Background / History

Before and during the Third Shinobi World War, Fugaku earned the epithet Fierce Eye. As clan head, he pursued the Uchiha Clan's political integration into Konoha through long-term investments: he arranged for Obito to study under Minato Namikaze, placed Yuan under Orochimaru, and encouraged Mikoto's friendship with Kushina. His ultimate hope was for an Uchiha to enter Konoha's core leadership—or become Hokage—through legitimate means. 36 109

After the Nine-Tails Attack, Fugaku struggled to restore the clan's reputation and recover the Military Police Force's authority, which ANBU had assumed. He investigated attacks linked to suspected Root operatives, publicly defended Uchiha casualties before the jōnin, and accepted responsibility for examining the deceased jinchūriki when no evidence tied the clan to the attack. 35 37 38

Personality

Fugaku is a duty-bound clan leader who measures the Uchiha's standing through responsibility, military achievement, and recognition from the village.
