"Dr. Velvie, the Fifth Herrscher Core you requested has arrived. Please receive it."
A few hours later, several logistics personnel arrived at Velvie's Spiral Workshop carrying a box.
Velvie took the box from them.
She immediately went to the latest android she had created, opened the section around its chest, and embedded the Fifth Herrscher Core inside.
Once everything was done, she sealed it back up.
"Prometheus, transfer the auxiliary AI. Activate Skadi."
"As you command, Dr. Velvie."
As soon as she spoke, Prometheus used the authority of a Herrscher to materialize several data cables.
As the data continued to transfer, Skadi, the second android and the second artificial Herrscher, slowly opened her eyes.
Her long hair cascaded like a waterfall, and her eyes were crimson red, but her expression was somewhat vacant.
"Prometheus, did you mess up the AI during the transfer?"
Looking at Skadi's blank stare, Velvie had every reason to suspect that something had gone wrong with the AI.
This AI had clearly been made using Prometheus as a template, only with more emotional modules added.
So why did she look so foolish?
"I... don't know either. But theoretically speaking, there wasn't the slightest error in the procedure. I haven't received any feedback here either, so there shouldn't be a problem."
Seeing Skadi's vacant gaze, the floating Prometheus found it hard to believe for a moment.
"...Dr. Velvie, and Sister Prometheus?"
Finally snapping out of it, Skadi greeted them with clear, limpid eyes.
Her gaze looked as though it had not been touched by even the slightest bit of knowledge.
"...Skadi, do you know how to use the authority of the Fifth Herrscher? Show us."
The best way to prove that Skadi was fine was to have her demonstrate the Fifth Herrscher's authority.
