"Let's go."

Yang Jian turned and spoke to Zhang Wei and Ye Zhen.

"Wait, Brother Leg." Zhang Wei sat up and rummaged beneath the bed, pulling out a mineral water bottle still half full of pale yellow liquid.

"Brother Leg, this is my virgin boy urine. When we see that female ghost, I'll pour it on her. Even Qian Wanhao's grandpa couldn't withstand it. I refuse to believe this ghost can withstand over a decade of my cultivation."

"Brother Wei, that urine looks like you've got a bit of internal heat."

Ye Zhen had already recovered completely.

"Your virgin boy urine did nothing except get its stink all over me."

Yang Jian opened the door and was the first to step outside.

Since the village chief had asked Zhang Wei to fetch the bride from the mountain behind the village, they would be safe for now as long as they followed his instructions.

Unable to take the marriage document away, Yang Jian could only follow the wedding procedures for now and look for another method afterward.

The three walked along a narrow path toward the mountain behind the village.

The low-hanging sky glimmered with a gloomy light. After rounding a slope, they were greeted by a sinister graveyard.

"Brother Leg, what's that thing?" As Zhang Wei spoke, he opened the mineral water bottle and splashed his virgin boy urine ahead of him.

In the faint, hazy daylight, a large, dark red bridal sedan chair stood silently beside the graveyard. Tattered red cloth hung all over its body, like strips of shrouds soaked in blood.

Beside the bridal sedan chair, the village chief and a crowd of villagers held battered suonas. In their lifeless faces, their hollow, vacant eyes showed not a trace of a living person's spark.

They stood stiffly in place, seemingly waiting for some particular moment.

"Ye Zhen, keep an eye on those people. A Wei, come with me to find your fiancée."

Yang Jian swept his Ghost Eye over the gloomy graveyard. Clearly, the bride the village chief had mentioned was somewhere among these graves.

Ye Zhen was lounging casually against an unmarked gravestone.

"Little Yang, remember this: nobody can order me around."

With that, Ye Zhen picked up his sword and began searching the graveyard.

The graveyard was not particularly large, but the gloomy daylight made it hard for them to see the photographs on the gravestones, making the search very difficult.

"Holy shit! Take my piss!"

Zhang Wei suddenly roared.

In his left hand, he held a shovel he had swiped from somewhere, and in his right, the mineral water bottle. He frantically sprayed the urine inside it over the gravestone before him.

"A Wei, stop."

Yang Jian walked over and examined the gravestone before Zhang Wei.

There was only a yellowed photograph on the gravestone. The woman in it had delicate features with a hint of cool aloofness. She was the very woman who had appeared on Zhang Wei's phone wallpaper earlier.

A rich scarlet spread over the grave mound. Yang Jian intended to use his Ghost Domain to move the bride straight out, but strangely, the Ghost Domain encountered an obstruction. It actually could not penetrate the soil beneath his feet to enter the grave mound.

"This soil... it's very similar to the ghost Feng Quan controls."

"Brother Leg, what are you standing there for? Help me dig! I've still got some virgin boy urine left. Once we dig that female ghost out, I'll pour all of it on her!"

Shovel in hand, Zhang Wei dug hard at the grave mound. The soil, previously so compact that even Yang Jian's Ghost Domain could not invade it, now yielded a deep hole beneath the shovel.

Yang Jian stared at the shovel in Zhang Wei's hands. He could confirm that it was a supernatural item.

"A Wei, let me."

Items tainted by the supernatural often carried extremely dangerous backlash effects. Although Zhang Wei seemed perfectly fine, Yang Jian still took the shovel from him to avoid anything going wrong later.

It felt cold in his hands. An intensely uncomfortable sensation came from the shovel, as though he were gripping a corpse's wrist.

To be safe, Yang Jian concentrated his Ghost Domain over the Ghost Hand, then picked up the shovel and dug into the grave mound.

After only a few strokes, there was a clang!

The shovel seemed to have struck something hard, producing a dull sound.

"Brother Leg! Looks like we've found it!"

Yang Jian said nothing. With the shovel, he peeled away the soil covering the coffin little by little.

An old black coffin gradually came fully into view.

At that very moment, the motionless villagers behind them suddenly moved. In perfect unison, they all raised their suonas, and a low sound rang out. The suonas' pitch was extremely eerie, both piercing and muffled.

At first, the suona music was very faint, but it soon became clamorous and urgent. Then it grew louder and louder, and amid the music, the scarlet Ghost Domain actually began to ripple slightly.

Yang Jian merely glanced at the crowd before pressing the Ghost Hand against the coffin lid and forcibly lifting it open.

Thud! The instant the lid lifted, the Ghost Eye squeezed shut. Immediately afterward, the scarlet Ghost Domain rapidly receded into his body like an ebbing tide.

The Ghost Eye had actually been suppressed. It did not even dare look inside the coffin.

Yang Jian reacted quickly, without the slightest hesitation. The pitch-black Ghost Shadow abruptly rose and swiftly spread into the coffin.

"Empty...?"

The deathly black interior of the coffin was completely empty.

A streak of dark red flashed at the edge of his vision, and Yang Jian looked toward it.

A horrifying dark red figure was sprawled across Zhang Wei's back!

It was a female corpse wearing a red bridal veil emblazoned with a large "double happiness" character. The scarlet wedding dress on her body looked as though it was about to drip blood. Beneath two broad red sleeves, a pair of withered hands clamped tightly onto Zhang Wei's shoulders.

The lifeless female corpse clung tightly to Zhang Wei's back, as though he were carrying her.

Almost instinctively, without turning his head, Yang Jian raised the shovel with the Ghost Hand and smashed it down hard.

Smack! The collision between the corpse and the shovel produced a dull thud, nothing like the sound of striking with iron. Instead, it sounded like two corpses crashing violently into each other.

The collision produced a tremendous recoil. The force shook Yang Jian's entire body, and even the Ghost Hand could not hold on to the shovel. With a clang!, it flew from his grasp and fell to the ground.

Only then did Zhang Wei react and look behind him. "Holy shit! A Zhen!"

"Brother Leg! My feet are moving on their own!"

Zhang Wei's feet would not obey him at all. As though controlled by the female corpse behind him, his legs moved stiffly, carrying him toward the bridal sedan chair in the center of the graveyard.

At that moment, Zhang Wei's body was slowly turning deathly pale. Dark red corpse spots appeared on his skin at a speed visible to the naked eye.

The urgent suona music around them grew louder and louder, reverberating madly through the graveyard. The eerie music restricted Yang Jian. Without his Ghost Domain, he could not move at all and was pinned firmly in place.

"Brother Leg! Why do you keep staring at my ass? Get A Zhen off me!"

The dark red bridal veil partially concealed most of the female corpse's face. From Yang Jian's angle, a pair of deathly still, horrifying eyes were staring at him.

Merely under that gaze, without even making contact, Yang Jian shuddered all over. His eyes gradually lost focus, and his skin rapidly shriveled, leaving him like a dehydrated mummy.

Already trembling from the shovel's recoil, Yang Jian now came under the female corpse's attack. His body actually began rapidly losing the signs of a living person. Then his head tipped back, and he toppled backward, stiff as a board.
