After having her identity arranged, Skadi happily hugged a doll materialized by Prometheus and walked out of the Spiral Workshop.
"Dr. Velvie, is this really okay? Her personality feels a lot like a child's."
Glancing at Velvie beside her, Prometheus asked in some confusion.
When she had first created this AI, she had asked Velvie more than once why she had given it so much humanity—or rather, such extensive emotional modules.
"It's fine. After all, I have to consider your futures too."
Velvie understood the ugliness of human nature all too well. While Honkai existed, any high-end combat force capable of resisting it would be embraced.
But once Honkai had been defeated, powers that surpassed anything humanity could defend against would be rejected by all humankind.
If they remained like cold machines, then even if the Herrscher cores were completely buried afterward, humanity would still destroy them.
But if humanity came first, if they thoroughly integrated into the crowd, then afterward, they would be accepted by humanity.
"I don't understand, but since it is Dr. Velvie's choice, I will naturally respect it."
Prometheus still did not understand why Velvie wanted to do this, but she did not continue asking.
She believed Velvie must have had her own reasons.
"You really are considerate, unlike that Skadi. She really is like a child."
After rubbing Prometheus's head, Velvie turned back to look through and match some of the latest Honkai Beast DNA.
Right now, she was only somewhat stronger than an ordinary person. If she wanted to become more powerful, or gain more energy to devote to research, then becoming a Fusion Warrior was essential.
"I hope one of these new Honkai Beasts will be compatible with me."
