As a component of the vast celestial system of the Astral Realm, the plane is not actually three-dimensional in the conventional sense in terms of spatial dimensions.
The two are essentially in two different dimensions, belonging to a superior-subordinate relationship. The energy and matter composition within their respective planes are fundamentally different from those of the Astral Realm.
Traveling from within a plane to the Astral Realm requires an extremely high level of spatial technology.
This technology is called [Internal and External Space Interaction Technology]!
Within the crystal wall of a plane, it belongs to the inner space.
The higher the level of the plane, the thicker its inner space layer.
By utilizing space technology to break through the inner space layer, one can see the magnificent and vast dimensional crystal walls.
The crystal wall resembles a honeycomb, with many pores that constantly release torrents of energy.
That is the most primal Void Energy, incredibly Berserk. If the spaceship's armor is not sturdy enough, even with mastery of space technology, it will be torn apart by the Berserk Void Energy when passing through the crystal wall.
After passing through the dimensional wall, we arrived in the Infinity vast Astral Realm.
There are countless planes and countless races here!!!
If it's just simple flight without using space technology, although it can reach the end of the plane, it will then arrive at the Lost Corridor and keep going in circles in the loop space. No matter how high the curvature of the spaceship's engine is, it won't help.
Like a beam of light, refracting back and forth within the prismatic glass bottle, it can never reach that wider world without breaking through the limitations of the bottle itself.
Therefore, one of the important criteria the Astral Realm Civilization Council uses to judge whether a civilization has reached the Astral Realm level is whether it has mastered a sufficiently advanced level of space travel technology.
With the engine power of the Madison Pyramid, the master and apprentice were certainly capable of reaching the Astral Realm. So, after leaving Planet Oklo, they directly pierced through layers of dimensional space and arrived at the dimensional wall.
Since it wasn't his first time visiting the Astral Realm, Madison acted as if he knew the way well. After turning the engine to maximum power, a thick energy shield, like armor, enveloped the pyramid and crashed into a honeycomb-shaped exit.
The continuous Berserk impact of Void Energy caused the pyramid to shake violently, seemingly on the verge of falling apart, but in reality, it was unbreakable.
After an unknown amount of time, the tremors subsided, Logo felt a lightness in his body, a feeling that was both relieved and wistful.
Like a bird that has grown its wings and left its mother's embrace, it gains more freedom and a wider world, but loses the greatest and most selfless protection in the world.
"This is what the Mother Plane feels like..." Logo murmured to himself, but he was ultimately an extremely rational person, and quickly swept away the ripples in his heart, looking out through the porthole.
As far as the eye could see, there was only chaos and emptiness. If the Starry Sky still had stars dotting it and their light still existed, then the Astral Realm was utter darkness.
Planes that spontaneously emit light are extremely rare.
Because in this dark forest, light only attracts wolves and tigers; darkness is the best way to protect oneself.
This boundless darkness, stretching to almost every corner of the entire Astral Realm, is called the [Void]!
Dimensions are born from the Astral Realm, yet they float in the Void!
The Void permeates all three dimensions, giving birth to countless lives and wonders. It is filled with Berserk Void Energy, its spatial coefficients are constantly changing, and various Destruction disasters rage. Races and individuals who can venture into and survive in the Void are all true powerhouses.
Here you'll find endless, colossal landmasses, massive Black Hole that stretch across the horizon, Endless Astral Realm mayflies, and the bizarre and wondrous Astral Realm aurora.
There are priceless treasures, perilous places capable of Destruction gods, elusive evil forces, and terrifying divine radiance; there are wicked criminals and Champion who punish evil and uphold justice...
Endless races in the Void weave their own Legendary.
Void Energy is a type of energy of extremely high quality, and it is almost ubiquitous, making it virtually Infinity energy source.
After in-depth decomposition, almost any known energy property can be found in the Void Energy energy: space, fire, wind, earth... and even time!
Only civilizations that can effectively utilize Void Energy can truly establish themselves in the Astral Realm.
Furthermore, due to the chaotic nature of Void Energy, non- Void life forms can only directly absorb Void Energy for cultivation if they reach at least the Legendary level and form their own Sanctuary, and they cannot absorb large amounts of it in a short period of time.
Only God Level beings can absorb Void Energy on a large scale without any scruples.
For the reasons mentioned above, Legendary lifeforms are also known as [basic Astral Realm exploration units], not because they are too strong or too weak, but because they are just right to survive in the Void.
Void life forms do not have this requirement. Regardless of their strength, they are born to survive in the Void, just as fish are born to swim. It is their nature.
A prime example is the Dragon-Hunting Spider Clan, to which Gustavo belongs. These renowned Void Predator so powerful that even newly hatched Dragon-Hunting Spider can thrive in the Void.
Gustavo's [Void Torrent] talent, which he awakened after reaching 91 points in energy attribute, is something you really think you can awaken casually? It's a characteristic of Void Lifeforms.
"Is this the Void? It doesn't look scary at all." Tiffany, the elder of the Dark Twin Stars, said with a sneer as she looked around.
Her younger brother, Sherlock, habitually poured cold water on his sister's enthusiasm, saying, "The manual the eldest gave us clearly describes the situation in the Void. Generally speaking, as long as you don't attract attention, the probability of encountering danger on a single journey is not high. Sister, it's obvious you haven't been studying hard enough; you need to change that habit."
Facing her mischievous and disruptive younger brother, Tiffany clenched her fists, ready to settle things physically. "If I can't argue with you, can't I at least beat you up?"
Seeing this, Sherlock calmly moved to the other side of Logo, choosing to avoid his attack.
At this moment, Crassus, who was practically ignorant except for mechanics, spoke up, shaking his massive mechanical tiger head, and said, "Boss, shall we head straight to the Alchemist Association now?"
"No!" Logo shook his head. "We need to register at the Spellcaster Association's observation post first and get temporary identification. Otherwise, we'll be unregistered in the Astral Realm, and anyone can attack us at will without any punishment!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Madison changed direction, opened the Void Territory Map, set the coordinates, and personally controlled the pyramid's flight.
To be precise, it's long-distance spatial movement!
In the Void, without spatial abilities, you will find it impossible to move an inch; the Infinity vast and desolate territory will leave you helpless.
Light-speed jump?
Are they afraid their target isn't conspicuous enough, that their leaping beams won't attract Void monsters?
If you look up, beyond the crystal walls of the Elven Plane, there is a colossal city hanging like the moon. This city constantly spews out massive amounts of Void Torrent and exudes an aura of domineering power that seems to swallow the entire universe.
This aura is far beyond what Demigod can compare to!
"Void City! One of the Alchemist Association's most iconic creations. This one before me is most likely seven-star level, which is God Level!" Logo gazed up at the approaching, massive city, thinking to himself, "It's precisely because of this seven-star war fortress that no space pirate forces dare to covet the Elven Plane... Even though he's been dead for thousands of years, the Radiance of this God Level Mage still protects his homeland..."
As Logo's thoughts raced, Madison's pyramid approached the Void City.
Even now, the pyramid, magnified to thousands of meters high, is still as daunting as comparing a mung bean to a watermelon compared to the Seven Star Void City.
After parking the alchemy tower, the group stepped out and arrived at the first floor of Sky City.
Here, beneath a dome that rises a thousand meters high, stand towering statues.
One of them caught the attention of Logo and the others.
This is a middle-aged man of humanoid race, dressed in a simple white Mage's robe, wearing a crown, with a serene and natural expression. His overall demeanor is like that of a scholar who has experienced the vicissitudes of life, yet still cherishes the mortal world.
Below the statue of the middle-aged man, some words are engraved.
Elven Cavendulasis was born in the Yellowstone Plane, which was later renamed the Elven Plane in his honor. Elven was a Primordial God, born with the rank of Demigod, and possessed a wise and spiritual nature. A hundred years after his birth, he went into hiding, concealing his strength, and entered Mage academy to learn magic from scratch. A thousand years later, he was granted godhood and joined the Spellcaster Association.
Cavendulasis achieved outstanding accomplishments in the three disciplines of elemental science, Fate science, and causality. Three thousand years ago, he died in battle on an interdimensional battlefield at the peak of the Lower God, passing away at a young age.
(Note: Primordial God can be understood as Innate God born of heaven and earth. Their rank depends on the level of the plane that nurtured them and is not absolutely related to their own strength.)
"What a pity for Lord Elven. In less than 30,000 years, he cultivated to the peak of the Lower God realm. Among the Primordial God, he was considered one of the more talented ones. Given time, he might have been able to ascend to the position of Middle God. Unfortunately, he perished in another dimension. It's all fate!" Madison sighed, looking up at Elven's statue.
Logo smiled faintly, a deep light flashing in his eyes, and said nothing.
However, if you pay attention to his eyes, you will find that Logo's gaze is almost entirely focused on the words "Magic Academy".
"The statue's description doesn't go into detail, but based on the information I have, the magic academy where Elven once studied is very likely the current [Guta Academy]. This God Level Mage certainly helped the Guta Star People become the only plane-level power..."
As many thoughts raced through his mind, Logo also worried: Had Elven left behind any deadly weapons for the Planet Guta?
Like a magical artifact?
Or some other killer move!
This is something we must be wary of and always keep in mind.
Logo has made it a habit to consider the worst-case scenario before doing anything.
After standing beneath Elven's statue for a few minutes, the group bowed and left.
Upon arriving at the registration desk, a spellcaster with green skin, eight arms, and an unusual appearance took out a mirror and shone it on Logo and the others.
After a moment, the spellcaster nodded slightly. "They are indeed native beings of the Elven Plane. Are you sure you want to go to the Astral Realm? I must remind you, once you arrive in the Astral Realm, our Spellcaster Association will no longer be obligated to protect your safety. Identification documents are not foolproof; there are plenty of vicious bandits out there. Think carefully before you go, and don't just rush out on a whim..."
This spellcaster turned out to be an unusual chatterbox, but Logo didn't dislike him. Although he talked a lot, he was kind and showed no prejudice whatsoever.
After thanking the other party for their kind reminder, Logo and the others received their respective identification documents.
At this moment, the kind-hearted green-skinned spellcaster said again, "You need [Star Wheel] to travel to the Astral Realm. Ta Pound cannot be used in the Astral Realm. Remember to register a temporary Weave account and exchange some Star Wheel with your resources. Of course, you can also exchange them after you arrive in the Astral Realm, but you will most likely lose out."
"Understood, thank you for your kindness."
Watching the group's retreating figures, the green-skinned spellcaster shook his head and sighed, "Alas, the protection period is almost over. Poor guys, they don't have many good days left..."
As God Level Mage, Elven had a deep affection for his home plane. He not only made many contributions to the development of his home plane during his lifetime, but also spent a huge sum of money to leave insurance measures with the Spellcaster Association early on.
If he were to perish unexpectedly, the Spellcaster Association would grant the Elven Plane a 2,500-year Civilization Protection Period, as well as three opportunities to join the Spellcaster Association in pioneering expeditions—an excellent opportunity for development.
Elven's plan was excellent; he allowed a full thousand years for development during the first two expansions!
There was also a buffer period before the final clearing.
What is the [Civilization Protection Period]?
In short, a behemoth of a size, like the [Spellcaster Association], mobilizes its power to protect a certain plane.
During this period, other forces within the Astral Realm are not permitted to interfere excessively in the internal affairs of this plane, such as mercenaries, adventurers, and large corporations, including but not limited to all forms of subjective interference such as military, economic, and cultural matters. Thus, the civilizations within this plane can develop and grow independently. (Note: Super-civilizations are unaffected; this is one of the privileges of the highest rulers of the Astral Realm.)
Once the Civilization Protection Period ends, all restrictions will be lifted immediately.
In a sense, the Civilization Protection Period has become a standard feature for major powers to attract powerful individuals, drawing in many God Level powerhouses who are longing for their homelands.
Since the Spellcaster Association is a neutral organization and will not interfere in the conflict between civilizations, once the Civilization Protection Period ends, the major powers in the Elven Plane will inevitably lose their right to develop independently. Becoming a vassal of the Astral Realm civilization would be the best outcome, and the worst outcome would be complete Destruction.
Therefore, all the major powers in the Elven Plane attach great importance to the pioneering operation (interdimensional exploration)!
These three opportunities for interdimensional exploration, which began 400 years after Elven's death, have already been used twice, with each opportunity 1000 years apart. Some forces have reaped considerable benefits, such as the Soaring Dragon Empire of Planet Vist and the Saila Democratic Republic of Planet Saila.
Some forces also suffered heavy losses, the most typical example being the Dawn Empire, which was originally a major empire that was second only to the third largest in the Elven Plane, but is now severely weakened.
The final, third land reclamation will begin in about 20 years.
Based on the previous two calculations, the duration should be 20-30 years!
With this initial development phase over, there are only about 30 years left for digestion and development. After that, the protection period will end, and the biting cold winds from beyond the realm will sweep across the entire plane.
In other words, in less than a hundred years, the Elven Plane will lose the protection of the Spellcaster Association and face the wolves and tigers of the Astral Realm naked.
This is why the situation in the plane has become increasingly volatile over time, with major empires engaging in an arms race.
Winter is coming!
