Faledor's New Neighbor
Brilliant light radiated from the Silver Hand, and the guards stationed around Faledor came running over.
The remaining guards drove the elves nearby away. Soon, only the guards, Jarod, Naisha, and Faledor at the center remained.
"Speak! What are you trying to do to Faledor?" The captain of the guards drew his weapon and pointed it at Jarod and Maiev, who were utterly bewildered.
The other guards followed their captain's orders and surrounded the area so tightly that no one could get through. The warriors in front had already drawn their weapons, while the spellcasters behind them began preparing spells. At the slightest sign of anything amiss from Jarod and Naisha, they would attack.
"I'm Jarod Shadowsong, and this is Naisha. Neither of us meant to hurt Faledor!"
Seeing the furious guards around him, Jarod hurriedly identified himself, hoping they would stop treating him with such hostility.
"I don't care who you are! His Majesty Snyder ordered us to keep Faledor safe, even at the cost of our lives. Now both of you, back away and stay away from Faledor!"
The guard captain roared. He didn't dare take the risk; he knew better than anyone how important Faledor was to the Eternal Elves. Because he knew that, he feared no one, no matter how powerful. As far as he was concerned, if anyone tried to hurt Faledor, he would fight them to the death.
"All right, all right, we'll back away." Jarod understood the guards and their duty, so he pulled Naisha away, leaving a safe distance between them and Faledor.
But Tyr's apparition had other ideas. It was drawn to Faledor and the water of the Well of Eternity.
He emerged from the Silver Hand and drifted toward Faledor.
"Stop! I order you to stop!" The guard captain bristled the moment he saw Tyr's apparition moving closer and closer to Faledor.
The guards behind him, who had begun to relax, tensed up again.
"Spellcasters, cast your capture spells! Seize him!" the guard captain ordered. The spellcasters behind him cast their capture spells the moment they received the order.
The capture spells quickly reached Tyr's apparition, but they had no effect.
Under everyone's gaze, Tyr's apparition approached Faledor. When Faledor saw it, he did nothing drastic.
Instead, he reached out with a large hand made of wood and touched him.
"Hello, stranger. Do you need some help?" Faledor began by showing his goodwill.
"Hello, blessed plant. I am a part of Tyr's soul. I was drawn here by the water of the Well of Eternity beside you."
"Hello, Tyr. Can you tell me about yourself? And why were you drawn to the water of the Well of Eternity?"
"After the main soul dissipated, I survived by residing in the Silver Hand," Tyr's remnant soul said. Everyone looked at the Silver Hand in Jarod's hand.
"I am a keeper created by the Titans to protect Azeroth." Tyr's remnant soul told everyone all about himself.
"The energy in the Well of Eternity drew me here, so I came out of the Silver Hand. I mean you no harm."
"Then please return to the Silver Hand. You are not welcome here," the guard captain said.
"My duty is to protect Faledor. No unstable factors can be allowed to remain." As the guard captain said this, he looked at Jarod and Naisha, intending to warn them that he was in charge here.
"There's no need to worry, Captain. I haven't sensed any ill intent from him," Faledor explained to the guard captain.
"But keeping you safe is my duty." The guard captain would not agree without first making sure Tyr's remnant soul was safe.
While the two sides were arguing, a figure teleported between them.
The figure was Snyder, who had just hurried back. When Snyder sensed a change around Faledor, he had ended his cultivation.
After hastily bidding the Will of Azeroth farewell, he had rushed back.
"Greetings, Your Majesty Snyder!" The Eternal Elves around them all bowed to Snyder.
"Greetings, my creator," Faledor said to Snyder as well.
"What happened here? I need to know everything that happened." Snyder looked at the Eternal Elves around him as he asked.
"Your Majesty, allow me to explain everything that happened here." Jarod bowed to Snyder, then began recounting everything that had happened.
As Snyder listened to Jarod's account, he formed a plan.
"So you're the source of this trouble?" Snyder walked up to Tyr's remnant soul and spoke.
"I mean no harm, nor did I intend to cause an argument among you. I only appeared because I was drawn here."
"What happens if you remain outside for a long time?"
"I'll slowly dissipate. I'm only a wisp of a remnant soul residing in the Silver Hand."
"I can help you survive, but I have one condition."
"Oh? Go ahead."
"You need to stay here and keep Faledor company. He was only just born and needs an experienced elder to broaden his knowledge."
"You're a Titan Keeper. I believe you're up to the task."
"Of course. I'd be very willing. My knowledge and experience are all I have left now. How can you help me survive?"
"It's simple. I just need to make you a new body," Snyder said casually.
"Simple? Although I'm a wisp of a remnant soul, I'm still a soul. Matters involving souls can't be simple, can they?" Tyr's remnant soul asked.
"Don't worry. Just trust me." Snyder answered with ease, and he had a reason for his confidence. Shamans could communicate with souls. Matters involving souls might seem troublesome to others, but to Snyder, they were simple.
Snyder began casting a spell. He planned to use the power of the elements to create a new body for Tyr's remnant soul.
Snyder used an elemental spell to draw up some water from the Well of Eternity, and Faledor contributed a section of one of his own branches to help Tyr.
Under Snyder's control, the spell produced a brand-new body before everyone.
Since Snyder had never seen what Tyr looked like, he simply fashioned the body in the likeness of an Eternal Elf.
"All right, you can go in and try it out. See if it suits you," Snyder said to Tyr's remnant soul after finishing the spell.
Tyr's remnant soul entered the new body, willing to give it a try.
Everyone watched the wooden elf, observing the changes in him.
After a while, the wooden elf opened his eyes.
"Thank you for your help. This body feels very comfortable." Having obtained a new body, Tyr bowed to Snyder in thanks.
"Mm. Stay here and keep Faledor company."
"Guard captain, Jarod, come here. I have something to discuss with you." With that, Snyder walked away.
