• Shūhei Hisagi bound himself and the bespectacled man with his Bankai’s chains, which restored themselves after the man destroyed them.
• The bespectacled man burned Shūhei Hisagi with Ittō Kasō, but the Bankai made them share the damage and drained both their Spiritual Pressure.
• Shūhei Hisagi explained that his Bankai would continue until both fighters exhausted their Spiritual Pressure, leaving the bespectacled man with no way to escape the fight.

Shinji Hirako fought a woman whose living-type Zanpakuto unleashed a swarm of explosive bees, using his Bankai to make them attack one another before switching to Sakanade. He wounded her by misleading her about whether his Shikai’s spatial inversion was active, then prepared to continue attacking as she struggled to trust her senses.

• Shinji escaped the woman’s blast with Momo Hinamori and identified her Zanpakuto, Hikone, as a powerful living-type weapon.
• Shinji knocked Momo unconscious and activated his Bankai, causing the woman’s bees to attack one another in explosive collisions.
• The woman transformed into a bee-like queen and proved immune to Shinji’s Bankai, so he withdrew it and released Sakanade.

Lilynette’s fight with Shaoling Fon escalated into a Menos Grande Resurrección, prompting Soul Reapers across Seireitei to reveal Hollow-like forms and leaving the attacking captains convinced Menos Grande had taken over.

• Shunsui Kyōraku defeated the short-haired senior, while Shūhei Hisagi admitted his weakness and let Kensei Muguruma finish off the bespectacled man, who vanished into a red Mod Soul Pill.
• Mayuri Kurotsuchi analyzed ten Mod Soul Pills, and Kenpachi Zaraki left the Eleventh Division seeking stronger enemies as the Second Division launched its hunting game.
