The Ghost Eye Grotto of the Netherworld.
Located at the southernmost tip of the Netherworld Continent, the entire Ghost Eye Grotto is an enormous oval-shaped depression situated in the center of a desert. Under the scorching sun, the quicksand is blocked by some strange force, making it impossible to fill this depression.
At the very center and deepest part of the Ghost Eye Grotto lies the Netherworld Teleportation Array established by the Overgod of Death.
The Netherworld has only two teleportation arrays, and the surrounding guards are led by the Sovereign's Emissary, who are also the Sovereign of Death. Today is just an ordinary day.
A spatial fluctuation occurred, and yet another figure appeared.
"Highgod?" the surrounding guards exclaimed in surprise.
Jason opened his eyes and scanned his surroundings. "Damn it, it's the Ghost Eye Grotto to the south."
Without lingering, Jason nodded to the surrounding guards, ignoring their sighs, and flew diagonally northward.
"It's a bit dangerous for me to fly there alone, especially since the Divine Power I've accumulated doesn't allow me to travel long distances. I feel it's better to take on a mission to the Northbone Prefecture." Jason looked at the map in his hand, feeling troubled.
With Jason's current strength, if he flies at full speed, the rate at which he absorbs and consumes Divine Power power is roughly equal. However, battles are inevitable along the way, and if he flies all the way like this, his Divine Power will definitely be insufficient. As for using Metallic Airship to travel, it would be better to find a city to accept a mission and follow the main force.
Moreover, it's time for Jason to take a trip to the Netherworld.
The Netherworld Continent, the Skyreach Prefecture, Yama City.
Jason wiped out a small group of bandits before entering the city and stole some Nether Stone; otherwise, he wouldn't have even had the entrance fee.
Jason entered the Fiend Castle directly and said to the receptionist, "Hello, some of my clones have gotten separated. I'd like to get an extra Fiend Medallion."
"Name, city where you first applied for the Fiend Medallion, Fiend Rank," the receptionist, a young man, asked without looking up.
"Jason Rhein, a demon who participated in the Fiend assessment in Falling Rain City of the Northbone Prefecture, is now Two-Star Fiend."
The receptionist looked up at Jason, somewhat surprised that the Highgod- Fiend in front of him was only a two-star being, but did not ask any further questions.
"Wait a moment, I'll go check." The man went into a room behind the house.
A moment later, the young man approached with a Fiend Medallion: "A drop of blood."
Jason did as instructed, and the blood flowed into it without any hindrance.
The Fiend Castle in the Netherworld communicate using a large magic circle, and this badge is essentially Interspatial Ring imbued with Jason's aura, only reacting to corresponding blood.
"Okay, no problem. Do you need to accept a quest?"
Jason nodded. "I need to go north, preferably on a relatively safe mission."
The receptionist nodded, thinking, "He's probably a recently ascended Highgod; I wonder if it was an independent breakthrough or a refined divine Divine Spark."
However, he didn't show any emotion, but simply pointed to a few pages in the Divine Artifact's file. "These pages are all escort missions. The goods are clearly identified, their value is average, and the departure times are all within the next few days."
Jason casually browsed through the list and found a quest called "Escorting the Azure Light Soul Pearl".
"Soul Pearl? Is it something like Soul Gold Bead?" Jason examined it carefully. The group wasn't large, so it shouldn't be dangerous.
"Let's choose this one."
The employer is a female Highgod, whose aura suggests she is a sea Deity-level.
The entire team consists of four Highgod, including Jason and the mercenary, and fifteen Midgod; the other two Highgod are Four Star Fiend, while Jason joins the team as Two-Star Fiend.
The entire team did not involve any star-level promotions, the journey was smooth, and Jason waited in the city for three days before setting off. This pleased Jason greatly.
Jason was discussing with Feiliya, the caravan leader, about buying some of the Soul Pearl she was transporting.
"To be honest, the Soul Pearl produced by our family are comparable to standard Soul Gold Bead in terms of soul content, but their absorption rate is very low, even lower than the ' Netherworld River Water ' commonly found in various cities."
Feiliya had previously heard Jason say that he came from the northern part of the Netherworld Continent, and assumed that he was unaware of the properties of the Soul Pearl, so she specifically reminded him.
Jason had inquired about the characteristics of the Soul Pearl before coming to find Feiliya.
Soul Pearl are common in several prefectures along the southern coast of the Netherworld. They are a common product of the southern ocean of the Netherworld, and most of the Midgod Fiend traveling with us have used them.
Because of its slow absorption rate, the price of Soul Pearl has always been very low, costing only one thousand Nether Stone, equivalent to a Midgod Artifact.
Users are generally Lowgod, or families that buy them to supply newly born Saint-level; of course, there are also some powerful individuals who cultivate the Edicts of Death and have the ability to quickly refine Soul Pearl into Soul Gold Bead to earn the price difference.
This time, Feiliya was carrying a batch of Soul Pearl to Azure Cloud Prefecture in the central part of the Netherworld Continent. There was a powerful expert there who could quickly refine Soul Pearl, and he had long cooperated with Feiliya's family.
Because the price of Soul Pearl was relatively low, and the trading partner was a powerful individual, even though the total amount of goods was large, only Feiliya hired a dozen or so Fiend to escort them.
Jason simply claimed that he had only recently broken through to the next level and needed to replenish his soul, so he didn't mind if the absorption rate was a little slow.
Feiliya nodded in agreement. "I brought quite a lot of Soul Pearl this time, so selling you some is no problem. How many would you like to buy?"
Jason said, "To be honest, I don't have many Nether Stone. How about I exchange them for this Highgod Artifact?"
Jason pulled out the soft metal armor from the body of Erwin he had killed earlier.
"This defensive Highgod Artifact is of average quality. If it were sold in the city, it would probably fetch around 3.3 million. But since we happen to have a relative in our family who cultivates the Earth Element, how about I give you the equivalent of 3.5 million?"
Feiliya quite liked bartering, since a significant portion of the price was taken from buying and selling goods in the Netherworld city.
"Okay." Jason thought to himself, "I initially thought this Divine Artifact was of rather poor quality, but it seems I set my standards too high because of the Mystic Ice Sword and other Divine Artifact I already possess."
Feiliya took out a Interspatial Ring and began counting the Soul Pearl in front of Jason: "Three thousand five hundred Soul Pearl, please accept them."
As Jason was taking inventory, Feiliya reminded him, "You've bought so much at once; it'll probably take a thousand years to absorb it all."
"It's alright, I also have a family. I'll give it to the younger generation of the Saint-level when I get back to my family," Jason offered a pre-prepared excuse.
He actually wanted to buy more, but fearing that others would become suspicious, he only used one of the Divine Artifact to make the purchase.
The entire Metallic Airship carried only nineteen people; its small size and light load naturally allowed it to travel at high speed.
Back in his room, Jason took out a Soul Pearl. Using the black Soul Defense Divine Artifact in his hand, the Soul Pearl instantly transformed into golden soul threads, which converged into Jason's spherical soul.
"It works well," Jason thought. "Thanks to this Soul Defense Divine Artifact, I should give it a name too."
After some thought, let's call it "Ink Soul"!
