Huo Yuhao entered Shrek Academy while secretly building the Shadow Garden and drawing Tang Ya, Jiang Nannan, and Zhang Lexuan into its plans. The Garden attacked Sea God Island, and Huo Yuhao fought Mu En as Mu En transformed into the Golden Sacred Dragon.
Huo Yuhao destroyed the Golden Ancient Tree and Sea God Island, then took on Xuan Zi’s appearance as Shrek struggled to recover. Back in class, he formed a team with Wang Dong’er and Xiao Xiao, whose growing closeness and Soul Power fusion complicated their freshman assessments.
Huo Yuhao, Wang Dong'er, and Xiao Xiao won the freshman assessment after Dai Huabin transformed into a blood tiger, while Wang Dong'er and Xiao Xiao competed over Huo Yuhao. Huo Yuhao later traveled north with Tang Ya and Jiang Nannan and sheltered with Shu Lingyu and Shu Lingxue, whose home was invaded by men demanding tribute.
Huo Yuhao rescued Shu Lingyu and Shu Lingxue from Slaughter City, revived Qian Renxue, and led Tang Ya and Jiang Nannan into the Far North. After defeating the Titan Snow Demon King, he revived the Ice Empress and left her with the Snow Empress Embryo under the name Xu Bing'er.
Huo Yuhao revived Qian Renxue, returned to Shrek Academy, and became entangled in the academy’s assessments and response to Dai Huabin’s escape. As Shrek prepared a tournament selection, Huo Yuhao entered the maze battle royale and realized Zhang Lexuan was directing him toward its center.
Huo Yuhao joined the Shrek team to rescue Xiao Xiao and Wang Dong'er after Bei Bei and Dai Huabin abducted them. The rescue led to a confrontation with Dragon Emperor Douluo Long Xiaoyao, ending in a spatial explosion that engulfed Huo Yuhao, Tang Ya, Ma Xiaotao, and the others.
Huo Yuhao returned to Star Luo City with Shrek Academy, where the team began the tournament amid personal tensions and political maneuvering. At the Starlight Auction, Shrek entered a fierce bidding contest for a Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear and a rare External Soul Bone, leaving the auction poised for conflict.
Shrek won the tournament, recovered its auction prizes, and survived an ambush by the Body Sect and Holy Spirit Cult. After returning to the academy, Huo Yuhao helped Meng Hongchen join Shadow Garden and guided his companions as they gained powerful Soul Rings in the Star Dou Great Forest.
Huo Yuhao bargained with Gu Yuena and obtained a powerful soul ring before returning to Shrek, where he intercepted Vina's secret report. He then supported Zhou Yi through her divorce and accompanied her to confront Fan Yu, saving her when Mu Jin shoved her toward a sharp Soul Tool.
A Body Sect assault on Shrek was repelled as Zhang Lexuan revealed her strength and Vina escaped the forced marriage. Huo Yuhao then left for the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy as an exchange student, leaving his friends behind.
Huo Yuhao entered the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy, impressed Xuan Ziwen with his engineering skill, and secretly aided Ju Zi’s work against the Holy Spirit Cult. After helping Ju Zi and Ke Ke hunt for his Fourth Soul Ring and witnessing Huo Xue’er’s birth, he was lured to a black-market competition venue, where Xu Tianran confronted him.
Huo Yuhao helped Ju Zi and the Shadow Garden attack the Illustrious Virtue Hall while Mingdu fell into chaos. After Xu Tianran defeated a rebellion and Ju Zi gained command of the empire’s forces, Huo Yuhao disguised himself as Jing Hongchen, and Ji Juechen challenged him with his new domain.
Huo Yuhao reunited with Wang Dong’er, brought her to Clear Sky Castle, and fought Tang San’s avatar while Wang Dong’er and Wang Qiu’er advanced as Soul Emperors. Back at Shrek, Huo Yuhao reunited with old friends and was assigned to investigate burned Sea Soul Beasts and Ma Xiaotao’s disappearance.
Huo Yuhao and his companions confronted the Evil Soul Master Zhongli Wu, then followed the Mermaid Princess’s plea to rescue her people from a Deity on Fire Island. After Huo Yuhao killed Ma Hongjun, the story left him on a hidden island with the rescued merfolk, asking the Mermaid Princess if she was ready to sacrifice herself.
Huo Yuhao completed the Mermaid Queen’s Soul Spirit transformation as Ma Xiaotao’s arrival drew him into a clash with Tang Hao and Ah Yin, then was pulled into spatial turbulence and stranded on Wandering Star. There he took Yu Qiaoqiao and Chen Qing as disciples, while Dai Mubai and Oscar tracked him to the planet and attacked its underground base.
