Returning to Skyfall City

There should only be one wave of people chasing Naya. The fact that they sent Six-Star Fiend to track down a Midgod shows that they take her very seriously.

They flew northwest towards Skyfall City.

"It seems the situation in Bone Dragon Prefecture has calmed down recently." Jason passed through three cities along the way. The flow of people in the cities had basically returned to normal, and there were very few large-scale bandits led by Highgod outside the cities—small-scale bandits were of course everywhere.

After passing the third city and entering the territory of Skyfall City, the atmosphere of siege intensified.

First, there are small groups of bandits roaming the outskirts, mostly Midgod, whose density is much higher than in other areas.

Jason, unwilling to get entangled with them, directly increased the altitude of the Metallic Airship. This top-grade Metallic Airship, purchased at a high price, had a maximum flight altitude higher than that of an average Midgod, although it would fly relatively slowly at this altitude.

After flying for three days, Jason was stopped by a team of five people, and the leader, a Highgod, shouted at him.

"We are soldiers of the Bone Dragon Prefecture. Skyfall City has recently been plagued by bandits. The Prefecture Lord has instructed us to persuade passersby to leave. You should turn back."

Jason stepped out of the Metallic Airship and took out Beirut's token. "I am a subordinate of Beirut, the lord of the Infernal Realm Indigo Prefecture. My master sent me to Skyfall City to pick up a friend. Please inform the powerful figures in the manor."

The other party tried to reach out and check Jason's token, but Jason had already put it back into his Interspatial Ring.

Even the guards couldn't tell them apart.

Jason then returned directly to the Metallic Airship and flew towards Skyfall City, leaving behind a squad of soldiers looking ashamed and indignant.

"Hey boss, let's go kill that bastard!"

"Even if it were true, would a lord of the Infernal Realm really come after us?"

The team members started swearing.

The team leader remained calm. "Ignore him. His strength is unknown. As long as I don't report it, we can wait for the follow-up teams to deal with him. Anyway, they won't trace it back to us."

Jason paid no extra attention to the guards who were left behind, nor did he care about any tricks they might pull.

Skyfall City is just a city, and its highest combat power is only a Asura Seven Star Fiend. If the city is besieged, it is already considered that the Bone Dragon Prefecture Lord thinks highly of Skyfall City, since seven- Six-Star Fiend Seven Star Fiend are not easy to find.

Jason was somewhat confident when facing Six-Star Fiend, but when he encountered Seven Star Fiend, he took out Beirut's token.

Jason was already aware of Beirut's notoriety, as Beirut had not been the lord of the Indigo Prefecture for long, and basically no one below the Seven Star Fiend knew him, not even in the Infernal Realm.

Among those above the Seven Star Fiend, Beirut's name carries exceptional weight. After all, if a member of Sovereign is killed, the Sovereign generally won't lower himself to seek revenge; but if a lord of a palace or a confidant of Paragon expert is killed, the chances of seeking revenge are much higher.

After flying for another five days, Jason encountered several small groups of bandits along the way, but he managed to evade them all, until he was stopped by a group of bandits led by two Highgod.

"Hand over all your valuables and get out of here!" the bandit leader shouted at Jason.

Jason frowned. Although the bandits weren't very strong, considering the special circumstances, he decided to announce his arrival beforehand, "I am a subordinate of Beirut, the lord of the Infernal Realm Indigo Prefecture. My master sent me to Skyfall City to pick up a friend. Please allow me passage."

"You little brat, you think you can just wave your banner around like that? Go ahead and call your Infernal Realm master over here so we can see for ourselves!"

Jason took a deep breath and then rushed over.

This time, unlike the three people who had pursued Naya before, Jason faced a group of bandits, the strongest of whom was only a peak Four Star Fiend. Jason knew that getting entangled with this group would not lead to any breakthrough, so he stopped wasting time.

Without even using the Sovereign Artifact Frost Chill, he charged straight into the battle and wreaked havoc. His strength as Six-Star Fiend was considered top-tier even in the Netherworld, while his opponents were nothing more than a band of robbers acting as henchmen for the Underworld's guards.

After experiencing the feeling of a tiger among sheep for a few minutes, the surrounding robbers scattered in all directions.

To Jason's surprise, after the two Highgod leaders died, a black aura emerged from their heads, a sign of Soul Seed control.

Clearly, they were controlled by the powerful figures of the Bone Dragon Prefecture. No wonder they fought to the death without retreating. If they were normal bandits, they would have run away long ago after witnessing Jason's strength.

Instead of returning to the Metallic Airship, they flew directly towards Skyfall City with Naya in tow.

"This could be dangerous, so remember to run if you see anything amiss," Jason instructed Naya.

He fears no demons below the Seven Star Fiend, but if the enemy is numerous, he may not be able to protect Naya.

"We should have gone to the Bone Dragon Prefecture city to inform them first." Naya still retained the mindset of the Four Divine Beasts Clan during their heyday.

Although Jason could do that now.

"No need. I'm just going to Skyfall City to meet up with my other two clones, and then I'll leave."

Jason was confident that as long as his clones could reunite, he could reach the level of a weaker Seven Star Fiend even without the Sovereign Artifact, Frost Chill.

Jason wasn't fast, but he was still faster than the Metallic Airship.

They were almost at the actual jurisdiction of Skyfall City.

Over the years, the area that the city lord of Skyfall City can truly control has been shrinking year by year, and it is now almost within a thousand miles of Skyfall City. This range is already very small for Deity-level being.

During this time, Jason encountered three more bandit groups. One group retreated immediately upon seeing Jason, while the leaders of the two groups fought to the death and were killed by Jason. The rest scattered and fled.

Only now has a truly powerful figure managed to stop Jason.

"Sir, please stop." The woman was long-haired with a cold expression, exuding a formidable aura.

Jason estimated that the opponent was probably a peak Six-Star Fiend, not quite seven-star yet.

He produced Beirut's token again. "I am a subordinate of Beirut, the lord of the Infernal Realm Indigo Prefecture. My master sent me to Skyfall City to pick up a friend. Please allow me passage; I will leave once I have completed my business."

"Oh? Just a moment." After saying that, the other person seemed to be consulting with a superior.

Jason sighed inwardly, "Finally, someone who can contact the higher-ups of the Bone Dragon Prefecture."

In Dragon Pupil City, the capital of Bone Dragon Prefecture, a man with a youthful face and white hair arrived at the garden pavilion.

There were other people in the garden, and the man in the main seat was a gloomy one.

"My lord, there's a subordinate from Skyfall City who claims to be Beirut and wants to enter the city."

The gloomy man looked at the other group of people in front of him.

Standing before him were the three Seven Star Fiend Jason had encountered at the Golden Deer Prefecture, and also Bessalie.

The leading youth said, "Lord of the Manor, that person might be the one we encountered before."

The Bone Dragon Prefecture Lord sighed, "Beirut, tsk, his people probably won't get involved in this mess. Hopefully, they'll let him into the city."

"Yes, sir."

"You may enter the city now, but remember to leave as soon as possible. The situation in Skyfall City is rather tense recently," the woman blocking Jason's path said before stepping aside.

"Thank you." Jason bowed in gratitude and flew towards Skyfall City with Naya in tow.
