders, making his demeanor appear even more serene and profound, as if he had completely merged with the night, the green mountain, and the destiny of this sect.
The last trace of confusion in Xuanming 'Mingxin finally dissipated completely.
He knew that the boy who needed his secret protection and careful guidance was long gone.
Standing atop the mountain now is Qi Yun, the Vice Sect Master of the Wuji Sacred Sect, who wields power over a region of demonic forces and is capable of stirring up the Xuanhuang.
He withdrew his gaze and followed True Person Qianxin into the pine shadows at the foot of the mountain.
On the stone steps, Qi Yun watched the two leave, the warmth in his eyes gradually fading.
He straightened his sleeves, turned around, and slowly walked towards the main hall of the ancestral temple.
His steps were unhurried, yet each step seemed to tread upon the very veins of the sect's destiny.
In the Great Void Mirror Heaven, within the Great Void Hall, the lights were bright.
Three figures stood in the hall, each with a distinct aura, yet all possessing an unfathomable depth.
The man on the left, dressed in a green robe and carrying a sword, had a clear and sharp face, and the faint sound of swords echoed around him. He was none other than Ling Xuzi, the sword-wielding Lingxuzi of the Azure Sect.
The person on the right, with red hair and red eyes, was as tall and strong as a mountain. He wore Phoenix Helm Blazing Radiance Hall Zhu Yun Phoenix Helm.
The figure in the middle, shrouded in gray mist, was hunched over, with Yellow Springs Netherworld Talisman at his waist. A chilling and deathly aura permeated the surroundings. This was none other than the Yellow Springs Netherworld Minggu, Ming Gu.
The three envoys arrived at the same time.
And they all said they were "acting on the orders of the True Lord".
Qi Yun entered the main hall, calmly took his seat in the main seat, and with a smile raised his hand as he glanced at the three people, "Fellow Daoists, you have come from afar. You must be tired. Please have a seat."
Lingxuzi stepped forward first, cupped his hands in a salute, and spoke in a clear, resonant voice. "Ling Lingxuzi of the Azure Sect, here to pay my respects to Sect Leader Qi the True Lord Tongming."
Zhu Yun's voice boomed. "Zhu Yun of the Phoenix Helm Cauldron, by order of True Lord Tianrong, has an important matter to report!"
The Minggu slowly raised its head, two eerie green lights flickering in the gray mist, its voice hoarse like an owl's. "Minggu of the Yellow Springs Netherworld, by the order of the Nine Nethers True Lord —I have come to ask a question."
The three sentences were uttered almost simultaneously.
The air in the hall suddenly froze.
Qi Yun's smile remained unchanged; he merely nodded slightly. "Fellow Daoists, please speak slowly."
He raised his hand, gesturing for the disciples to serve him tea.
The aroma of tea rose gently, but it couldn't mask the subtle tension in the air.
The winds of war in the Northwest seem poised to rise again tonight.
