As Nelson completed the last missing piece of the bronze door, faint rays of light emanated from it, spreading from the center to all parts of the bronze door like flowing water, forming an extremely dense and complex magic circle.
Buzz!!
Once the magic circle was fully formed, a bright and dazzling light burst forth, eventually converging and condensing into a constantly rotating Energy Vortex. Then, the vortex stabilized and transformed into a gate ten meters high.
"Haha, it worked!" Raymon looked at the door in front of him, his face beaming with joy. He slapped Nelson's shoulder hard, while Nelson grimaced, his shoulder aching.
"Very good. As planned, Arthur and Will will stay outside with 50 people, while I and the other High-Rank Transcendent will lead the rest into the ruins."
"Remember, if you see anyone approaching, kill them immediately, no questions asked!!" Raymon said with a sinister expression.
At this point, he would not allow anyone to interfere with his acquisition of the treasures in the ruins, not even the son of Legendary, he would kill without hesitation!
"Yes, sir!" Arthur nodded vigorously.
Raymon patted him on the shoulder, then looked at the long line of Storm Claw members behind him, turned around, waved his hand, and said, "Follow me, let's go!"
After saying that, Raymon, as always, stepped through the door first, followed by Nelson, the Black Spider Squad, Harry, and others.
Passing through the gate, the scene before you changes dramatically, revealing a long corridor made of cyan-gold metal.
"Be careful, there might be traps. Let me set up a few trap puppets to test the waters first." Nelson warned, then took a finger-sized puppet out of his pocket, tossed it lightly, and Elemental Magical Energy surged into it. The puppet rapidly expanded, growing to three meters tall, and strode towards the other end of the corridor.
When the puppet had traveled halfway, suddenly, sharp spikes shot out from below, instantly turning the puppet into a sieve.
"It's Rune Array," Nelson said to Raymon.
"What do we do?" Raymon asked, his expression hardening.
"There's no other way but to force our way through."
"Can't we just attack the corridor directly?"
Nelson shook his head. "It's best not to. These mechanisms are likely tests left behind by that Epic spellcaster predecessor. Attacking the corridor might trigger some kind of emergency system and destroy the entire ruin."
After a moment's thought, Raymon followed Nelson's advice. He didn't want to go through all this trouble only to end up with nothing.
How many puppets are left?
"Twenty-four bodies."
"Let's use it for now." Raymon's eyes narrowed slightly, and as he spoke, he subtly glanced at his teammates behind him.
He was willing to sacrifice everything for his Legendary path.
Nelson ignored Raymon's gaze and took out another puppet. As magic power surged into it, the puppet swelled and grew larger, then charged out again.
And so, after using up four golems, the party successfully passed through the corridor.
However, after they turned the corner, they discovered that there were actually three entrances in front of them.
Raymon's face darkened, and he muttered coldly to himself, "A maze!"
"It seems we'll have to put in some effort." Nelson's expression was also grim.
A labyrinth created by Epic- level spellcaster—just thinking about it makes you realize how incredibly difficult it would be to navigate, not to mention the various hidden traps and mechanisms within.
"Damn it!" Raymon cursed, but once he was on someone else's turf, he could only obediently follow the rules they had set.
"Take the leftmost path!" Raymon waved his hand, leading the entire team towards the left-hand passage.
He dared not divide his forces, otherwise, if other teams found the treasure first and looted it all, it would be all for naught.
Don't expect your subordinates to be very loyal.
Everything Western Capital a corresponding value.
Even the most loyal followers will betray him without hesitation when faced with enormous profits.
So Raymon didn't dare gamble and had no choice but to lead everyone to the left-hand passage.
Whoosh whoosh whoosh...!
Columns of fire shot down from the sky, shattering the puppets on the ground.
This is Nelson's last puppet.
Raymon and Nelson exchanged a glance and turned around simultaneously.
"You, come out here!" Raymon pointed at a middle-aged man with Mid-Rank Transcendent.
The latter's expression changed, and he was about to shake his head in refusal, but when his eyes met Raymon's extremely fierce gaze, his body trembled involuntarily.
Disobeying orders will result in death!
This is the message Raymon conveyed in his eyes.
The middle-aged man gave a wry smile, stepped out of the group, and approached Raymon. He whispered, "Please take good care of my son, Chief."
"Don't worry, I will protect your wife and children after you leave," Raymon promised.
Upon hearing this, the middle-aged man took a deep breath, pushed off with both legs, and transformed into a blur as he rushed forward, hoping to use his incredible speed to see if he could cross the corridor.
However, when he reached the last half of his journey, a six-pointed star array appeared beneath his feet, and a giant crocodile suddenly leaped out from it, swallowing the middle-aged man whole.
Immediately afterwards, the giant crocodile flicked its tail and leaped gracefully into the ground, disappearing without a trace, and the six-pointed star array collapsed and dissipated.
Seeing this, Raymon's expression turned cold, and he turned around again.
Wherever his gaze fell, the members of Storm Claw looked like frightened rabbits, their heads bowed and their hands trembling.
"You!" Raymon pointed again, "Come out!"
Just as Storm Claw was testing the mechanisms with the lives of its members, its leader Raymon was on the other side.
On the other side, the mysterious person was also navigating the maze.
Although he didn't have as many people as Raymon, his own abilities undoubtedly made up for it a lot.
The mysterious man stretched out his hand, and a finger detached. As it twisted and wriggled, it miraculously grew limbs and facial features. After the mysterious man infused it with Magical Energy, it became no different from an ordinary person.
"Go!" The mysterious man waved his hand, and his flesh and blood clone rushed into the corridor.
The mechanism was triggered, and a series of Magic Break arrows shot out, pinning the flesh-and-blood clone to the ground.
The mysterious man remained unmoved, stretched out his hand again, and another finger fell off, transforming into a flesh and blood clone.
What's astonishing is that half of his previously severed index finger has actually grown back, with countless fresh buds wriggling and intertwining at the break point, turning into fresh flesh and blood.
Judging by its appearance, it should grow back in about a minute or two.
However, although this mysterious man's regenerative ability is terrifying, his aura weakens with each loss of flesh and blood.
Although each decline was small, the cumulative effect gradually weakened his strength.
