Defeat and Transmigration

Fearing both his own fate and the consequences for Zhu Zhuyun, the original prince drank poisoned wine. Li Wei then awakened in his body, inheriting his memories and lingering despair. Reversal at Court

At Chengtian Hall, Prince Cheng Dai Tianfeng and thirty-six ministers petitioned to replace Dai Weisi with Dai Mubai. Dai Weisi refused to kneel and repudiated his father’s authority over him, prompting the emperor to strip his princely status and order lifelong confinement in the northern cold palace. His defiance was calculated to provoke another high-reward system choice 3.

He reversed the situation by revealing his evolved Martial Soul, five Soul Rings, and three Immortal Herbs. Shi Mo’s intervention against the emperor’s Soul Power demonstrated that he also possessed Titled Douluo protection. Offered one month to defeat Dai Mubai and recover his inheritance rights, Dai Weisi shortened the deadline to seven days 4 5 6.

Rescuing Zhu Zhuyun

After strengthening himself with the Singular Velvet Sky Chrysanthemum, Dai Weisi went to the Zhu residence. Zhu Zhuyun’s mother and second aunt were pressuring her to abandon him and marry Dai Mubai. He rejected both endurance and persuasion in favor of force, taking Zhu Zhuyun with him despite their resistance 7 8.

Grand Marshal Zhu Xiaotian subsequently pledged the Zhu Family’s full support. Back at his palace, Dai Weisi reassured Zhu Zhuyun and gave her Narcissus Jade Muscle Bone, enabling her to reach level fifty before their rematch 9 10 11.

Succession Victory

The succession duel took place before the emperor, imperial clan, and officials. Dai Weisi proposed exchanging attacks without using Soul Ring power. He endured Dai Mubai’s strongest attack unharmed through his torso bone’s defense, then retaliated with his offensive palm-bone ability 14 15 16 17.

When Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing launched a sudden Hell White Tiger fusion attack, Dai Weisi initially stopped its claws with his own arms after its strike shattered his layered barriers. He ultimately won the contest, and the emperor appointed him Crown Prince with authority to govern the realm 19 21.

Dai Weisi chose prolonged humiliation over either pardoning or killing Dai Mubai, imprisoning him in the dungeon’s lowest level. The emperor privately promised to transfer the throne within a year, citing threats from Spirit Hall and Heaven Dou. Dai Weisi then used Dai Mubai’s captivity to coerce Zhu Zhuqing into accepting a proposed position as his secondary consort 21 22.

Sunset Forest and Dugu Bo

After obtaining his sixth Soul Ring and reaching level seventy, Dai Weisi entered Sunset Forest with the Zhu sisters. An ambush by a Soul Sage, two Soul Emperors, and four Soul Kings ended with all seven attackers dead. He attributed the assassination to Spirit Hall, reasoning that their knowledge was limited to abilities he had publicly displayed during the succession duel; this remained his deduction rather than confirmed evidence 24 25 26 27.

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Zhu Zhuqing attempted to enlist Dugu Bo against him. With Shi Mo protecting him, Dai Weisi demanded Dugu Bo’s submission. He secured it by offering Netherworld Crimson Refinement Grass to cure Dugu Bo’s poison and evolve his Martial Soul, secretly reinforcing the agreement with a soul contract 28 29 30 32.

He then absorbed a hundred-thousand-year wisdom skull and completed ice-and-fire body tempering before seeking his seventh Soul Ring 34 35.

Star Dou Great Forest

Dai Weisi ordered Dugu Bo to enter the forest’s Core Circle openly in Martial Soul Avatar form, deliberately drawing out powerful Soul Beasts. During the confrontation with Xiao Wu and the Titan Giant Ape, he publicly assaulted and humiliated Zhu Zhuqing to provoke them, then began absorbing a God-Given Soul Ring under Shi Mo’s protection. Its absorption brought him to level seventy-four 37 39 40.

He pursued the retreating Titan Giant Ape toward the Lake of Life and gained another system guardian, the level ninety-five Xiong Jin. After a subsequent clash injured his group and the two forest guardians, he rejected a dangerous further pursuit in exchange for Soul Ring enhancement. He instead ordered Dugu Bo to locate a Dark Demon Evil God Tiger 41 43 44.

Dai Weisi treats strength as the foundation of political authority. His apparent recklessness at court is deliberate: he understands Star Luo’s preference for force and uses confrontation to obtain system rewards, display his resources, and turn undecided officials toward him 3 5 11.

He is protective and affectionate toward Zhu Zhuyun, rescuing her from her family and investing rare resources in her growth. That tenderness contrasts with his treatment of opponents: he prefers Dai Mubai’s prolonged despair to a quick death and coerces Zhu Zhuqing through threats, captivity, and public humiliation 8 10 21 22 39.

Although confident and provocative, he is not indiscriminately reckless. He strengthens his body before absorbing a hundred-thousand-year ring, delays claiming fixed level rewards to maximize their value, and refuses a pursuit when its risks outweigh the offered reward 23 24 44.
