In Tyr's Tomb, the clash of weapons, the screams of Warriors, and the roars of monsters formed a brutal battle.

"Whew, what do we do? He's too strong. We can't get close to him," Apophis said, jumping out of the way of a Shadow Bolt.

"I don't have any good ideas either! All we can do now is wait for the soldiers to deal with all the lesser enemies, then face him together," Jarod replied, dodging a blow from the spiked club.

"I'll hold him off. Hurry and help the soldiers deal with the lesser enemies." The weapon in Jarod's hand clashed with the spiked club.

Clang! Sparks flew as the weapons collided.

Seeing Jarod locked in combat with the high-ranking Faceless One, Apophis immediately went to help the soldiers. The value of time was especially apparent at this moment.

Apophis leaped over to the nearest soldier and swung his blade, cleaving the Faceless One apart.

"Stay alert. You only have one life." Apophis pulled the fallen elven soldier to his feet.

"Thank you. I thought I was going to die," the elven soldier said.

"Save your thanks for later. Protect yourself and kill more enemies." Apophis swept his blade sideways, cutting several lesser enemies in half at the waist.

The mages cast a wide-area freezing spell, freezing many Faceless Ones. When the Shamans saw the enemies frozen, they quickly used Chain Lightning. The powerful lightning shattered the frozen Faceless Ones.

"All right! That's it, wipe them out!" Apophis was delighted to see the casters' successful attack, and he leaped deep into the Faceless Ones' army.

Seeing easy credit delivered to their doorstep, the Faceless Ones quickly swarmed toward him.

As more and more Faceless Ones approached, the corners of Apophis's mouth curved slightly upward.

He began to spin, his powerful weapon moving with him at high speed. Apophis unleashed Bladestorm, which swept every Faceless One that approached him into it like a meat grinder.

Like a hot knife through butter, it shredded the Faceless Ones caught in it. The enemies' blood coated Apophis, but his eyes were full of frenzy.

"Kill them all! End this battle! For Tyr!" Apophis shouted, then charged the Faceless Ones' army.

Moved by Apophis's actions, the allied forces also fought hard to kill their enemies.

The Shamans also cast Bloodlust to strengthen the soldiers.

The mages cast freezing spells to freeze the enemies, working in concert with the other soldiers.

Though the allied forces were vastly outnumbered by the Faceless Ones, they had them on the defensive.

"Whew." Jarod did his best to evade the high-ranking Faceless One's attacks while leaving wounds on him.

"You cannot defeat me. Joining the Old Gods and serving the darkness is your only way out." The Faceless One's whisper sounded in Jarod's ear.

Thud! Distracted by the whisper, Jarod left an opening. The high-ranking Faceless One seized it and sent him flying.

"I will not submit to you." Jarod got up from the ground.

Arcane energy manifested on the blade. Jarod used Blink to appear behind the high-ranking Faceless One and struck his foot with the weapon in his hand.

The powerful Arcane force combined with the weapon's sharp edge to open a huge wound on the Faceless One's back, and momentum sent him crashing to the ground.

Just as Jarod was about to finish him off, the Faceless One cast a shadow spell at the approaching Jarod. The powerful spell left Jarod with no choice but to dodge.

That gave the Faceless One a chance to catch his breath. He seized it and launched a fierce attack on Jarod.

"You rejected the shadow's embrace, so die!" The Faceless One swung his spiked club, his attacks coming in waves, each fiercer than the last. Jarod could only defend himself.

At last, Jarod was knocked down. The pain in his body kept him from getting up again. As he watched the Faceless One draw closer, Jarod gradually fell into despair.

He thought that he was about to die here.

"Young warrior, do not give up. This is not the end. You must believe in your companions and in yourself."

A voice sounded in Jarod's ear. But he gave it no further thought, because the Faceless One had already reached him.

The Faceless One raised his arm to bring the spiked club down on Jarod. Jarod closed his eyes and waited for death.

Thud! The Faceless One's weapon came crashing down. After waiting a long time without feeling any pain, Jarod opened his eyes and saw that Apophis had blocked the descending blade.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Several Frostbolts shot toward the high-ranking Faceless One, freezing him.

Several streams of golden energy entered Jarod's body without anyone noticing and healed him.

Feeling his body recover, Jarod seized the chance to pick up his weapon and stand. Seeing that the Faceless One was about to break free, he cut off his head with one stroke.

Seeing the high-ranking Faceless One killed, the allied forces cheered, celebrating their hard-won victory.

"Casters, use fire spells to clear a clean area for our Warriors to rest."

The Shamans and mages cast fire spells, clearing a clean area.

The soldiers began gathering their fallen comrades' remains and sealing them inside storage crystals, so they could easily take them home and bury them there.

Once they had finished gathering the remains, the allied forces rested where they were to recover their strength.

Jarod sat off to one side, wondering who had helped him when he was helpless.

"Hey, have something to eat," Apophis called to Jarod, then tossed him some food and water.

Thanks to Jarod's keen senses, he caught the food and water Apophis had tossed him without trouble.

"Why aren't you happy? We've won," Apophis said as he ate some dried meat.

"Not yet. We've only just entered the tomb's antechamber. Beyond the door should be the Old Gods' minions Tyr killed back then." Jarod took a bite of his rations, then gulped down some water.

"Don't worry. As long as we stand united, we can definitely complete the mission."

"How are the casualties?" Jarod asked, eating his rations in large mouthfuls.

"Three dead, five wounded."

"Have the wounded take the sealing crystals back to the surface. They won't take part in the fighting ahead."

"Mm, I'll tell them." Apophis went to tell the wounded to leave.

Sitting there alone, Jarod tried to communicate with the voice that had helped him, hoping for a response, but got no result.

Seeing this, Jarod did not persist and instead went to check on the Warriors.

But where he could not see it, a golden apparition was watching him. The golden energy surrounding him was exactly like the energy that had helped Jarod.

After a while, the allied forces sent off the wounded and finished resting. They gathered in front of the main burial chamber's door, ready for the final battle.
